Need to replace Provide and endprovide
Hi Experts, Am facing problem with the provide and endprovide stmt. This is due to the constraint that the ranges within a table are in ascending order and not overlapping.
For ex: provide * from lt_gnm
from lt_1005_gnmk
from lt_hrp1001
between i_begda and i_endda.
Could you please suggest me a logic that can overcome the constraint that the provide and endprovide stmt is having? I can only think of loop and endloop. If it is, could you please code the above provide logic in loop and endloop?

REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF ',' IN <your text > WITH cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab.
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF ';' IN <your text > WITH cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab.

REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF ',' IN <your text > WITH space(5).

For PROVIDE-ENDPROVIDE :
1) You can fetch individual fields of the infotypes.
2) You can also use the JOIN and PROJECTION of infotypes. Based on the criteria, datas can be fetched from two or more infotypes.
3) It is similar to the SELECT STATEMENT of normal ABAP.
4) You can do processing within the Block of PROVIDE - ENDPROVIDE
For RP_PROVIDE_FROM_LAST:
1) You fetch only the recent record of the Infotype.
2) This is a MACRO delivered by SAP and not a statement. You can also create something similar to this.

There are different ways of fetching data from these infotypes.
There are different areas in HR LIKE Personal Admn, Orgn Management, Benefits, Time amangement, Event Management, Payroll etc
Infotypes for these areas are different from one another area.
storing of records data in each type of area is different
LDBS like PNP are used in HR programing.
Instead of Select.. we use some ROUTINES and PROVIDE..ENDPROVIDE.. etc
and in the case of Pay roll we use Clusters and we Import and Export them for data fetching.
On the whole Normal ABAP is different from HR abap.
For Personal Admn the Infotypes start with PA0000 to PA1999
Time Related Infotypes start with PA2000 to PA2999.

In payroll processing we use Clusters like PCL1,2,3 and 4.

Need to replace my iPad 32GB 3G+WiFi
Hi..
I bought an iPad a month back from a mall in India.
It was working fine until Friday and suddenly it started showing , " NO SIM CARD INSTALLED" .
It has got more problems like, iCal crashing immediately when you open and slow response to gestures, etc.
So, it looks like I have came across a faulty piece.
So, I need to replace this and get a completely new one from Apple.
I have lost my bill, but I remember the store.
So, can I just goto the store and give them my serial number and ask them to process my replacement ?
Is that replacement immediate or does it take time ?
Actually, I had to fly 3000kms to get it and I won't be able to stay for more than few hours in that city, when I go for the replacement.
So, can I get an immediate replacement ?

You could contact the store where you bought your iPad to see if they will replace it for you. If so, have them reserve the iPad and setup a specific time when the replacement will be available.

Ipod touch 4th gen needed a new screen and sleep/wake switch. So, I replace them. I was able to get to settings and do "erase all content and settings". I am not able to totally shut this device off as it keeps restarting after a few seconds. I have used itunes to restore and also recover. Device will actually shut off and stay shut off if I leave it connected to the computer. The moment I unplug (3 seconds) the apple logo appears, it boots, unlock screen appears, I can unlock and operate normally, unplugged or not. Just cant get it to completely shut down unplugged. Any thoughts?

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem. Maybe you installed a bad component or damaged something during the repair/replacement.
Apple will not help since you worked on the iPod yourself. -

So basically it sounds like you bought an abused used iPhone and somehow that makes the phone subpar because dispite the abuse it should still last forever and look like new? Batteries don't last forever, even under ideal conditions, so your expectatoins are unrealistic. Take it in and have an estimate done. -

The original LCD which was used in Z830 was an 13.3"(HD) 1366 x 768 TFT Color LCD.
So if you want to use other display, then you should pay attention to the screen size and the connectors.

If you received you phone as part of the contract then surely from a legal pov your contract is with 3 not Apple unless you bought Applecare, if you bought your phone outright then put your 3 SIM into it then yes you'd have to visit an Apple store with your phone's purchase receipt.

My laptop y510p has an issue for the third time and i need a replacement
my y510p laptop got an issue for three times and i need a replacement
i bought it in april/2014 and more than 2 and half months wasted for maintenance.
first time:
after few weeks i got problem with screen colors and i sent the laptop and the problem was in the motherboard and they replaced it.
second time:
i got it from maintenance center with 2 issues:
1- camera wasn't working
2- suddenlly freeze from time to time , sometime a blue screen appear after , i need to turnoff laptop from the power button to work again and it takes so long to open after that.
i sent the laptop again.
note: maintenance center claims that there wasn't any issue and even the camera that they told me that they fixed it they didn't wirte it in report. that's what i figured out when i talked with lenovo customer services
third time:
suddenly freeze from time to time again when i tried to enter bios immediatly after freeze happen i found that
harddisk wasn't appearing.
so i sent it again and i asked for replacement
maintenance replied that it's a motherboard and hardisk issues.
stayed there for 45 days and i called them for like 7 times to know what is the reply on my request and every time they ask me to wait more.
today i called them and they told me that the request of replacement is refused ...!

Mod comment: Removed Serial number for posters security.It´s crazy how many people have the same kind of problems with this computer.. and what´s even worse is that it seems that the only option is to send it to Lenovo for a motherboard replacement. I have the same problem (mainboard dead) but unluckily for me, my y510p is out of warranty (I only used it for like 4-5 months then it was stored while I was away). Everyday I get on the internet to look for a motherboard replacement myself but I just can´t find any.. Why is that?
Also, this is a "new" computer, if I´m not wrong it was released around the end of 2013. How is it that they already discontinued it? Do they usually discontinue their products that fast? Or is it perhaps all these Y510P computers had problems from production? How can someone spend over a thousand dollars, use the computer for a few months (normal use, not even gaming..) and one day is dead and the motherboard needs replacement?? Why nobody really complains about this? I really don´t know what to do as that were all my money. I really just want to get rid of this crap and never ever buy Lenovo again and never ever recommend it to anyone. I don´t even feel secure spending the money on a motherboard replacement because it seems to me that the problem will come back. Because as I said this seems to be a problem in their production of this particular model. Again, over a thousand dollars computer and its quality is worst than the cheapest ones.. shame on Lenovo. -

The problem is that when the machine is closed, it goes to sleep, and in sleep mode, all that goes on is that a bare trickle of power is used to keep the contents of RAM alive. Networking is definitely not active while asleep.
Now, regarding ds store's solution, that's a fairly bad idea. If the machine is just sitting at your desk, you don't need to close it, or if you feel a need to close it you can use Kappy's solution. (Although, it should be noted that apps like InsomniaX and Caffeine do not, as far as I know, keep a machine awake when the lid is shut.) If you're worried about passersby seeing your screen, just activate the screen saver instead. You could even require a password to dismiss the screen saver for added security.
On the other hand, if the machine is being transported, keeping the lid open and the machine running is not a good idea. The sudden motion sensor ought to protect your hard drive against damage caused by moving the machine around... if it's working properly, and I'd rather not depend on an "if" to prevent hardware damage to the machine. Plus, if it's in a bag and you've forced it to stay running, it could overheat due to lack of ventillation.
So, long story short: if you're transporting it, close it and deal with logging back in to the network, and if it's on your desk, don't bother closing it. -
