Need to replicate a shape many times in different places on a map...which effect should I be using?
For a documentary-film on the Holocaust, I'm making an animated map showing the location of Einsatzgruppen massacres.
I'm using this USHMM (source: U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum) map for reference:
As you can see from the reference map, there have to be at least 60 or 70 locations. Is there any shortcut method to doing this that might not involve having to create about 60 to 70 layers to display the 60-70 x's.

Speaking of Illustrator Rick,
I just created 175 dots on the map to represent each of the killing fields. Is it possible in Illustrator to change all 175 dots to any other shape without having to change each one again manually. Let's say for example that I wanted to replace the 175 dots on the map with 175 squares or triangles, can this be done in one step in Ilustrator???

What’s relevant is the space on the disk/s you have assigned as Scratch Disks – what are they (Phortoshop > Preferences > Performance > Scratch Disks)?

How many times can you forward an e-mail which has been forwarded to you?
Many times, I receive an e-mail forwarded by a friend whose other friend forwarded him the same e-mail. Soon, the forwarded e-mail is very long since it has been forwarded so many times. Is there a limit to how many times an e-mail can be forwarded? Also,what can I do so that the only address I see is that of my friend instead of the address of anyone and everyone who either received or forwarded the original message? Thank you.
First, there is no limit. Second, avoid the problem by having everyone you know remove your name from their lists. Third, direct all such forwarded mail into the trash directly by creating a Mail rule. Ask all your "friends" to configure their email program to not include the text of the forwarded email in the body of the forwarded message (and if they send all this stuff to you from an email list, are you really their friend?)
If you cannot resist, then simply remove all the repetitive included forwards from the message before you send it to some other poor soul. -
How many times can I use Migration Assistant?

I am planning on buying an Intel i7 iMac in the near future, and I want to take some of the files from my old Core Duo computer and move them to the i7 iMac. I'm not throwing out the Core Duo iMac, I just want some of the files on the new i7, but I don't want to clutter it up with files I don't need to move. How many times am I allowed to run Migration Assistant? Suppose one day I just want to bring over my iTunes 7 library, and my email accounts but I don't need anything else on the first day. Is it ok to just migrate those couple of things in one session and migrate other things in another session? It seems like that's how it will work but I don't know for sure.

This was posted from my Core Duo running OS X 10.4.11. I want to use the i7 as my main computer but still use this one (Core Duo) in another room on my WiFi network. The i7 will be taking all new emails.Ajduguid,
That's what I did on all my other Macs as I got them. I just decided to upgrade the memory in my old slow core duo iMac to 2 Gigs and I bought the box set. So far I installed 10.6. It works but just as slowly as before, which I think is it's normal speed. But now I have the option of turning Rosetta on and off.
Now I can wait for Lion and the second generation i7 iMac to be released and be up to date on my Core Duo iMac. I'll be back when I get to migrating to a new iMac, or maybe before.

How many times can I download from Adobe Creative Cloud, and on how many computers
I just purchased a one month plan from Adobe Creative Cloud and already downloaded several programs. Unrelated to Adobe, I reinstalled the operating system on my computer today. I just downloaded the programs again. Is there a limit on how many times I can download Adobe software? I also am planning on purchasing another computer down the road. How many computers can I download Adobe software from my current Adobe Creative Cloud membership.

You can only activate the software on a maximum of two computers at any one time.
You can deactivate on a computer via Help > Deactivate and re-activate via the same step. -
I have iphone5s and there is some problem about my iphone. I turn off the phone and then I turn on. After I turned on, It showed the page of apple signal and then the page of loading. It used long time to show the loading page. Then it was back to page of apple and then loading page again many times. What happen with it? And what should I do?
Did you already try to reset the phone again by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?

all of a sudden my itunes wont come up when i hit the desktop icon. un and re installed many times, tried new users, it finally gave me "you need to reinstall sqmapi.dll " im a noob and i have know idea what that is or where i can get it. i cant open any file or library that has anything to do with itunes except safari and quicktime are fine. im about to pull out whats left of my hair.

In your Start menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
Expand "Services & Applications".
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the screen to better see what's going on.)
Right-click the Bonjour Service and select "Properties".
In the General tab, set the Startup type to "Disabled":
... and click OK.
Restart the PC and try launching iTunes. Does it open this time? -
I've have done all of the tips Apple has suggested and have tried many times to restore it but it still won't work. IThe first time it went through the whole process and it seemed like it worked but it still showed the Screen that has a iPod power cord that has an arrow pointing to the iTunes thumbnail. And now i thought well maybe it is restored i just need to sync it to Itunes but no my computer said that i encountered a problem my iPod and that i need to restore it so I tried. And at the end of the first step, the Verifying Software step, it said that the device "iPod" could not be found, so Itried it again and again but it still came up with the same results so I'm screwed so if you can could you please help me i really need after a disabled iPod for about 2 to 3 months now. So if you could please help i would appreciate it alot. THANK YOU.
- Reboot the computer, try another USB port and try anohter cable.
- Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, cracked or broken plastic.
- Try placing the iPod in DFU mode and then restore.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ... -

For all reports and transactions execution info is stored in table MONI.
Read the System log using the Transaction SM21. may be you can find some info here.
U can use trx STAT, here the system stores the statistic only for a certain period (lst week, last month,...).
Also try stad transaction.

Hello, I would like to know if any one could tell me how to fix my daughters ipod touch or if I need to take it into an apple store. One of the kids on her school bus stole it out of her backpack. My daughter got it back today at school but went to turn it on and the kid that stole it I guess tried to many times to get into so now when you turn it on it says "DISABLED". Wipe it clean and restore it. You should then be able to rename the iPod and set up an account with iTunes. I hope this helps!

If your computer is looking for a server, it sounds like you might have a problem with your Internet connection.
Chrome is probably trying to warn because .exe files can contain viruses. Chances are, if you're connected to mozilla.com and have https: (a secure connection), you don't have to worry about getting software with viruses or other malware.
Is your account on your computer an administrator account? Are you able to install other programs without limitation? If not, you might not have administrative privileges, which will make it hard to install things. You can download things, that doesn't require admin privileges, but altering the computer's operation by changing programs requires such privileges. If you do have admin privileges, I don't know what could be causing your problem.
