Need to reinstall office 11

Ok, I lost my imac 2010 to flood from Sandy, but the drive was saved. Water never hit it. It works fine in voyager enclosure. It was bought with office 11 preinstalled by apple. I have copied over to the new imac but when I try opening it a window ps up saying I need to reinstall office. I cannot find any activation codes in any emails and cannot figure out how to download and install a new copy. Is there a way to do this without having to buy another license again?

I was able to find my office 11 disk outside on the deck after the hurricane, and I was able to find my product key. I just wish Apple would have the product key for all software listed along with the serial number for the computer that it was preinstalled so it can easily be obtained if needed.

Do i need to reinstall Office 2008 and iLife if i upgrade my software from Mac OS 10.5 to Mac OS 10.6??

if you do the "normal" upgrade, all you apps should still be available. If you did an erase first, then you will have to reinstall them. BUT, BEFORE you do the install, create a bootable backup, just in case anything happens (very rare, but why temp fate).

  • I need help reinstalling office for my iMac

I need to reinstall Office 2011 for my iMac. I downloaded it off the web and do not have the email that has the product key. I have found out how to uninstall it, but need to know how to reinstall it.
    Thank you

  • Do i need to reinstall office when we change volume licensing to O365

    Hi,
We have Office pro plus installed and licensed with open value licensing. Now we have plans to order O365 midsize plan.
Do we have to reinstall all desktop offices or could we use that office version what we have installed under volume licensing?

Which version of your Office Pro Plus? Office 2013 ProPlus or Office 2010 ProPlus?
If it is Office 2013 ProPlus, you can use the current Office 2013 with Office 365.

  • Reinstalling office 365 home premium !

I had purchased office 365 home premium in sep-oct 2013, as there was hardware problem, need to reinstall office 365 but I do not have password key which was shared at the time of purchase....what's the right method to reinstall the same.

    Hi,
your Office365 purchase is attached to the Microsoft account established by you, at the time.
You need to login with that particular Microsoft account you used, to access your entitlement.
Your Microsoft account is like an email account, and has a password.
I purchased Office 365 Home.  How do I install Office on another computer?
    - If you purchased Office 365 Home or Office 365 Personal, you can reinstall Office at any time at
office.com/myaccount by signing in with your Microsoft account.  You do not need your Product Key to reinstall or install Office on additional computers.

  • If I upgrade to Lion do I need to reinstall my third party software?  Office, etc

If I upgrade to Lion do I need to reinstall my third party software?  Office, etc

If you install Lion in place and are using versions supported in Lion, no.  You should check with your third party software vendors to see whether upgrades are required to work with Lion.  For example, since you mentioned Office, the 2008 and 2011 versions are compatible with Lion.  The 2004 version is not. It is generally a good idea to upgrade your apps first, and then upgrade to Lion, as you may sometimes need the older version of the app to migrate data to the new version.

  • I have an iMac with Microsoft Office and an HD - Time Machine. I'm buying a MacBook Pro and I want to know that if I use the Time Machine to transfer all my stuff the Microsof Office will work or if I need to reinstall it with another licence ?

I have an iMac with Microsoft Office (and several other licenced softs) and an HD - Time Machine that backup all the stuff. I'm buying a MacBook Pro and I would to know that if I use the Time Machine to transfer all my stuff, the Microsof Office will work normally or if I need to reinstall it with another licence?

You do not need a new license. The license file will be found in /Library/Preferences/ and is named, com.microsoft.office.licensing.plist. Be sure it gets transferred and you will be fine. I see no reason why the file would not be in your Time Machine backup nor any reason why it would be restored.
Please visit Pondini's Time Machine FAQ for help with all things Time Machine. You may need help figuring out how to restore your current backup to a new machine.

  • Do I need to reinstall MS Office 2011 after upgrading to Mavericks ?

    Hello,
I have mid 2011 Mac Air. Do I need to reinstall MS Office 2011 after upgrading to Mavericks ?
    Curious to know before upgrading.

You will at least need to apply the update. I believe that can be done before upgrading to Mavericks. If you have trouble, then as Tony T1 says, uninstall fully then reinstall, but I have had no issues o any of my Macs. Update applied to all.

  • Anyone with a hint ref. why my office package wont work after showing this message: "Check with the developer to make sure it works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates"

also, I have to mention I already reinstalled package and nothing works. Help please!

Hi, thanks for getting back. Here is the full content on the window that pops up every time I click on my Word icon: "Microsoft Word cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Microsoft Word works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple". I reinstalled the application, and everything else is updated, so I am not sure what to do.

  • Upgrading to OS10.9.2 I lost my Office 2004 Student Teacher program.  Can I reinstall Office or does 9.2 upgrade no longer supports 2006 Student Teacher?  Tnx,

When upgrading from OS 10.8.6 to 10.9.2 I lost my MS Office 2004 Student Teacher editon software.
This included Word, Excel, Power Point and Entourage.
Is this because 9.2 does not support this older Office program?  Do I need to up grade Office or do I just need to reinstall 2004 Office.
I no longer can enter any of my spreadsheets and its a disaster for me so far.
Can anyone ease my mind?  Thanks.  Jack

Office 2004 and Other Applications Don't Work in Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks
If you have Office 2004 which is a PPC-only suite, it will not work in Lion/Mountain Lion. You need to upgrade to Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion/Mountain Lion.
You may want to consider as well:
These two suites are similar to Libre Office but not as current or as well-supported:
    NeoOffice
    Open Office
And, then there is Apple's iWork suite:
Pages - word processing and layout
    Keynote - presentation
    Numbers - spreadsheet
Each can open and save Office compatible files. They may be purchased separately via the Mac App Store for $19.99 each.
As for other software, any PPC-based software will not run in Lion or Mountain Lion because Rosetta is no longer part of OS X. You will need to upgrade to Intel versions of the software.
(Access to the Mac App Store requires Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or higher and an Apple ID.)

  • If I upgrade my macbook pro from snow leopard 10.6.8 to mountain lion, will I lose any current software, files, or need to reinstall or reset anything?

I want to be sure that I won't lose things like microsoft office (I need excel for work) or my word files. Will I lose anything by upgrading to mountain lion? will I need to reinstall things or spend a lot of time restoring and resetting to get things set up as I have them now?

Probably not. Back up your computer first, and ensure that your applications are compatible wih Mac OS X 10.8; Microsoft Office 2004 and earlier aren't.

  • When I upgrade to Snow Leopard, do I need to reinstall all of my programs?

When I upgrade to Snow Leopard from OS x 10.4.11, do I need to reinstall all of my programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite?

I, like you, did an upgrade from 10.4 to 10.6 on my iMac. It was the simplest ever upgrade! Everything was left intact. It really just changed the System Software. I did need to go in and change some preferences to my preferences, but that was about it.
I speak from experience, rather than trying to pass myself off as an expert.
If you can, get a copy of "The Missing Manual" for Snow Leopard. It covers the upgrade as well as other features of 10.6
