Need to rename my handheld device to match my computer.

I bought a new Palm Z22 and I apparently named it differently than the old Palm I had set up on my computer.  I want to transfer my info from my computer to my new Palm and my computer does not recogize the name.  I'm not very computer savy so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You have 2 options for this. You can hard reset the handheld to get it back to factory condition and erase the username. The hard reset will erase all data on the handheld.
Another option is to erase the username on the device.

  • Need to read Hex data format for Handheld device. (SAP AII RFID )

    Hello,
    we developed a custom screens for packing, unpacking, tag commission.. etc for handheld device for my client. the Serial number field  type is /ain/barcode. Its working fine. but for the new system need to read the Hex format. I created a new field in the screen. but the handheld device is not reading the Serial number in Hex format.
    Could anyone suggest me how to read Hex data in Handheld devices. We are using Motorola MC9090 Series.
    Regards,
    Kamal

    Hi
    Are you using the reader to read an RFID tag or for reading barcodes.
    Ideally, if you read an EPC Gen2 RFID tag, for example, the 96 bit encoded EPC is read and that can be converted to its equivalent  HEX format for posting the observation to SAP AII.
    In case of barcodes, the string is read as is printed on the barcode.

  • Getting Handheld devices to Work - XSLT, WebSAPConsole etc

    Hi
    We are trying to get the mobile handheld device working AII. We are using Intermec IP4. We are referring to the Mobile Device Integration Guide pdf document from SAP. We have got the WebSAPConsole to display the \AIN\MOBILE1 transactions, and we are able to do pick pack etc with AII.
    But how do we get a mobile device to read data and communicate to SAPAII?
    At the WebSAPConsole administrator in the "Web" tab, we originally had:
    Displayer Filename = WebDisplayer.dll. We used an XSLT to try to activate ActiveX controls on HTML page and registered this XSLT in registry as in the pdf guide. But, we could not see any ActiveX controls loaded or activated in the HTML page on mobile device (or even on desktop browser).
    Next, as per guide we used XMLDisplayer.dll in console administrator instead of WebDisplayer.dll, but we get the error: "Error: can`t initialize" on the browser. We could not find such a file as "XMLDisplayer.dll" in the WebSAPConsole server's installed directory.
    How do we get the correct XMLDisplayer.dll file?
    Also, the trace file loacted at c:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\websapconsole\log\AII4.0\ is not having any content. How do we get a trace?
    Can anyone help in getting this device working please? What steps are to be followed?
    Also, can someone how someone can help us in understanding how all this works?
    Regards
    SN

    Hello SN,
    first of all: websapconsole only can display a subset of gui controls see Note 535075.
    The traces: I assume that you put the Tracelevel to 3, please remember that the user credentials for the isapi under webserver are restricted. I.e. the directory you are trying to write to is probably forbidden for IUSR_.. / IWAM_...
    Please try a directory of which you know that is writable to all e.g. c:\temp.
    Then the XMLDisplayer: There is no such thing like a correct XMLDisplayer, it is the correct one and (I checked) is delivered in the lastest SapGUI 640 patch.
    The XMLDisplayer is just a generic XSLT processor that takes the gui model generated by the backend and a XSLT translation files and produces some (mostly HTML) output.
    You already found the dependencies for WebSapConsole in the registry.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\Ofek\SapConsole\Profiles\..]
    The XMLDisplayer is relying on the following entries:
    SapPageDisplayer XMLDisplayer.dll
      (the transformer)
    TransformerXSL transform.xsl
      (the translation that drives the application)
    OfflineTransformerXSL offline.xsl
      (the translation called for messaging / error e.g. "connection to R3 broken")
    Some of the handheld firms are delivering an XML translation file for Websapconsole for their product.
    If you don't have an xsl file then a good start would be to define a small xslt that matches all and generates all the nodes "as is" to the output.
    Then the base XML model is clear and you can start e.g. rebuild the websapconsole webdisplayer.dll HTML output and from that point you're free to change it to your needs as long as you stick with the fieldnames and the submitting scheme.

  • Can I use applworks database on a handheld device?

    I am designing a price book for the grocery store. Would like not to invest in another software so I am attempting to use Appleworks database. My purpose is to take this info to the grocery store on a handheld device. I am open to suggestions on which handheld device would work best for this. Handheld must be phone, ical, addressbook. [internet & email not a needed feature.]

    There a program by DataVizcalled Documents to Go. It used to support AppleWorks files, but I think it is unlikely that it does any more. Click the link I have provided for more information.

  • Web Dynpro Java Application for Handheld Device

    Hi everybody,
    I have been reading some documentation about what is the best option to create an application for handheld device. So this is my landscape. I have SAP Netweaver 7.4 SR1 AS ABAP, and Java instance. So, I want to know whether is possible to create a normal web dynpro java application and then visualize this application on Browser of handheld device. That's all that I have to do? I read that exist another solution Developing mobile application for handhelds. By other side a need to know how to is the integration of this device with this application if exist. This application is going to consume data from SAP Backend system, so I just have to create JCO's for connect this application to this system, right?
    Please, can you help me with that.
    Best Regards.

    Hi Deepti,,
    Refer to the following thread which says that you must retrieve the data from the CRM backend system using standard BAPI's or customer Remote enabled function modules (socalled RFC's) and to access the backend system you will have to set up an RFC connection with CRM system.
    Regarding web dynpro and CRM

  • Rotate node for displaying landscape/portrait on handheld device

    The javafx application I am developing will eventually be running on a handheld device with 800x480 resolution. The application will typically be running in portrait mode, but for some features (e.g. displaying charts and tables), it will need to switch to landscape mode to better display the data.
    My question is, is there a straight forward way to operate with nodes that are rotated by multiples of 90 degrees?
    I can rotate the table by calling setRotate(), although this introduces several new issues:
    To resize column widths when rotated, the user has to drag the column dividers left to right (orthogonal to the row of headers), The table still expands its width/height to the size of its parent, although this doesn't work as well when rotated -90 degrees (or other multiples of 90).
    The other constraint is that the chart content is contained in the center of a BorderPane, where the top and bottom of the BorderPane contain toolbars, which prevents rotating the entire scene.
    Here is my SSCCE; please correct me if there are any problems with the code below.
    import javafx.application.Application;
        import javafx.event.ActionEvent;
        import javafx.event.EventHandler;
        import javafx.scene.Scene;
        import javafx.scene.control.Button;
        import javafx.scene.control.TableColumn;
        import javafx.scene.control.TableView;
        import javafx.scene.layout.BorderPane;
        import javafx.scene.layout.Pane;
        import javafx.scene.layout.VBox;
        import javafx.stage.Stage;
        public class TablePanelTrial extends Application {
            BorderPane root = new BorderPane();
            private boolean isRotated=false;
            public static void main(String[] args) {
                launch(args);
            @Override
            public void start(final Stage primaryStage) {
                primaryStage.setTitle("Table Panel Trial");
                final TablePanel tp = new TablePanel();
                Button btnRotate = new Button("Rotate");
                btnRotate.setOnAction(new EventHandler() {
                    @Override
                    public void handle(ActionEvent event) {
                        double r = -90;
                        if(isRotated){
                            r=0;
                            isRotated = !isRotated;
                        else{
                            r=-90;
                            tp.tv.setMinHeight(200);
                            isRotated = !isRotated;
                        tp.rotate(r);
                root.setTop(btnRotate);
                root.setCenter(tp.getVB());
                primaryStage.setScene(new Scene(root, 480, 800));
                primaryStage.show();
            class TablePanel{
                private VBox vbox = new VBox();
                private TableView tv = new TableView();
                private String[] labelVal = {"Column 1", "Element", "Difference", "File Name", "Report Number"};
                public TablePanel(){
                    TableColumn column1 = new TableColumn(labelVal[0]);
                    TableColumn column2 = new TableColumn(labelVal[1]);
                    TableColumn column3 = new TableColumn(labelVal[2]);
                    TableColumn column4 = new TableColumn(labelVal[3]);
                    TableColumn column5 = new TableColumn(labelVal[4]);
                    tv.getColumns().addAll(column1, column2, column3, column4,column5);
                    vbox.getChildren().add(tv);
                    tv.setPrefHeight(2000);
                public Pane getVB(){
                    return vbox;
                public void rotate(double r){
                    vbox.setRotate(r);
        }

    It will be on an Colibri Tegra ARM board running linux. The application will have a header and footer, with the rotated content taking up the center of a BorderPane, so it might be possible to flip the stage size and somehow then rotate the content in the BorderPane. However, I have not yet found a suitable method to handle the rotating part of the problem. Any ideas?

    I agree. In my opinion Sun has done a horrible job documenting all this madness for the average developer just starting out with this stuff. There is the CLDC, J2ME, Personal Java, J2ME-WTK, MIDP, MIDP-FCS ... maddness. Anyway after sorting through it all for a few days, I think the answer to your question you will need to use Personal Java for WinCE and the Sharp Zaurus, and MIDP for PalmOS for the palm. Jeode seems to be the most common and best Personal Java implementation and it is basically the JDK1.2.2 (or is it 1.1.8) that is designed to run on WinCE and Embeddix (such as Lineo on the Zaurus). You program it just like you would a 1.1.8 application and then you can test it by running pjava.exe which is included in the personal java 3.1 download from Sun. There is also a program called JavaCheck that will ensure that your app will run properly in PersonalJava. As for the Palm, MIDP for PalmOS is a 574K program that installs on your palm device. You then use the J2ME-WTK (wireless toolkit) to build a JAR/JAD file and you use the MIDP API to write the code.

  • GR with handheld device.

    We want to setup handheld device for SAP WM. I know that there are some trnsaction starting with LM**
    But I did not find any trnsaction to do goods receipt against purchase order that will create Material document & take me to next screen for TO creation & confirmation.
    Can I please know if such transaction avaialble or I need to create new screen & then build the logic

    As mentioned by others there is no RF transaction for "Goods receipt by PO" mostly we receive the goods against the inbound delivery or against any other reference document number please explore the T-Code LM71 or LM74 might be useful for you
    LM71
    Goods Receipt by Delivery Identify an inbound delivery to be processed by the delivery number
    LM74
    Goods Receipt by Others Identify an inbound delivery to be processed by the material, vendor, delivery date, reference document number, or service agent

    First I have separated your request/inquiry because it was added to a message that was over 2 years old.  Seems you went to a "shop", and got blocked from assessing needed files.   You did not state the error message. Was it permissions?   Can you right click on the excel file, change the "Share with" ?

  • Picking and Packing through handheld devices in B1

    HI
    The distribution client has already Handheld devices which he wants to integrate to B1. normally in B1 picking list is created and than goes to packing list and than its ready for the dispatch.
    He wants to use those handheld devices when picking those items it reflects in the system that certain items against that picking list have been captured and now can be packed.
    what are technical information is required for this and where wqe can do it.
    kindly reply.

    Sohail,
    There are a few things to consider as your client ventures into this integration project.
    All handheld devices in some way are linked to a base system. First investiagte how the handheld is being currently used.  The data from the handheld should be getting transferred to some base system / base station.  This is the point from where you should plan your integration with SAP B1.
    In SAP, you will need to use the Pick and Pack process in order for this to work right.
    The Pick and Pack process stores information on Orders Released to pick on a table which the information from the handheld cam be used to update as to What has been picked.
    Then the regular process of copying the Picked items to Delivery and Delivey to AR Invoice will happen in SAP B1.

  • CRM installtion on handheld devices

    Hi All,
    I am working on CRM sales for mobiles and very new to it.Can anybody tell me about the prerequisites for the CRM installation on handheld devices. Do I need any front end components specifically for CRM? If it is so where I can get them?

    Hi Saptak,
    Perhaps you can try the following path to reach the MSA HH download:
    http://service.sap.com/download In the navigation tree on the left, select Download--> Installations and Upgrades --> Entry by Application Group. The select "SAP Solutions for Mobile Business" link and click "SAP MSA for HH with CRM" for the MSA HH download page.
    If you are unable to see the information on this page, you should contact your SAP Account Executive for details on how you can obtain access to this download.
    There is no demo/trial version of MSA HH available for download, in case you were wondering.

  • ITS services for WM handheld devices showing small sizes

    Hi Team,
    We have upgraded SAP ECC 6.0 from EHP 3 to EHP 6 and now the screens of RF device is showing very small size.
    We are using ITS services; anyone faced the same issue for this kind of upgrade?
    Please advice on this.
    Thanks,

    Which resolution is the device having?
    Which resolution is user having assigned in LRFMD?
    Can you post some images as examples of the problem?
    Possible solutions:
    You can check .css file used in your ITS and modify according to your needs.
    Or try to make changes in your mobile device to match the resolution.
    If those solutions don't work, would require more info to locate the problem.
