Need to reinstall iTunes from the Canadian Website
I just purchased a new iPad from the USA and followed the instructions to install iTunes but from the US site. Now I tried to use my canadian credit card to buy apps and it won't let me, only US CCs will be accepted. Can I reinstall iTunes?
As you've found out, since you've got a Canadian credit card you need to be in Canada and use the Canadian iTunes store.
iTunes itself is global, it's the country that you've got selected on the bottom of the store page that is the problem - click on the USA flag at the bottom and then chose Canada instead.

Can I buy Apple products from the Canadian website from overseas?
I am currently living and working in Singapore. I wish to buy an iPad for my wife who lives and works in Canada. Am I allowed to purchase the iPad from the Canadian Apple Store and have it delivered within Canada? Btw, I'll be using a Singapore credit card for payment. Pls help!
Nobody in these forums represents Apple stores. You should ask the store directly yourself or just read on their website:
http://store.apple.com/ca/help/payments
where it says:
"Credit cards accepted
Apple is unable to accept credit cards associated with a billing address outside of Canada." -
Need help to get itunes running on my PC so that I can back up my iphone.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

App store trying to download itunes from the ipod website.
Ok this is really confusing so bear with me on this one, any help and or suggestions is greatly appriciated.
I have an iPod touch 4g, 8GB
When i connect to the App store, i have my search bar, and i have the regular, "Featured, Categories, Top 25, Search and updates" options strip at the bottom...
Now in between those two ( the search bar and the buttons at the bottom) i have a white screen that is saying I can download itunes and that i just a few steps away etc...
Now i googled a part of the words exact which were " You're just a few steps away from downloading" if you type that in on google it brings me here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/affiliates/download/. Of course on the ipod all of those graphics arent displayed but the text is.
Heres what it all looks like:
when i search things i get a message saying "Loading" but then this text is displayed again.
So i dont know what the problem is i havent tried a system restore yet, but if i do and that doesnt work id appricate any suggestions on what to do next. Id appricate it so much.
Thank you if you read this far.Shut down the Skype app. Stop using whatever app you are using to browse the iTunes store and use the iTunes app on the device.
If you are using the actual iTunes app, then I would strongly suggest restoring as new, then try accessing the store. If you still experience the same problem it would be really, really strange. I believe there is some setting that is goofed on your device. -
Hi, I would be greatly appreciated if anyone could assit me.
I have tried loading ITunes several times, each time I'm getting the same message :Warning iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish too import or burn CD's, you need to reinstall iTunes"
Additionally, the same error message appears despite having made changes to the registry editor.
Thanks
TimmzeeHey there Timmzee,
I would suggest that you reinstall iTunes as a first step for troubleshooting this issue, keeping in mind that iTunes and related components must be uninstalled in this specific order:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
If you are still having issues with your iTunes installation after uninstalling iTunes in the correct order, use this article for further troubleshooting steps:

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Have a good one!

ineed help!!!! i cant reinstall itunes with out the itunes 64 folder and i already deleteted every aspect of itunes from the computer!!!!!
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page).
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
Here's a screenshot showing the particular links on the page that you should be clicking:
After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
(2) Go to the Downloads area for your Web browser. Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

I am trying to download xfinity tv go app. I can not find it in my App Store and can not download it from the comcast website. All I get is a blank screen in the App Store. My Apple ID is associated with a Canadian address. How can I find the app?
Its possible the App is not available in the Canadian store if the link doesn't work for you.

I just installed a Solid State Hard-drive on my computer and am now looking for a way to reinstall Acrobat X Pro that I purchased from the Adobe Website. I purchased Acrobat X from a retail store.
I dont need to install Acrobat X from the Disc before I install Acrobat X Pro I purchased from the website do I? And how do I install Acrobat X Pro anyway?Hi Sonoma707,
There's no difference between the installer on the disk and that available online.
You can download Acrobat 10 Pro from : http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html
and use the purchased serial number to activate the software.

I've installed and reinstalled iTunes 11.1.1 for Vista 64-bit yet keep getting the message "iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CDs you need to reinstall iTunes." I meticulously removed all traces of iTunes before reinstall as recommended and instructed step-by-step on Apple's website. Any ideas how I can get around this, anybody?

My iTunes parent control keeps giving me the same error message. “Parent control preferences could not be unlocked. You may need to reinstall iTunes. “I have uninstalled ant reinstalled iTunes that 4 time now and I still can’t get on. Can anyone help?
Experimental advice ... but, plausibly, the preference files containing the parental control setting may be damaged. If so, removing the iTunes preference files may help.
For the basic technique, see the "Remove iTunes preference files" section from the "User-specific troubleshooting" section of the following document:
iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues
To see those folders, you'll need to first set your PC to view hidden files and folders
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Prior to doing the preference file rebuilds: Best to make a note of any custom preferences you have set up for your iTunes. (Rebuilding pref files returns preferences to their defaults ... so you'll likely have to set some of those custom preferences up again from scratch.) Also make a note of any third-party plugins/add-ons you have installed. You may have to reinstall those after the rebuilds.
Things to watch out for during the rebuilds
Rebuilding the preference files in the \Local\ location causes the iTunes license agreement to run. So you'll need to agree to that again.
Rebuilding the preference files in the \Roaming\ location causes the iTunes Setup Assistant to run. When prompted to do so, do not add files to your iTunes library. (Otherwise you'll end up with a library full of duplicates.) -
I replaced my iPad with a new one. I backed up to iCloud but did not do a physical iTune Sync. Now I am having trouble recovering some Notes and Photos. I have been reinstalling Apps from the App Store. How do I recover my Notes?
Thank you again for all of your help!! I really appreciate it!
I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.
Thank you for letting me know about my contacts! How do I know if I have the contacts app?
Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(
How can I sync using USB? Right now when i click on the info tab for my iPhone in my iTunes this is the answer that I get -- I am a little unclear as to what it means.
Sync Contacts:
Your contacts are being synced with you iPhone over the air from iCloud. Over-the-air sync settings can be changed on you iPhone
Sync Calendars:
Your calendars are being synced with you iPhone over the air from iCloud. Over-the-air sync settings can be changed on you iPhone -

Try removing and then reinstalling the Apple software using these instructions.

The above containes a link for XP. Also. make sure you install the correct Apple software, It comes in 32 and 64 bit and you need the one that is the same as the computer OS
