Need to remove an old podcast that is no longer valid

Hello!
I currently have two very similar podcast feeds showing in iTunes - one needs to be deleted because not set up correctly. I have submitted my request several times but no luck - have tried to block the RSS feed from iTunes - but must be doing something wrong.
I did delete the entire feed and podcast channel from the website in powerpress...if the feed is no longer valid will iTunes then remove it?
Please help - it is currently confusing to people when they search by name and two identical looking podcasts show up.
How can I reach anyone with iTunes to help me one on one? Is this even possible?
Any help is much appreciated...I have had no luck for the past 3 weeks
Thanks!
Angie

Clicking 'Report a concern' is supposed to get them to remove it but recently they've just been telling people to use the 'itunes:block' tag - which isn't a log of help to people who have lost control of, or can't edit, the feed.
Adding the 'itunes:block' tag should get the Store to stop showing it from the next time it checks the feed; of course if you've now removed the feed that won't work. Once the feed is no longer there it's likely to be removed from the Store but it may take some time.
You could try emailing them a podcasts 'at' apple.com - their level of helpfulness is very variable, but it might work.

I have iWork 09 with a family license. I am unable to install the software on my new Macbook Pro (the message is simply "Installation failed"). I wonder if I need to remove an old computer from the family license, and if so, how?

Yes, gladly. I am trying to install on a 13" MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.3. I insert the disk into the SuperDrive. The I work '09 window pops up with two icons: one Tim install and one that says "Read before you install iWork." I double-click on the "Install iWork '09" icon, and a window appears that says, "This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed." I click "continue" and see "Welcome to the iWork '09 installer." I click on "Continue." The "read me" bullet on the left lights up, and I see "Read before you install. . . ." I click "Continue," then see the software license agreement. When I click on "Continue" again, I am asked to agree, and I do. The window then says, "Standard Install on 'Mackintosh HD" and indicates how much space the program will take.
I click "Install," enter my password, and the installation begins. It goes through a validating phase and begins "writing files." It indicates that installation will take about 30 minutes (although that number fluctuates). After about four minutes it goes to "cleaning up." Then after just a few seconds, the "Summary" bullet on the left lights up and this message appears: "There were errors with the installation. You may want to try installing again." There is a large yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it, and a bold "The installation failed." Below that appears "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
At that point, a "Close" button is pulsating blue at the bottom of the window.
Sorry for the tedious detail. Anything revealing there?
    Thanks!

  • Anyone know how to remove an old computer that doesn't exist from the iTunes wifi sync list?

I am trying to remove an old computer that I don't have anymore from that list.  I tried the 'de-authorize all" but that didn't work.

About De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
Also, see iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.

  • How do I delete old podcasts that I downloaded directly to my iPod Touch?

I cannot delete old podcasts that I downloaded directly to my iPod Touch through its Wifi connection. Manually deleting them in iTunes doesn't work--my laptop doesn't recognize that they are on my iPod. What should I do? I want my memory back!

I have the same problem.  I usually can delete by swiping but for some reason the delete button doesn't show up on this podcast.
I don't know exactly what I did, but when I downloaded from the iTunes store over WiFi, it just downloaded a link to the podcast so I need to be connected to a Wifi network to play it.

  • HT1920 I need help removing my old email address

I have a new email address and need to remove the old one can you help me with that?

Assuming that this is for your iTunes account, then on your iPad you can tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and log into the account and you should be able to update your account's primary email address - or you can do it via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

    Hello tcnolen1,
It sounds like you are trying to change the Apple ID logged into the iTunes & App Stores on your iPhone.  Use these steps:
    Changing your Apple ID account
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in.
Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID.
You can find the full article here:

  • HT1349 I need help finding an old library that itunes states my ipod is already linked to

I need help finding an old library that it states my ipod is already linked to.  My computer recently had a terrible virus and needed to be wiped clean.  I had to redownload itunes and I bought several songs.  I want to add them to my old library because I had several cd's that I had uploaded.  Is there a way to find that old library and combine them without having to erase all the songs that are currently on my ipod???  Thanks

Umm.  If you wiped the hard drive, then all old libraries are gone unless you have them on backup.

  • If I am updating an app do I need to remove the old one first?

IIf I am updating an app on my IPad, do I need to remove the old one first eg books or Linkedin?

NO, the update is applied to the existing app. No need to delete the old one.

  • Ipod failing to sync old podcasts that aren't there

I have a 30GB video iPod. Trying and failing to sync with iTunes on MacBook Pro.
First of all it says some items in the iTunes library including xxxx were not copied because they could not be found. It then gives a list of OLD podcasts that I can't find in iTunes or in finder.
It gets so far and then says "attempting to copy to the disk yyyyyy failed. The disc could not be read from or written to.
However it is NOT an iPod problem. The same iPod will sync fine with iTunes on a windows PC and a Shuffle suffers the same problem with this MacBook Pro.
    TIA

What do you mean by old files?   If I am cleaning up a variety of unwanted items I usually put them all into a folder and delete the folder.   Are you talking about Time Machine records?   If so, be very careful how you delete them.

Connect your new phone to your computer using the USB cable and it should appear in iTunes. If it doesn't you will need to troubleshoot. Then see: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2109

I did not deactivate a photoshop cs6 before there was a new "C" hard drive installed on my computer and a Win7 Pro fresh install too. How can I activate photoshop on the new hardware if I can't deactivate it on the old hardware that is no longer available? Any help will be appreciated.

If it's the same machine (same CPU) there should not be any need to activate.  The actiovation is tied to your CPU.

  • How can I deactivate an old computer that I know longer have?

How can I deactivate an old computer that I know longer have? I own two computers and Adobe permits two computers on a subscription. However, when I bought my third new computer and didn't deactivate my old computer, I did not notify Adobe. Now, there is a message saying that I must deactivate the old computer to register the new computer. I don't know how to do this. Can anyone help?

You cannot yourself deauthorize a computer that's not working or to which you no longer have access. You can authorize a total of up to five systems, so unless you've hit that limit it's probably not really important that you deauthorize your dead unit now. Once you reach five total authorizations, a button will appear in your iTunes Store account that will allow you to deauthorize all your systems, so that would at that time recover the now-useless authorization.
If for some reason you really feel you need to deauthorize a system and you're not at the five-system limit, you can try contacting  the iTunes Store customer support department through their Contact form (follow the on-screen instructions)  and explaining the problem to them. They might be willing to clear your authorizations for you.

I had my ipod synced to an old computer that I no longer have how can i get all my stuff on the new itunes without erasing it

    Most Windows users don't.
Purchase an external hard drive and use the backup software that comes with it to backup files from your computer.
Buy TouchCopy and install it on your new computer, connect your old iPod and transfer your songs to your computer.

  • Can you please CLEAN up the podcasts that are no longer in service or being maintained? It's very tedious to click on someone's podcast to find that it hasn't been updated in 3 years.

You are right, a lot of older dead podcasts do not belong in the podcasts section. But there is still a lot of these podcasts that have good information and deserve to still be listed. For example there is quite a few photography lesson based podcasts in which you can get good information from different sources.

  • HT201272 I no longer have any of my pcs that I had registered on iTunes and I am at my limit on the number of registered devices  how do I unregistere old machines that I no longer have so I can get my old music that I have down loaded.?

I no longer have any of my pcs that I had registered on iTunes and I am at my limit on the number of registered devices  how do I unregistere old machines that I no longer have so I can get my old music that I have down loaded.?

Go to your account in the iTunes Store and look for the De-authorise All button in your account's details. Use the De-authorise All and then authorise the PCs you still have.
