Need to remove old email account

An old gmail account shows up on my Torch 9800 in Setup-->Email Accounts as an Enterprise Account. It also appears as an Enterprise Activation icon on my Torch screen. Finally, it appears on Contacts-->Select Contact List. This gmail account was once on my Torch as an Internet Mail Account, but I deleted the account (from gmail and from the Torch). It no longer exists as far as Google is concerned. It never was and never should never have been an Enterprise Account, and I don't know how it became one. How can I completely wipe this gmail account from my Torch? Thanks in advance.

If you go to your phone's browser and follow www.blackberry.com/integrate , you should be able to deal with it from there.
I hope that helps you.
EDIT: OK, apparently that's good for adding an account but not for deleting one. If you contact your carrier, they can either help you with it or can grant you access to their self-serve BIS site from where you can take care of your email account(s).
There. I hope THAT helps you.
- If my response has helped you, please click "Options" beside my post and mark it as solved. Clicking the "thumbs up" icon near the bottom of my response would also be appreciated.

• Mail app not removing old email accounts

Hi,
I have mail accounts that I made in the internet accounts section of the system prefrences and then deleted not disapearing from my Mail App. they were deleted due to duplication of a google mail account and a few fails at getting an outlook account to work.
They are NOT now in the interenet accounts, how ever do show up in mail. If you go to the mail prefrences and try and remove them it sends you back to the internet accounts in the system prefrences where theyhave already been deleted. A second Quirk is that I thought I could just disable the unwanted google account howver when I do it disables the duplicae too.
How can I get mail to behave and remove the ghost accounts? this has partly happed as I wanted all my macs to use the same accounts over Icloud so when I turned it on, it doubled up accounts on my main computer, I then removed the non Icloud shared accounts,
Thanks for the help

If you search on this forum and compare popular web hosting providers like Bluehost, Hostgator and Godaddy you will see many users have such problems with their email apps. First it seems your problem comes from your cellphone. But it is surprising that I had the same problem when I had a web and email hosting account with Godaddy and their customer service couldn't solve my problem and finally I moved my email hosting account to Bluehost and the problem automatically was solved, without any action!
So I recommend to you and any other users with similar problems to change your email hosting provider. Now that you are unhappy with Godaddy I recommend to try http://www.bluehost.com or http://www.hostgator.com companies.
I have the S3 and don't have any problem with syncing my Hostgator email accounts. So If I were you first I'd try Hostgator.

• TS2446 Apps asking for old email account password I have not used in years

Please tell me how to remove old email accounts that are connected to my apps? It is asking for yahoo password that I have not used in years. I need to delete yahoo account linked to apple account

It's doing that because these apps were originally purchased with that Apple ID. Apps and their updates are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them. The only way to stop this would be to delete these apps from your phone and your iTunes library, then repurchase them with your current ID.

Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I Need help to take off an old email account off my iPad can you help me?

Do you mean to edit your APple ID or to remove a mail address from the mail app.
If it's your Apple ID, start looking here. http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/
If you want to remove your e-mail from the mail app go into settings, mail, contacts and calendar and then tap on the account in question and delete it.

Hi, how are you seeing these eMails if the account is removed?

• How can i remove the email account without deleting the email account?

Hi
I have an old email account which I want to remove from Mail, which I know how to do. However I don't want to delete these emails but rather park them off-site so that if I ever need them again I can easily re-import. By removing the email account in preferences it says it will delete all the emails etc. from my computer. Is my only solution to copy the emails to a different location, then delete the account and if needed re-import at a later date?
Thanks
David

You can do a couple of things.
You can Export the emails to a .mbox file then Import them in which will create an Import folder in Mail; then delete your email account. Or you can just disable the email account leaving it in your list of accounts only disabled.

• I'm trying to change my BlackBerry ID, I no longer have access to my old email account - what can I

I'm trying to change my BlackBerry ID, as I can't remember the password, I can't reset it as I no longer have access to my old email account. What can I do?

Oh. You had not said you had tried that. To enter a NEW BlackBerryID on a device existing with an old BBID, you must perform a security wipe on the device first.Switching the BlackBerry ID on the BlackBerry PlayBook or BlackBerry 10 smartphone:In order to switch the BlackBerry ID that is associated to the BlackBerry 10 smartphone or a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, a security wipe will need to be performed.Warning: Performing the security wipe will result in loss of stored data on the smartphone or tablet. Be sure to create a backup and also transfer files to a computer prior to performing the security wipe.Prior to performing a security wipe of the smartphone or tablet, transfer files to a computer so the files can then be transferred back to the smartphone or tablet after the security wipe is complete and the new BlackBerry ID is configured. If you are moving to a new device or tablet you can backup your data, complete a security wipe (to remove the BBID), sign in with the same BBID on the new device, and restore your data.If you are completing these steps due to loosing access to your BBID account you will not be able to restore any data as the same BBID account must be used to complete the restore process.See the following links for information on backing up data:KB26068 - How to transfer files to and from the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and BlackBerry 10 smartphone.Manually synchronize music files to the BlackBerry 10 smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.Import your contacts and calendar appointments from Microsoft Outlook. To perform the security wipe:On the BlackBerry 10 smartphone, see KB33591.On the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, see KB27188.Once the security wipe has been completed, a new BlackBerry ID can be created on the smartphone or tablet during the initial setup.

Hi vegasbob,
You need to do the following:
1. Go to Manage Your Apple ID https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
2. Sign on with your current Apple ID and password
3. Change your Apple ID to the old email address, but do not verify it - Save Changes
4. Go to Setting>iCloud on your iPad, and scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Delete Account
5. It will ask you for your password to turn off Find My iPhone, type in your current password
6. Delete iCloud account
7. Go back to Manage Your Apple ID and sign in with the changed ID and current password
8. Change your Apple ID back to your current ID - Save Changes
9. Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign on with your current Apple ID
You should be all set.

• How do I delete an old email account?

After change of internet service provider I need to delet an old email account. How can I do so?

In a similar problem, I have an old work email that is imported to mac mail / icloud. Following the advice above (
Mail Preferences/accounts, advanced tab and click disable this account.
You can re-enable this account to check for anything that may have come in there.) doesn't help because the only account that shows up is my icloud/mac account.
Any advice to no longer receive imported mail from the old work address?

• HT1937 I have an iTunes gift card but can't use it. I can't remember my security questions and it keeps sending an email to an old email account which I don't use any more. How do I fix this?

I am wanting to use my iTunes gift card but it says that I have to verify my account. I thought I had already done this. It says I have to answer two security questions but I can't remember the answers to the questions. When I go to change the answers to something I will remember It keeps sending the email to an old email account. How do I change this. It is very annoying

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

• My iPod touch is not connecting to iCloud account, under iCloud settings has old email account and username that I have since updated and are working correctly on my iPad, any idea how I can reset this?

My iPod touch is not connecting to my iCloud account, under iCloud settings it has my old email account and username that I have since updated and are working correctly on my iPad, any idea how I can reset this on the iPod or otherwise? This old account info keeps coming back on my iPod and messing up access to my apple account and now the icloud. last time a system restore needed to be done to fix it....

It won't give me the option to sign out of the old account, it's that light grey color that you can't click on. And since it has the old email address that it's telling me to go into to verify the account, I can't actually change it... I'm stuck

• What if you do not have access to an old email account to fix iCloud problems?

So I seem to be having the same problem as a lot of other people - I have updated my apple ID however my iCloud has not followed. When I go to change it, the old email is grayed out. I have clicked delete account, and it needs my password to my old ID to turn off 'Find my Phone'. I cannot change my current account to be linked up to my old email as it is an email I no longer have access too. What can I do? Any help would be greatly appreicated as everytime I go into my emails I am getting bombarded with iCloud account information popups.
Imdizz.

You shouldn't need access to your old email account to fix this. Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change (don't verify the old address). Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
