the 7 steps are needed so you can successfully download. if you downloaded what you wanted, you followed the directions correctly.

Caseycork92 you double click the DMG to mount the disk image. You will also need to enter your serial number for Creative Suite 6 for Macintosh. There is a bit of confusion in the way you explain what you want... more on that in a minute. Whatever the scenario is, you are allowed to have the software installed and working on two machines, so if you like you can leave the original installation intact as a backup and just install on the new machine like you did originally.
Back to the confusion... You say "unsubscribe" which would be associated with the Creative Cloud. You say "creative suite" which would not be a subscription (I think they stopped CS subscriptions when the Cloud came into being). So if you have a Cloud subscription you would sign out of it on the old machine if you no longer want it there. Then you could uninstall if you like. If you have a licensed Creative Suite then you would open any one of the applications in it and choose Help -> Deactivate. Then you could uninstall if you like. -
Need to re install creative suite CS5
I recently had to wipe my computer entirely and now need to re install CS5, but when I originally purchased CS5 I downloaded it all from the Adobe site and am now having trouble finding out how to re install it the same way. Any one have any suggestions?
My current laptop is an XP, so I can't use Creative Cloud. Working on getting that fixed in the next couple months, but for now, I would still like to work with the older version on my old laptop till my new one is ready. I am aware that I could not use both devices at the same time and from what I've read on here, once you've bought creative suite you may install it onto two devices. I'm just wondering how I go about installing onto my iMac, also with consideration that it is a older version of Creative Suite.

There's no 64 bit TWAIN so you need to use the 32-bit version of Photoshop. Personally I'd recommend that you use the scanner software as a standalone application and forget TWAIN, which is rapidly becoming obsolete and more or less abandoned everywhere. All it does is call up the very same scanner software, only from within the PS UI, and tying up Photoshop in the process. -

A single user license only provides for having two activated installations. If you want a third activated installation you will have to purchase another license.
You can install on as many machines as you like, but the activations of those are limited to two per license. You could activate/deactivate as needed, but I do not know if you end up reaching a limit for that as well. I know there used to be a limit on the number of times you could activate. -
Can't install creative suite 5.5
I can't install Creative Suite 5.5 on a PC running Windows 7. Have tried twice but keep getting "Your installation encountered errors". The most recent time shows 2 error messages:

ERROR: DW013: Cannot initialize payload session
Any suggestions?OK, I figured out how to get the install log - on my latest (3rd) attempt to install (and between each time powering down and back on again before trying to install again), I got the same 2 errors messages as indicated in my original post. The Install Log is as follows:

good morning , I have installed Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium and I want to uninstall the Adobe Indesign CS5.5. Deactivation of the license is necessary before then reinstall ?
Are you just uninstalling ID, and leaving the rest of the suite in place? You don't need to deactivate to do that.
A suite license does not permit you to install individual components on many different machines so that different users have access to them, if that is what you are contemplating. -
