Need to reinstall Photoshop CS2 but it can't find a previously installed version so won't reinstall

Photoshop CS2 told me there was a "major problem" and that I would need to reinstall the software to continue using it.
So I used the installer CD, but it told me it could not install because there was already a copy installed, which would need to be removed.
So I removed the old version and tried to reinstall but now it tells me it needs a previously installed version in order to reinstall.
Adobe "customer service"chat  is 100% useless on this, referred me to the 800 #, been on hold for over 45 miinutes now, and no relevant topics found on "help" forums.
For a multibillion dollar monopoly, you'd think they could hire a couple of customer service reps but I guess it's all DIY "support" here, so can anyone help?

So, you are NOT trying to reinstall an upgrade, but a purchased version (not in an upgrade path from one version to the next)?
If that is correct, there should be no request for a "previously installed version." That only appears when one is installing an upgrade.
Are you installing from physical media (a DVD), or from a download?
Sorry, I do not have an answer for you.
Good luck,
Hunt

I have bought the new photoshop cc but i can't find where to download it?

    Hi Rebecca
I spend a fair bit of time answering question on this forum, but I had to do a clean reinstall of my operating system, and reload all programs recently. And I can't say it was particulary easy to find and download the Desktop Application manager, which handles the rest of the installations for you.

  • Downloaded and installed Photoshop CS6, but I can't find it.

Hi, I used the Adobe Application Manager to downloaded and installed the Photoshop CS6, but I can't find the software. The Adobe Application Manager says it's the newest, and I can't find uninstall Photoshop (I'm working on MAC OS, by the way). Other softwares are working, only the Photoshop. And I try to uninstall all product, it says Adobe Application Manager is broken. I reinstalled the Adobe Application Manager, it still can't uninstall all product. Is there anyone can help me? Thanks.

  • I've downloaded and installed photoshop cs6, but I can't find it on my mac air.

I downloaded and installed creative cloud, and I then downloaded Adobe Application Manager, and from that I downloaded and installed Photoshop cs6. When I clicked on 'launch app' nothing happened. According to the application manager I've installed photoshop, yet I can't find it anywhere on my mac air, all there is are a bunch of folders, but the actual program of photshop is nowhere to be found.

Ficam56 if you go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers do you see a listing for Photoshop there?  If so please run the uninstaller and then reinstall.

  • IPhoto needed upgrading . I upgraded ,but now can not find my photo??????

The iPhoto would not view my pictures. I had over 20,000 pictures on my iPhoto it upgraded and now i can not locate my pictures?????????

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 10 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • Can't add google calendar to TB. Lightening and goog prov both download but I can't find them once installed.

I've fiddled with this for days, and can't get it to work. I downloaded and installed (I think) lightening and google prov ider but can't find them in the TB program under tools or addons. Could someone provide a simple set of steps to get my google calendar in TB? I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt: Thanks for your reply. The extension list has lightening 3.3.3 and and provider for google calendar 1.04 but the options button is not there for provider. If lightening is the way to get my google calendar, and it is listed but doesn't seem to do anything, what am I missing? Is there something in addition to Lightening to bring the calendar in? I very much appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

  • F.F. keeps telling me i need an ActiveX Plug-in but i can not find one for 3.5.11. This is the first time i have ever had a problem and totally lost here...please help. Jared

I was going to add some new ringtones to my cell and in trying to listen to the samples i keep getting the Firefox needs to an ActiveX Plug-in would i like to be directed to where it is but nothing there matches....
    == This happened ==
    Just once or twice
== Every time i have tried to go to site to review ring tones...

Firefox, and most other browsers except IE, does not use ActiveX. See [[ActiveX]]
You can try this add-on to see if it will allow you to listen to the ring tones by using IE's rendering engine in a Firefox tab:

  • Need a help to this but I can't find a specific community.

    Hi Guys,
I got some designs that I need to do a Mock-up on Responsive HTML5 (JUST MOBILE.. not desktop So I need to build something just for Phones and Tablets). I got all the screens on Photoshop. I need to get those designs and build a responsive prototype on HTML5...
Should I use EdgeReflow ?? The code will be clean and nice? OR  Should  I build on Muse?
I don't have time to code everything .. Need some magic tool that will make the stuff.
After build the prototype I will give to the Back-end guy, he will do his job with "getting data from the server stuff" and we will put the files on PhoneGap to build a Hybrid App.
What is the best choice? Deadline is short.
    Cheers!!

  • How can I uninstall a previously installed version of Aperature from another owner?

    Hi,
I purcased my iMac from a previous owner.  His version of Aperature is still on it - registered under his AppleID.  I would like to uninstall it as it is preventing me from using my own version of iPhoto.  How can I do this?  Would it be asvisable to uninstall it and then purchase a new version of Aperature and then convert my iPhoto library to Aperature?  Right now, iPhoto wont launch becuase it wants me to upgrade Aperature, but I don't own a registered copy to my Apple ID, so I can't upgrade it.
    My setup is:
    iMac 27" 12,2
    3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
    32GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048MB
    OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)
    Aperature 3.2.4
    iPhoto 9.5.1
    Thank you!

The previous owner of that machine should have wiped it and install the original OS that shipped with the system leaving the system at the point where the new owner takes over and enters all there own information.
Before you go much further with this machine you should seriously consider backing up any new stuff you have done and wiping it and starting from scratch. If you keep the system like it is you  will be plagued with problems. Even doing OS updates will prove frustrating.
Right now the best you can do is to move the Aperture that is on the system into the trash, log into the App Store using your ID and buying Aperture. That should work but to be honest I have never had to do it so can;t say for sure.
You might want to look at this What to do before selling or giving away your Mac from Apple to read what they recommend.
    good luck

  • Where can I find the previous BIOS version to 2.54?

I accidentally updated the BIOS for my Lenovo E430. I want to backtrack on the BIOS , so I need the previous verison. Does anyone know the number of the previous version and where I can find it on the Lenovo website?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Good day.
Please have a look at your machines's support site:
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-edge-laptops/thinkpad-edge-e4...
If you select either the bootable CD or Windows updater link and scroll to the bottom of the resulting page, you'll see a grid of previous versions, along with their documentation files.
As with any BIOS update, please review the documentation thoroughly.
    Hope this helps a bit.

  • 1.can't find live chat 2. Firefox recommends updating, but I can't find entrance to the sequence to do this

I have scrolled thru all the Firefox pages I can fine...nowhere can I find where to access live chat.
Also have a message my Firefox version is outdated...but I can't find where to install a newer version

There is no live chat anymore, it was stopped for now to increase emphasis on the forums.
To update Firefox, you will simply need to click on Help on the menu bar on the top of your screen (Where it says File, Edit, View, etc), then go to "About Firefox". Then click "Apply Update" after it finishes downloading. Your Firefox will restart, and you'll be up to date :)
read [[Updating Firefox]] for more information.
