Nvidia problems, need to roll back

I got some error when updating to the latest nvidia version about some failure to get supported display devices so I need to roll back to an older version. The problem however is that the old version use the old kernel and I have the 3.1 version. So I need to make some own package or whatever it is called and I have no idea how to do it. I will need a PKBUILD file to base the package on and I have no idea either where you find a relevant PKBUILD for nvidia either. Can someone please help me?

Downloading the 275 version from AUR solved my problem temporary, but now the kernel have been updated again so I cannot use the 275 version anymore. And the newest version of nvidia does not solve the problem. Here is the xorg log: http://pastebin.com/kkembEBG

So I have to downgrade nvidia, I feel it was to noobish to ask how to do in that topic. And since it seem to depend on the kernel, it does not seem to be a easy way to downgrade.

In order to use Cha Cha's tools I need to roll back to version 3.6.16 or earlier as noted by them: "Please note: the ChaCha Toolbar is currently not compatible with FF 4.0 or 5.0. If you have Firefox version 4 or 5, please revert back to a previous version of Firefox. 3.6.16" Nees help with this as the erliest version that comes up readily is version 3.6.20

If you haven't already used Firefox Sync, you don't have a Sync account.
If all you want to do is use Firefox Sync, you can install the Firefox Sync extension into Firefox 3.6.x versions. <br />

I need to roll back Firefox from V 26

For some reason Firefox upgraded itself to V 26 without my permission and went ahead and disabled my Norton Toolbar. I never upgrade Firefox until I know that Norton Toolbar is supported. Please can anyone advise me which version I need that fully supports Norton Toolbar and how I roll back to it? Thank you

My Norton Toolbar worked yesterday, but it isn't there today and Firefox has updated itself to V 26. When I look at the Add-ons Manager it says:
Norton Toolbar is incompatible with Firefox 26 and it has been disabled. So it's definitely not there nor can I get it back.
I tried about 30 different ID names before I managed to pick one that worked and by then I admit I was fed up. I had no Norton Toolbar through no fault of my own, and I couldn't register to ask a question about why I no longer had it.
I don't mind updating Firefox as long as it supports Norton Toolbar. That's my rule and, after all, it's my PC.
I tried rolling back to Firefox 25 and NT still didn't work. It seems like the Norton Toolbar has been updated too. My NT version is 2014.6.0.27
Mt Firefox version is 26. They aren't compatible.
Given a straight choice I would choose NT every time.

Why doesn't Migration Assistant recognize my backup disk after rolling back to Mountain Lion from Mavericks?

I rolled back my OS from Mavericks to Mountain Lion and now the Migration Assistant isn't finding my Time Machine backups. Any idea why this is?

One reason may be a different computer name. Check System Preferences > Sharing and make sure your computer name has been the same through all your various OS X iterations.

How do you roll BACK to iTunes 11 from 12.

In a nut shell, version 12 of iTunes is a MESS. My Ipod HATES it as I can NOT delete nor add play lists and I've tried everything. 12 is a bug fest.
I had no problems what so ever with version 11 and would LOVE TO roll it back. Anyone do it with success?
If so please help the hundreds of us out in cyber space who would love to roll back too.

If you really want to roll back to 11.4 uninstall all iTunes/Apple components, restore the pre-upgrade version of the library as described in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash, then download and install from one of these direct links:

IPOD 4 has IOS V6, need to roll back to V5.1.1, How do I do it?

I have an IPOD 4 with IOS 6 which is expired. The device says it requires activation. I do not have a developers ID so cannot Activate IOS6. How do I roll back the device to IOS 5.1.1. I cannot seem to find the IOS download on the Apple site.

You have an unauthorized copy of iOS 6. I guess you got in over your head. This forum is only for release iOSs.
There should be not problem after iOS 6 is released to the public in the fall.

I simply do not understand why the compulsion to update into every bright and shiny update against the logic of doing so when mid project.
Mac users have been trained to faddishly update IMHO.

This may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your phone that is preventing the backup. To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

Accidentally opened location on holiday and now need to get back onto UK store from Egypt

On holiday in Egypt I downloaded iOS6 and allowed location service. It switched my store from UK to Egypt. Now I cannot update my apps. How do I get back onto the UK store?

It seems that in a case like this you'd need to reset the device to factory settings and then restore from iCloud backup.
Sadly the reset to factory settings could cause more trouble than its worth.
Apple's iCloud backup, could, but does not let the user restore one app or its data.
You'll also find that even though that App's data is in the cloud, you as its owner do not have access to it.

Roll back from yosemite to mavericks without time machine

I am currently a user of Retina Macbook Pro late 2013, 13", i5 with 2.4 GHz, 8gb, 1600MHz DDR3.
I faced a huge problem after updating my mac from Mavericks 10.9.5 to Yosemite 10.10, this has caused my mac to running slow, but before updating it was so smooth and worked perfectly.
- Yosemite causes my mac to be so laggy when scrolling up and down. Sometimes, it crashes all of a sudden when you are just watching a video using Safari.
- Scrolling through PDF files is so laggy
- Minimizing Apps is not as smooth as before.
My Question :
- How to roll back to mavericks/ downgrade from yosemite to mavericks? provided that i didn't not have a time machine backup. And so far i could not find any installer for mavericks in app store.

No. You need to first erase the drive then install Mavericks. Try backing up your files (Home folder) somewhere. Boot from your Mavericks drive. From it use Disk Utility to erase your Yosemite drive. Clone the Mavericks drive to the drive you just erased. Now restore your data from the backup you made.
Of course if your Mavericks drive also has a current copy of your Home folder from the Yosemite computer, then all you need to do is boot from it, erase the Yosemite drive, clone the Mavericks drive and you're done.

How do I roll back to Snow Leopard 10.6 from os X lion?

Scrolling up/down is opposite of what it used to be, at least in mail.
4 fingers in Leopard would move to previous or next email now 4 or even 3 fingers just changes size of window and shows other windows.
VMWare fusion doesn't work under Lion so I can't get to my Windows apps.
The screen in iSilo doesn't scroll properly.
My slideshow maker "FotoMagico" doesn't work at all.
I really need to get back to 10.6 asap.
