Need to reset prefences settings after recharging the battery
Hello,
For some reason, everytime I recharge the battery after it is completely drained, I have to reset the language, date, time, etc on my Ipod.
It dosent ever happen when I charge the battery after being only partially drained, only when it's is totally drained and recharged...
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi groundflight5150,
I'm attaching a link below to the user manual for the 8150B series of controllers. I don't believe that the BIOS is password protected by default, so you may want to contact the person you purchased this from to find out what the password is. However, there is information in the manual regarding how to clear out the CMOS contents, so this might help.

Reset carrier settings after changing the carrier

I want to reset the old carrier settings under "settings -> general -> about" and remove a carrier button which was added by my old carrier under "settings -> phone". Is this possible?

SebastianYou should be able to make the iPhone download the new carrier settings by tapping Settings > General > About, if it's a partner carrier.

Note: If you insert a new SIM or micro-SIM card into your iPhone or iPad, you'll need to download the carrier settings for the new carrier wirelessly. Carrier settings are available only for iPhone support carriers and iPad partner carriers. If you're not using a partner carrier, you will need to set up the carrier's settings manually. Refer to your carrier for appropriate settings.
Edit: What carrier are you trying to switch to? It sounds like you'll have to update the settings manually. -
After I updated my iphone 4 to ios 6.1.3 I can no longer connect to my bluetooth, plantronics model M25. I tried reset all settings after turning on and off also submitted diagnostic. Do I have to buy yet another bluetooth set?

Unfortunately on these days I'm in a country that Apple don't have any retail store here and for sake of time I prefer to fix it myself to DHL it to the nearest country to use its warranty. Eversince I updated my iphone 4 to IOS 5.0.1, sometimes I get a 'No Service' or 'Searching' signal where my network signal should be upon which I have switch the phone off then on then 'Reset all Settings' to get the phone normal again.Is there a solution to this?
I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again. -
Do I need iTunes to recharge the battery of my iPod?
I will be taking a 12 hrs flight on Friday and would like to watch iPod during the flight. However, I need to recharge my battery after 2 hours or do something else. I do have my company laptop (w/ USB port) with me but the laptop does not have iTunes (thks to company policy).

some laptops have low power usb ports, so it is worth checking before you travel to see how good a job of charging the laptop can do
you can get external battery packs to go with the ipod, but this can be a pricey way of using it

What does "conged" mean?
If the iPod does not respond or turn on:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My daughter's ipod nano shows up in "devices" when I plug it in...but it disappears. Right away it says it needs to update, but then after extracting the files it comes back and says that it can't be updated because it can't be unmounted. help?!
When in DFU mode and connected to the computer iTunes does not say anything but iTunes will see the iPod and you can restore the iPod via iTunes. When in recovery mode and you connect, iTunes will say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

you should probably also try another cable and charger if you have one and if that doesn't work call apple. -
ipad2 shut off after down the battery but when i connect the charger with my ipad2, its not storing the power in the battery and i also not finding the error code ???
If you drained the battery, it may take a bit for it to come back. I'd plug it in and leave it for a few hours and see if it's charging.
If not, you can try to do a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the white apple, let go and let it reset and see if it charges.
It's also possible that your battery has reached the end of its life. THey can only handle a finite amount of recharge cycles. If you can't get it to hold a charge, then make an appointment at your local apple store and explore your other options. -

Did you already try another USB cable or USB port?
Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?
