Need to restrict storage locations

Hi Experts,
I need to restrict the four storage locations to all my end users exceprt one user id in production server.
Please let me knoe how can i restrict these storage locations to all user ids.

Production server ECC6.0.
As per our MM consultant requirement I have to restrict the storage location 1025 to the one new user id.
For this I Have created a role for the T-codes mb1a and mb1b (as per MM Consultant requirement), and assigned this role to new user id. But this role not maintaining the authorization object M_MSEG_LGO to restrict the storage location(1025).
After that I have manually added the authorization object M_MSEG_LGO in this role and added the required storage locations and removed/restricted the 1025 storage location.But using this t-codes the user is able to post the material to this storage location 1025.
At the same time there is no other roles/profiles are assigned to this user id.
So , Please let me know how can i restrict this storage location to this user id.

Restrict Storage location

Dear All,
We are experiancing an issue that there is t code co11, production order confirmation in that there is feild storage location feild, which comes from BOM, there are certain users who change the storage location, at this time, if we restrict storage location, for that user, then it will also give the not authorized for the location, even if it is not changed and coming from BOM, We want to restric this " Change Practice" in co11, can we disable the feild for certain users or restric certain users to do this pratice, Please guide me.

I think that my message is not conveyed properly, there are feilds BWART and LGORT which used to restrict storage location and movemnt type generally what we do is restrict movement type and storage location seperately, can we do this?
Scenario:
some location is restricted with certain movement and allowed in certain movement, I mean to say combined restriction and permission. Can this be acheived by Authorization control?

Need to exclude storage location from MRP.

Hi Gurus,
Is there an option to exclude a specified storage location from MRP at configuration level. But not at material level as in MRP4 view.
We have excluded the stoarge location in config OMIR, however the system considers that stock if the same is not excluded in MRP4 of that material.
Now, the problem is every time i need to go to the material master of every material i have to excude from MRP, which is very time consuming..!
Please advise me is there any option in point of view of Storage Location, just simply define the storage location to be excluded from MRP run.

Yes you can do it though OMIR or MMSC 1-Storage location stock excluded from MRP.

Restricting storage location through user exit.

My Scenario is " while doing goods movement in confirmation screen (cor6), the header material is assigned to 3 storage location , Now is there any USER EXIT so that it has to be restricted to 1 storage location ,we dont want authorization control"

Need to Block storage location through physical inventory process

Hello My client want to Block few storage locations not through authorisation objects but using physical inventory process.
can this be achieved through any configuration settings so that when we run physical count the SLoc blocks till the count completes & posted.or Any other method to block Sloc.
Please guide me on this.

You can use check box of "Posting block" in physical inventory document. Posting block indicates that no goods movements involving the materials listed in the physical inventory document can be posted for the duration of a physical inventory count.The indicator is set for the affected stocks in each case for all associated stock types and is not cancelled until the count results are posted.The blocking indicator can be set in one of two ways:
A.Directly upon entry of the physical inventory document (if the count is to take place immediately)
B.Shortly before the count (if the count is to take place later)

Hi Balaji,
In standard Storage location cannot be defaulted in Sales order. OVL3 is for determining the storage location in Delivery.
However to map your requirement of having Storage location determination in the Sales order do the following:
In the Plant Setting IMG> Enterprise Structure> Definition> Logistics - General> Define, copy, delete, check plant. Here select your plant and go to Address for this plant. Here in Search term 2 Maintain some alphabet say "A". Now ask your ABAPer to write a user exit for determining the Storage location if the Sales order has the same Plant used in it with search term as "A" then use table V_TVKOL (storage location determination table) and fetch the correct storage location based on Shipping Point + Plant + Storage conditions.

Stock valuation down to Storage location level

Dear all,
System setup for stock valuation is till Plant level. And understand that's how data stored in table MBEW and MBEWH until plant level only.
Eventhough that is system standrd, is that possible to get the stock valuation until Storage location level?
For eg: In MB5B, there is opening stock, closing stock and the material movement posting. I need to get opening and closing stock for each storage location.
Could you please comment if there are tables store these data? Kindly comment.

Thanks for your reply. Understand from the previous post that stock valuation for storage location can be done via table MARDH or report MC.9, but this tools are excess base on period/month basis.
My case, i need to report storage location stock for both (1)last month 06.2010 and (2)yesterday's stock 06.07.2010. So i can use MARDH table to report (1)last month stock for each storage location. While for (2) yesterday stock, table MARDH isn't help.
Could you please advice further?

MIGO Goods receipt to Direct Sales PO . Error M7018. Enter Storage Location

Hi Gurus.
I want to post Goods Receipt from Direct Sales Purcharse Order.
In this document type isn't needed a Storage location , but MIGO displays Error M7018 ( Enter Stor. Location ).
This error only happens in one of our company codes. I think is a customazing error company dependent.

If your PO document type doesn't need the storage location, then it doesn't mean that the storage location doesn't need at the time of goods receipt..
As this is your stock-able material, so you have to enter a storage location. So that the material can kept the stock into a storage location.
If you use any Account assignment category in PO, then your material will not be kept in stock. In that time you don't need to enter storage location at the time of Goods Receipt.
At the time of Goods receipt, field selection settings for PO document will not mater.
Its just depend on your PO - Account assignment category.

Storage Location Address Display.

Dear All,
Good Morning to all of u. Hope u all are doing well.
I have issue that i have a plant in delhi location
1010 Delhi Plant & under 1010 there are diffrent storage location
as given
Plant         Storage Location
1010        FG01
1010        TR01
1010        SP01
1010        TE01.
These storage location has diffrent address accoring to their address in diffrent area. for example
FG01 IN KAROL BAGH
TR01 IN KASMIRI GATE.
Now the issue is that i have to see the storage location address in system. so please help me.how i can display & modify in the system.

Hello,
You need to maintain storage location address first;
Go to Transaction OX09 >>Enter your plant>>Now select the storage location and double click on Addresses of storage location in Dialog structure>> Now Press that Tab New Entries from application Tool Bar.
Now Enter 1 and press the Envelope icon and you can maintain your storagge location address. Now this address will come in delivery address of your purchase order.
Like wise you need to maintain storage location addresses for storage locations FG01, TR01,SP01,TE01 in plant 1010

Yes you can put any belongs to the same plant but if in the config the create storage location automatiocally is configure than you can do that (transction OMB3)

Yes, you can check MMSC OR in detail view
go to transction SE16 or SE16N and enter the table MARD
now enter you mateiral and you can view all the available plant and Sloc
you can write query also using this table

Deleting storage locations feom WM.

Hi experts.
I need remove some storage locations from WM. In SPRO Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Master Data path.
In the DEFINE STORAGE TYPES , I tried deleted a line item I got the message :
Deletion not possible because there is still master data in stor.type XXX XXX
The message checks the LAGP table. There's one rows.
What's do I suppose to do?

The message error check this table, Even deleting some data in customizing WM I cant delete these rows.

Movement type from unrestricted use to particular storage location

Hi ,
I have situation wherein the stock was goods receipted with referendce to a PO into unrestricted stock (without mentioning storage location).
I now want to transfer this stock to a particular storage location.
Please let me know how to do this,

Hi,
How can you receive a material without mentioning the storage location in MIGO (101), it is not possible as per standard system.
Please check the PO, It must be created with account assignment that means it was consumed at the time of GR, that is the reason you do not need to enter storage location at MIGO
So if you need that material in storage location cancel that GR, change that PO receive again in desired Store
