Hi Expert,
Can anybody please help me, is it possible to search any of the document (not depending on the doc status) from KM repository??
If possible how can we proceed??

Hello Kanai,
Yes you need to give the index_service user 'Full Control' on the content you are indexing, you don't need to do it on a file by file basis, just assign it full control permission on the folder that contains all the files, both approved and non-approved files. The permissions will then be inherited to all content within the folder, provided you don't modify again the permissions on the individual resources and break the inheritance. This is the same way you assign resource permissions to any content, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/42/89749d882d1422e10000000a114cbd/frameset.htm.
After you have changed the permissions you then need to index it in order to be able to search for it. So you either:
1. Create a new index if you don't have one already
2. Reindex your existing index so that the permissions changes you made regarding the index_service user are picked up and the 'In Process' files are indexed.

Is there a way to search for a specific keyword within the sites to which the bookmarks are linked? I need to search all linked sites in the bookmark folder without having to open each page and "find" manually.

Currently, I must browse through 50 or so bookmarked pages to see if a specific topic is covered. I would like to be able to search all bookmarked pages at once for a specific keyword. For example, if I have 50 news sites bookmarked and I would like to see which pages have the word "tuna" in them, I would need to open each page individually and do a "find". If I could search all of those pages at once, then I would save an immense amount of time. I have looked on the add-ons and found nothing...

1. Create a smart album and in the drop down in the top right corner select file status
2. Check mark the file status box and select 'Offline'
Now you should have all your 'Offline' (Yellow Exclamation and/or Red Slash) files.
To reconnect..
1. Select the missing files.
2. Go to File and scroll to Manage Referenced Files
The dialog box will have one of the photos selected
3. Select the drive and folder that contains the referenced file and select it
4. Click 'Reconnect All'
This might not reconnect all of them, but the dialog box will still be open and you can reconnect the ones left.

Searching all documents in the cloud with Mountain Lion

Does anybody know if you can search all your documents in the cloud, without opening each seperate application within Moutain Lion? Say you couldn't remember what application you wrote some notes in.

How to read all material documents created for a service order /maint.order

in my Z-Program i need to read all material documents which are created for a service order or maintenance order.
Is there a function module which could be used or do you have some other hinds for this requirement?

Have you tried BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GET_DETAIL for fetching components details. Actually we have used it to get some other details.

Most scan apps have a setting whereas, your scan(s) can go directly to your desktop. No need to "hunt" for scanned docs.

I meant flickering means...when i open combobox and click focus is going out of air window as though combobox is in some another window. once click press mouse down...focus is in combo box but window loses focus and once releases mouse ..window back to focus. Kinda annoying effect when u try to click on combo box and select.
Tested with html scout sample app and load any webpage with combobox , window loses focus.
But any combobox made using EXT it do not flicker because ext handles focus event correctly.
My windows has set of combo box and user always select different value from combo box if keep losing focus and coming back its annoying as hell.

Need to modify header & footer of all Word documents in a SharePoint library

We have lots of Word documents in a library where we need to adjust all of the documents' header region's distance from top of page. (A standard setting under the Header & Footer tab in Word). Since we wouldn't want to do this manually for all these
docs, I am looking for a solution to update these by running a script or something. Any way of doing this by Powershell, or other suggestions?

I am having trouble getting the script to do it's thing. I seem to have gotten it to run through the right document library, but it fails right at the start. Seems to me that it can't get to load the template file to get the header of the template. Can you
see what the problem is from the log? I included the initial errors from start to opening the first file in the library.

I have ca. 30 pdf documents I need to search for keywords; how can I do on my MAC?

I have ca. 30 pdf documents I need to search for keywords; when I open these documents in Adobe Reader on my MAC, it shows a Search tool; however, when I search for keywords I know are in the document, none are found. How can I do a keyword search?

Do you know if the text has been OCR recognised? Are the original documents "scans"?
An easy way to find out, if you can select an individual word or letter? If you are selecting a whole block of text then the document will need to be put through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software first to enable you to keyword search.

If you buy used you have to be careful. I am not sure what software came with which system versions and which computers but the iLife application history is complex. If you end up looking for "original" discs such as those that came with your computer, make sure iPhoto was part of it, and make sure the discs you buy are really identical to the ones for your computer model. A lot of people sell gray colored discs as installer discs, but the versions are machine specific so getting any old Tiger installer may not work on your computer. Unfortunately the universal Tiger installer may not have iPhoto. Maybe somebody more familiar with the iPhoto history can provide specific advice.
An alternative is to look for a used iLife series that will work on your computer. Again, this will have to be used. Apple's staying ahead of the curve basically means those of us with old machines are left to fend for ourselves as best we can.

Every time Firefox opened

I believe this to be a browser issue, not a google search results issue, and here is why:
having updated Firefox only yesterday, I visited google images searching for pancakes.... interestingly, I have the NEW image results (yuck) on Firefox 3.6.8, I have the OLD image results on IE8 and Opera 10.53.
When I use the 'switch to basic version' in Firefox 3.6.8, indeed it DOES revert to the new format next time I image search (in Firefox).
For those of us who prefer the OLD image results page, I guess we will just have to switch browsers for google image search.
Now I'm off to research how to get rid of the UGLY FFox sidebar.

I then create 24 new content types based off of the above content type and I bind them to a document library.
After deployment, when the content types are all created and the library is created and have all the content types binded, I create a new document set in this library. I then try to add a new item (document).
This is where the interesting thing happens. When I add a Word or Excel document none of the EventHandlers are fired. But when I add a PDF, TXT, or XML document then the ItemAdding EventHandler is fired, 24 times - meaning the ItemAdding EventHandler is
fired for each DocumentSet content type binded to the list, before finally giving the uploaded document the content type "Document".
The document library gets created by a ListInstance on deployment, and all the content types are being binded in this ListInstance.
Is this a bug? Or have I done something wrong?
