Need to reset ipad but don't have original owners apple id just password
I manage a pawn shop and we reset apple ipad to factory settings now it say's owner has used find my phone to link their id. I do not have the owners apple id but I do have password and have no way to get ahold of owner what can I do
In future you must verify that 'Find My iPhone' is switched off, that is the key to all the security. If it is on you will not be able to get around it unless (a) you have the seller demonstrate that it is off by showing you that it has been disabled or (b) have the seller go to his account on the iCloud website, then go to Find My Phone (on the site) and remove the item from his account. In your case I would guess that the first method would be preferable.
The one you have can be sold for parts value, but that's about it, sorry to bear the news.
PS: You are not the first Pawn Shop operator to post here with this problem. I don't know your business but if there is some kind of trade publication this may be a good item for it (and it is already spreading to other manufacturers devices), Galaxy G5's have a similar system, the EU will require it by law. Connect to your computer and back up your iPad before restoring.
I like to achieve a full backup in the following order:
1. Open iTunes
2. Transfer Purchases - File>Devices>Transfer Purchases - Let this process finish
3. Backup - File>Devices>Back Up - Let this process finish
Now you have a full backup! If your iPad needs to be completely restored due to a complex technical support issue, then you'll likely want to try to Restore from Backup first and see if the issue is resolved. That will in all likelihood restore the same issue back to the iPad, but it is the most hassle free way of restoring and in some cases it will resolve your issues. If you are still having your issue after restoring from the backup you just created, you will need to restore again and Set Up as a New iPad. This will require you to set everything up as if it were new out of the box. Email, addresses, iCloud settings, etc. You will lose some data. Any saved game data, iMessages, etc.

Need to reinstall windows but don't have any CD - Satellite Pro L20
Hi, I wanted to reinstall Windows XP home onto my Satellite Pro L20, but don't have any of the software my laptop came with (read lost the disks). I have a valid XP home key (as its stuck on the bottom of my laptop) but no disc so I tired using a copy of a Windows XP home cd, which didn't work, but did let me get as far as formatting the hard drive.
So right now I'm using Ubuntu, but want to reinstall Windows. Have valid product key but no software to reinstall.
Any suggestions?

So back to your situation:
For clean OS installation you have *_two_* options only:
- if possible order new copy by Toshiba authorized service provider in your country *do you have more questions about that?*
- you can install operating system using Microsoft installations CD *if you don't have it, it is your problem*

Need Boot Camp drivers, but don't have the restore discs for 17" iMac
Where can I get drivers for my 1.83ghz iMac if I don't have the discs? I don't only need drivers but software so that I can boot BACK into OS X when I want because my keyboard does not respond until the OS boots so I can't use the Option key at startup.

you signature states "OSX 10.6" so I assume that you have a 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD somewhere.
Use that disc which incorporates the BootCamp 3.0 Drivers.
After that you can download the 3.1 update and apply it while in Windows.
The 1.83GHz iMac you have came out in 2006 with OSX 10.4 Tiger.
The Tiger restore disc that came with your iMac didn't had any BootCamp Drivers on it.
BootCamp was then released as a seperate download as long as it was in Beta state.

Palm the device manufacture and there sister company access never wrote a 64bit windows driver. All desktop versions have the 32bit driver in them. Aceeca a little over a month ago came out with a 64bit windows driver and offered it to the palm community. I am using it on a windows 7 64bit computer. If you have a 64bit version of windows XP, Vista, or 7 than you need this driver so you can cable hotsync with your computer. The driver does not come in an executable file so you need to do a manual install. The driver and directions on how to install are in the pose (64bit drivers are here). Aceeca 64bit driver
You can use the 6.2 desktop if you want but if you want the version that came on the TX to use along with this driver here is a link. It will say 700p on it but both the 700p and the TX have the same operating system. TX palm desktop
This will not have the extra software on it like documents to go and eReader. If you are interested in eReader just google it there pro version became free a while ago. -

Trying to install update 8.1.3, my iPad says I need 1.5 gb but I actually have 17.1 gb. Why will it not let me install?
It's probably telling you that you need 1.5 more GB than you have available. Hook up your device to iTunes on the computer you sync with and do the update from there. OTA updates require a lot more memory than ones done via iTunes.

If a second-hand iOS device has been 'Activation locked' then only the previous owner can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
If you are unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all. Apple cannot unlock it for you.
You should if possible return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund as in this event the device is completely useless.
When posting here you may have to wait some time for an answer: the people who post here are users just like you and they post when they can. I happened to see your post quite quickly but that's pure chance - it might take some hours to get an answer.
