Need to Reinstall 10.1, Sometimes More than Once

In our school environment, we are having to reinstall 10.1 frequently. Yesterday, we had one instance of IE8 playing a Flash video and a second instance telling us Flash player was not installed. In all cases, when we go to reinstall 10.1, the Adobe download manager prompts: "10.1 already installed. Reinstall?"
This appears to happen randomly; that is, we can't find the pattern yet.
OS: Win XP Pro
FP: WIN 10,1,82,76, Started happening with earlier versions of 10,1+.
Browser: IE8
Everything is 32-bit.
This has been happening on different images and hardware platforms.

We are also experiencing problems with videos having to fully buffer before they will play, but I can start a separate thread for that.

Don't use the download manager; better download the executable installer(s) from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
P.S. your installed FP is two versions behind; the latest version is 10.1.102.64

Address book deleted contacts re-appearing - sometimes more than once

I'm having a real problem with .mac, leopard address book and my iphone.
I've got four contacts in my address book that are first names only. Two of these used to be first name and last name. Once I do a sync, these contacts will appear twice - once with first name only, and again with first name last name. I've tried deleting them from all places - .mac, address book and my phone, but as soon as I do a sync again, they re-appear. It's really starting to annoy me.
The other two were always just first name - these two sync perfectly.

I have searched for a contact in the "All" group to no avail. Deleting the .abcddb file did correct the problem initially, but the problem returned shortly after. For now I am scrolling through the "All" list to find the contact I'm looking for alphabetically. It's not the end of the world, just an annoying problem. I do end up finding who I need to in the end at least

This happens when I have several tabs. I'll click another tab and a tiled window appears with one window being the page of the tab and the other one the tab beside it. It's become quite annoying.

Needing to authorize on one library more than once

My laptop apparently has a multiple personality. One the same user library that I recently de-authorized, then re-authorized, when I try to play a number of songs, I now get a a prompt on some (but not all)tunes telling me that I need to authorize the computer. These are also songs I originally purchased on this machine. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the information.Suppose we have 20 views all are differenet and .based on condition one view will call another view.So when i open the webdynpro coponent, in the diagram view all views are appearing, it look clumsy as they are overlapping each other.
Is there any way, we can simplify the design of view in the diagram view section. For example we will put some view in different componenet of same DC and call that somponenet when ever required.
What is the procedure to do this?

So you put a call to your messageeverything() method and pass it all the parameters it needs. What happens? You say it's "not working". What does that look like? Doesn't compile? Compiles but blows up when you run? Compiles and runs but doesn't produce the e-mail note at the server you expected?
Where does that method get Session from? Is this part of a web app? If so, I'd say that messageeverything() method is badly designed. Looks like you're using the Java Mail API to send an e-mail, and there's no good reason that I can think of to couple it to the web tier this way.

I understand what you've done now. You used the "Set Layer Visibility" command which sets the on/off state of all the layers at once. What you need is a more subtle approach, one that will only change the state of the specific layer associated with the button, not the rest of them (so that you could have multiple layers enabled at the same time). The way to do that is by using a script.
I wrote the script for you and applied it to the top-left counties (WILLIAMS and FULTON), in the attached file. You can now copy the actions I associated with those buttons to the rest of them, and it should work as you want it to.

Why would you need to "zero out" more than once?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have always wondered why a hard drive would need to be written over more than once for better security?
If it is writing ALL zeros what is there left to find? I just don't get it.

Hello! A random write could leave a few bits that might be salvadged while the "zero all data" maps out bad blocks and writes all zeros. Once should be enough. Tom

You can install it on as many machines as you like. You can only have two "Activated" at any one time.
So, before you move your work to another machine, simply deactivate the software on that machine, and the activate it on the next one.
Simple.

When I hire an employee, I assign the position, and based on the positions other values get defaulted /assigned to that employee.
I have one case where employee has been assigned to one position, but with different position descriptions, and in report it is showing duplicate entries for the same personnel number, now client need for one personnel number only one row to display in report
Also I tries to run , Birthday list standard report , it is also showing 2 entries (Or sometime more than 2)for the same personnel number , May I know why this is happening?
And how to fix this bug

Hi,
Can you check where the code is written to get employees from position, there may be two cases where multiple records exists for single person.
1) When getting data for pernr assigning to a position they may missed out date condition. If so we need to bring only active positions assigned to that employee.
2) There may be multiple positions assigned to a single person. In this case you need to ask the client what you need to do.
Delete adjacent duplicate is may not be correct solution as which position we need to delete is not sure. You check above two cases and go head.

How do I get ituens to not list the same artist more than once? I have tried editing the info, sorting different ways and sometimes it works and sometimes not...it's very frustrating to me to have the same artist listed multiple times...

Setting a common Album Artist for each Album does most of the work. For deeper problems see Grouping tracks into albums.
In general you need to make sure that all the values in the tags are used consistently. Same spelling, same capitalization, same accents, no leading, trailing, or multiple spaces, and each value of Artist, Album Artist or Album should only be associated with one value of Sort Artist, Sort Album Artist or Sort Album respectively.

when i run the page sometimes it works fine but sometimes it throws Compilation Error as below.

And i delete the particular file from the path and run the page so this time it works fine.
But later after sometime i get the same error but the session number will be changed, then again i need to delete it and run.
What can be the permanent solution for this issue?

Seems like the mdl file is corrupted or was not generated correctly.
Can you try to create the mdl file again and then try the import ?
If it doesn't work then try contacting Oracle Support.

Play audio more than once on a button

I have a need to configure the audio placed on the success status of the button to play more than once. My users may need to hear it again but when clicking it the second time the only thing you hear is the click sound, not the audio. I am using Captivate CS5 and have it set to infinite.

I seem to make it work as follows:
Configure a Success caption for the button that is transparent and has no text. Then assign the desired audio clip to the caption.
Now configure a simple Advanced Action that is a Standard action of Assign. Assign the variable rdcmndGotoFrame with rdinfoCurrentFrame. Assign this action to the Button. This keeps the slide from progressing when the button is clicked.
In my test, the audio played over and over without fail. The only down-side is if you repeatedly click the button too soon. Sometimes you would get just a click. But if you paused briefly between clicks, things sort of "reset" and the audio consistently played.
