Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that you need to reset the Admin password to your HP Officejet 4630 printer. I am happy to look into this for you! I would recommend to restore the network settings to the default settings: Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status
menu.Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless
Settings menu.Select Restore Defaults.Confirm the selection to restore defaults. You should then be able to login in with username: admin and the password is left blank. For future reference, here, is your printer's user guide. Hope this information is helpful, and thank you for posting!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

I need to reset my Admin. password on iMac can not find disk updated to OSX 10.9.3

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. In the window that opens, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens. Close the Terminal window to get it out of the way.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.
*Note: If you've activated FileVault, this procedure doesn't apply. Follow instead these instructions.

  • Love air playit. Need 2 reset admin password on iMac

Had this running  for some time.
iMac to iPad. No other HW.
    Suddenly admin pw is wrong.
    Tried their support (non existent)
Tried figuring out thru keychain... ... No good.
    Tried reinstalling...  Ditto.
    Obv. Am missing something.
Help pls or pointer to resource.    Many thanks.

Still no response on changing (or determining) the Admin PIN/pw for air playit server...
Workaround: you can SEE the PINs for  'kids' & 'public' so I was able to set the "allow" flags for 'kids' & 'public'  THEN on iPad delete the Server found/created via Bonjour, Spec another by static LAN IP, Put the 'kids' & 'public' PIN in an turn 'allow anon' ON IN THE IPAD CLIENT  & voila!  It starts to work again.
I Still have no idea  what the Admin PIN/pw for air playit server IS but at least it serves again....
    SCREWY.
[MOD: you may want to move/copy this thread to the other forum again - as mentioned aboved a search failed to find just where you put it...   My apologies.
Other people MUST run into this problem sometime/eventually and, after all the trouble I had looking for and failing to find an answer (in the "Mac Ethernet shares Net access with iPad via 'Internet sharing' w/o. Any other airport/wireless hardware such as. An airport Hub (which was the answer I got pointed to (for which: thanks for responding even if it didn't help with my specific problem)...
At least I have  this Apps great abilities back again. Airlessly... Err.  Wirelessly. There was zero help on the developer site... The Forum was full of hongKongese spammers flogging threads, shoes, fake rolexes etc.. Support blissfully. Unresponsive - the Air Playit sections practically had desert winds and Tumbleweed rolling thru the site k... No idea what's going on with that company but Little whispers suggest that it probably won't be long b4. Apple drops  the hammer on them for non compliance/no support and drops the App from the Store..
(don't Apple offer/own the Competing AirPlay App set at $2 or $3 together with a Helium filled almost unusable free 'Lite' Demo version?).
Some developers are hard to understand: it appears to be a popular, powerful App and they seem to be just letting it wither on the. Vine...
(Maybe they're out of money/need some help......)
    Ah well,
    Best to All.
PS: oddity - if you http to <SERVER-IP:32768>. I.e. if you browse to port 32768 on the server machine you could actually SEE all the vol/folders/ Files you'd told it to Serve neatly listed  together with something like Play/stream/Convert/view options which was what was Supposed to happen (of course, if you actually CHOSE one of these, it went off into Peter Pan land, which obviously *wasn't*. .. But this was back when I couldn't get the client to connect and didn't have the right ADMIN PIN thing worked around and I haven't tried it since.. And will have to... But then it never ASKED for one. Before showing the page, either, - also strange).

Resetting User Password in Lion, Mountain Lion & Mavericks
Boot into your Recovery Partition by holding down the Command and R keys whilst booting.
When the Recovery screen appears, go to the Utilities menu and open Terminal.
    In Terminal, type:
    resetpassword
...a small app will open and allow you to choose the user for whom you want to change the password. If you are the admin, be certain that you choose your admin user. Type in your new password twice and give yourself a good hint. Click OK (or Done or whatever) and reboot, enjoying the use of your new, hopefully memorable, password.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • How to reset admin password iMac

I changed my IMac admin password and have now forgotten in and can't find my originàl discs to reset it. I understand you can reset it using apple ID but I can't work it out.  Can someone help me

OS X Lion- Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
If you are unable to boot from an installer DVD:
(these will only work on Leopard or earlier)
      1. Boot to Safe Mode by restarting and after the chime press and hold down
the COMMAND-S keys until a black screen with white type appears.
      2. At the prompt, type the following commands pressing return after each
          command line:
         /sbin/fsck -yf
If you do not receive a "Filesystem OK" message then repeat this command
until you do.  If after seven tries you still do not receive a "Filesystem OK"
message, then the system is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled.
         mount -uw /
         cd /private/var/db/netinfo
         mv local.nidb local.old
         rm ../.AppleSetupDone
         shutdown -r now
The second-to-last command above will cause OS X to think that the operating system is newly installed, and when the new owner starts up the computer it will send him/her to the startup wizard where he/she can start a new user without reinstalling.
This last method does not actually change a password. It simply removes the user accounts and lets you create an initial admin account as if the computer were new out of the box.
Reset Admin Password Using The Terminal
You can reset the password by printing out (or writing down) and carefully following these steps.
First, find the short name of the admin user on the machine. The easiest way of doing this is by looking at what the directory is called in the Users folder.
Now, start in Single-user Mode. It should boot into a command line.
Enter these exact lines. Press RETURN after each.
    mount -uw /
    ifconfig lo0 up
    cd /var/db/netinfo
    netinfod -s local
Now you'll need that short name. Enter "passwd", a space, and the short name of the admin. For example, if the admin was rather prosaically called "imadmin", you would enter "passwd imadmin".
The computer will now prompt you to change the password for "lmadmin" (or whatever the short name was). Go ahead and enter a new password.
    Now, enter:
    sync
    reboot
and the machine will reboot. The admin password should now be changed.

I have a problem. My Apple ID is not my iCloud email, my msn is my Apple ID, but I need to reset the password for my icloud email address because I can't remember what it is. How can do I reset my iCloud emaill password when it's not my Apple ID??

Your iCloud and @icloud.com login ID is an Apple ID. Go to http://appleid.apple.com and sign in with the ID you use to sign into iCloud (you can check this by going to http://www.icloud.com and signing in there).
Click 'Password & Security' in the sidebar and you will be able to change the password.
    HOWEVER
Before you do this you must turn off 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' if you have it enabled on any of your devices, otherwise you will land yourself in difficulties.

  • Reset admin password - SJSWS 7u8

    Hi,
I've read through the documentation and a few of the other posts about resetting the admin password in SJSWS. Plainly, it doesn't work
    [root@server bin]# ./wadm reset-admin-password --user admin --host localhost --port 8989
    Please enter admin-password>
    Please enter admin-password again>
CLI103 Command 'reset-admin-password' failed. :: netscape.ldap.LDAPRebindI've not been able to find any matches to the 'netscape.ldap.LDAPRebind' error, and don't know why it's talking about ldap in the first place (as SJSWS isn't attached to any LDAP).
The local machine (RHEL5.5, Linux x86_64, amd64 SJSWS install) does use LDAP for authentication, but it shouldn't be trying to touch that.
I can't find any further log entries for the failed password change either.
This is the administration console, with one other node hanging off of it.
    [root@server bin]# . ../lib/wsenv ; $WS_JAVA/bin/java -version
    java version "1.6.0_19"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_19-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 16.2-b04, mixed mode)Any ideas would be welcome ;)

    Unfortunately you've run into a known problem - 6914493.
Edit $(INSTALL_ROOT)/bin/wadm and add ${classpath_prefix}/ldapjdk.jar to the classpath variable and try re-running the command.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

My Apple ID showed security problem that needs to reset my password. But I forget my resue email and scecurity questions' answers. So what can I do?

If you are on Lion or newer, follow directions here:
Reset the user password in OS X Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks
Reset 10.5 Leopard & 10.6 Snow Leopard password
      1. Power on or restart your Mac.
      2. At the chime (or grey screen if your chime is turned off), hold down Command+S on your keyboard to enter single-user mode.
      3. This step is optional, but it’s a good idea because it checks the consistency of the hard disk before moving on. At the prompt, type fsck -fy and press Enter/Return. Wait for the checks to complete before going to the next step.
      4. Type mount -uw / and press Enter.
      5. Type launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.DirectoryServices.plistand press Enter.
      6. Type ls /Users and press Enter. This lists all of the usernames on the computer – helpful if you don’t know or remember what these are.
      7. Type dscl . -passwd /Users/username password and replace “username” with one of the users displayed in the previous step. Replace “password” with a new password of your choice. Press Enter.
      8. Type reboot and press Enter.
