Need to re-install missing/corupt dll files on Win 7 Home Premium

Had a power failure from a storm while I was on vacation. When I returned, I noticed I am having problems with long boots and the system is no stable at boot-up. Win Start-up repair no help - can't fix problem. I was not able to restore to a previous good point,
as NOW there are NO restore points on my OS drive. Would like to just restore all or part of the WIN 7 Home Premium as it appears there is no MS disk to repair.  I might even have a problem with the disk hardware or boot sectors. Not sure at
this point. Any help to recover without a complete re-install would be great!

Steve
If you feel you have ‘dll’ corruption problems, run the System File Checker (SFC) from an elevated Command Prompt, i.e. click the Windows Orb (Start) > All Programs > Accessories and right-click Command Prompt, then ‘Run as Administrator’. Type sfc
/scannow (note the space) and press Enter. This may take some time and, depending upon your installation of Windows and what is corrupted, you may have to put the DVD in the drive.
If SFC finds a problem, it will attempt to replace the file(s) from the Winsxs folder. However, if the file is not in \Winsxs or if \Winsxs is corrupted, you will be prompted to insert the Windows DVD.

  • TS5179 I've been bitten by the "Missing MSVCR.dll file" problem when downloading the latest iTunes update (PC w/ Win-7 & Outlook-2007#. 'Have followed Apple's instructions of un-installing all Apple software, and re-installing it. #out of space...??)

I've been bitten by the "Missing MSVCR.dll file" problem when downloading the latest iTunes update, 11.4.62 (on a PC w/ Win-7 & Outlook-2007#. 'Have followed Apple's instructions of un-installing all Apple software, and re-installing it (Ugh).  First result Outlook couldn't find my 1,385 item contact file in iCloud, although the outlook distribution lists were there.  Second result, upon installing iCloud again, I have two iCloud contact files shown in outlook - "iCloud" & iCloud, within iCloud".  1,332 & 1,385 contacts respectively.
Plus an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere.  This is NOT fun at 72-yrs old...!!
So, how do I make sure I haven't lost anythying from Outlook?   Russ-AZ

Interesting response, Kappy  -  Back to original post: "First result: Outlook couldn't find my 1,385 item contact file in iCloud, although the outlook distribution lists were there (therefore, initially I had lost my contact file from Outlook).  Second result, upon installing iCloud again, I now have two iCloud contact files shown in Outlook - "iCloud" & iCloud, within iCloud".  W/ 1,332 & 1,385 contacts respectively.
Plus an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere.  This is NOT fun at 72-yrs old...!!
So, how do I make sure I haven't lost anythying from Outlook?   Russ-AZ"
You can safely assume that I have tried using it!   So, to make things a little clearer:
         1)  I now have two iCloud "contacts files", w/ a different total count. What's the difference?  Why the different toatl count?
         2)  Since re-installing the Apple software (part of the MSVCR" recovery instructions) "couldn't possible affected Outlook", why am I getting an iCloud installation error message saying iCloud moved 6,835 files to a "deleted items folder" somewhere.  What's in those files? And where are they?
Probably more important questions get down to:
         3)  Why is a basic Apple product upgrade "screwing-up Outlook"?  This iTunes upgrade, failing to install properly forced Outlook 2007 into a 2-min start-up cycle.  Which was fixed with this "Goat-Rpdeo" of re-installing MSVCR80.dll.
         4)  And under the latest release of iOS-7.0.4 on our iPhones, why is Apple now forcing us to use the iCloud to back-up our contacts, calendars & tasks, vs. allowing these files to be backed-up directly on our PC's via the USB cable?
Thanks again for your interest and comments.  - Russ-AZ

    Hello Ingo
Thanks to read my problem and for your reply, I have already read that SAP Note 1032461,  I  have the same problem as clearly defined in the note, and suggesting to put LIBRFC32.DLL file in <windows-dir>/system32 folder.
My SAP ECC and BI7 (Kernl 7.00) is installed on 64-bit, x64 Windows Server 2003 Enterprise. I need to download that file from RFC library available on SAP Market place. But, I don't have any super user rights.
If someone has similar setup and has already that file or could download for me. I need to get that file. I appreciated your kindly help.

  • I'm missing a DLL file in Leopard

Hi, im trying to install the IE 8 beta on my new leopard system and it says im missing the DLL file CSSEQCHK.DLL what do i do?

    Hi blackhawkjr,
You would have to be running Windows in order to run Internet Explorer 8 beta using BootCamp.
"CSSEQCHK.DLL " File is a Windows based file and cannot be read by the Mac OS.
    About Boot Camp
With Boot Camp you can install and run Windows XP or Windows Vista on your Intel-based Mac computer, using a Microsoft Windows installation disc that you provide.
Boot Camp Assistant (located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder) helps you set up a Windows partition on your computer's hard disk and then start the installation of your Windows software. To complete the Boot Camp installation, you install Boot Camp drivers to enable Windows on your Mac.
After installing Windows and the Boot Camp drivers, you can start up your Mac in either Windows or Mac OS X.
    Home Index
Installing Windows XP or Windows Vista on your Mac
You can install Windows XP or Windows Vista on your Mac using Boot Camp Assistant, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
NOTE: If you have already installed Boot Camp on your Mac and want to upgrade Windows, you don’t need to reinstall Boot Camp.
To install and set up Windows on your Mac, you’ll need an Intel-based Mac computer with:
A USB keyboard and mouse, or a built-in keyboard and trackpad
Mac OS X version 10.5 or later (the latest version of Mac OS X is strongly recommended)
    The latest firmware updates installed
At least 10 GB of free space on the disk you’re installing on
A built-in optical disc drive, or, if you have a MacBook Air, a compatible external optical drive connected directly to your computer
A licensed copy of Windows XP Home Edition or Professional, or Windows Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, or Ultimate
IMPORTANT: You must use a single full-install Windows installation disc. To install Windows XP, you must have Service Pack 2 or later. Do not install Windows XP without Service Pack 2 and attempt to upgrade it later. Use only 32-bit versions of Windows. If you have a Mac Pro or a MacBook Pro introduced in early 2008 or later, you can use a 64-bit version of Windows Vista.
To install Windows on your Mac:
Back up the important information on your computer.
Open Boot Camp Assistant (located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder).
Print and follow the instructions in the “Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide.”
To install Windows using Boot Camp, you must be logged in as an administrator of your computer.
*DO NOT proceed with any installations* until you have read all the material and feel confident in doing so. http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/bootcamp.html

  • Missing mscrv80.dll file when updating itunes.  what is it and how can I get it back?

When updating itunes the new installation said I was missing mscrv80.dll file.  I've reinstalled but still doesn't work.  How can it be repaired?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • HT4410 I have just installed Windows 7 64-bit full version Home Premium using Bootcamp and cannot get access to the internet. I installed on a Macbook Air Mid 2012 with Mountain Lion. Are there some drivers that are missing from the Windows 7

Dear Apple. I have just installed Windows 7 64-bit full version Home Premium using Bootcamp and cannot get access to the internet. I installed on a Macbook Air Mid 2012 with Mountain Lion. Are there some drivers that are missing from the Windows 7 bootcamp install download from Apple

It is a Total Misconception that the Support files are installed when you are installing Windows, even if the USB drive that holds them is inserted in the system when doing the Windows install.
You must always Run the Setup.exe files from the support files or run the drivers individually once Windows has finished installing and booted to the desktop.
Also you really need to run the Boot Camp Control Panel Applet and check for updates as not all the newest drivers for full function of all the hardware is included with the original support download. That download is basically a generic version to get the system working and without doing the updates not everything will work properly.

    Thanks

No, to install the Hyper-V manager you need to install the RSAT tools (http://blogs.technet.com/b/schadinio/archive/2010/07/09/installing-hyper-v-manager-on-windows-7.aspx),
and those are only available for Windows 7 Pro, Enterprise and Ultimate as mentioned here
