Need to send FYI Notification - Oracle Applications

Hi,
I need to send FYI notification upon completion of one concurrent program of PL/SQL procedure type. Can I use WF_NOTIFICATION.SEND method? Alreay I have one custome FYI message defined in WF_MESSAGE table. I am new to workflow and dont want to touch or create the workflows....Any help?

Dear All,
I am facing problem regarding completion notifications in Oraclr r12, when user click the upon completion generated notifications it can only be viewd once, second time user cannot view the notifications.
I have find that fnd_file_temp table store this information and deleted it.
Plz help me how to view this URL again.

Need to send some notifications by mail (not all notif)

We run workflow embeded into EBS (11.5.10.2 4RUP). We have a custom workflow that uses Role (WF_LOCAL_ROLES) connected to employee register (ORIG_SYSTEM = 'PER' and orig_system_id = (person_id in per_all_people_f). we get the Role in the db package that starts the workflow and set it to the attribute Recipient.
I assume there are standard notifications (WF) that are sent to these roles. the roles have a notification_preference = 'SUMMARY' because the administrators/user do not want the system to send many e-mails but a summary e-mail and the user should check theis notif in Applications.
But... an here is the but....our specifc custom workflow creates a notification that we would like to send as an e-mail. what can we do?
The mails should be sent specific to users/employees induvidually. I mean the e-mail is specicif constructed per employee, so it is not a good idea to create a Role that connect many users or something. Can we create new roles specific per user/employee with notification_preference = 'MAILHTML' (or other mail pref)??
Would this work without intefiering with the other role. I need help to understand this functionality and how to get this to work. Thank you in advance!

Hi,
The only way that I can think of to do this would be to create an ad-hoc user at runtime which has an email preference set to MAILHTML (or any other preference that sends an email), and an email address set to the email address of the recipient. This would then send an email to the employee, and when the emails have been sent then you can purge the ad hoc directory so that you don't end up with lots of obsolete roles in the database.
The downside of this is that there is no way for anyone to see the notification from within eBS. Because it isn't sent to the employee, it would not appear in their worklist, which may or may not be acceptable to the business. One possible workaround would be to create another ad-hoc role, and asssign both the employee user and the ad-hoc user to the role, and expand the role on the notification so that multiple copies are sent (one to each member of the role). If the notification requires a response, then you need to write a post notification function to deal with the possibility of multiple responses, which makes the solution more complex still.

Send FYI notification after workflow is approved

I need to configure the system to trigger an FYI notification after a termination workflow has been approved by all approvers. This notification is based on checking the terminated employee's record for a credit card indicator. The recipient of the email would be the appropriate ER person. The tricky part is that the ER person may have already been involved in the approving of the termination based on the type. Is this even possible through AME? Is this something that needs to be done by a business event? This is in 12.1.3.

Personal data change in PORTAL (PA30) - need to send mail notification

Hi,
When there is any change in personal data on PORTAL need to send a mail notification to the respective agents. I was able to design the workflow in such a way that , whenever there is any change in the personal data (Ex. Marital status) it trigger an event and workflow starts, inturn it send mail to external system and sap Userid.
The question is ?
1. If the personal data is changed from the portal , does it trigger the same event in the backend ? does
it start my workflow?

For Payroll changes (HR) via MSS, send FYI notification to Payroll team containing details of the change (same as the notification review page).
From AME, I created the post-list approver rule with the payroll team approver group as members, and rule type as FYI. Problem with this is: the FYI notification has no details.
I tried the strong-arm approach. In the workflow, after the Approvals Notification Process, I added a custom notification with a custom message containing the notification review page. Problem is, once notification is approved, the review page is not available anymore and the notification does not contain the details.
Anyone has done a solution to a similar requirement before? This looks a normal requirement to me. Payroll changes were made (via MSS), then inform Payroll Dept of the changes.

How to send a Notification in the Background????

Hi Experts,
I am working on a process consisting of 2 activities :-
    - Creation of a Proposal by the Employee
    - Evaluation & Approval of Proposal by the Manager
I have these 2 doubts :-
    - I need to send a notification to the manager on creation of a proposal. How do i go about it???
    - Also i need to send a notification to the user regarding the approval or rejection of the proposal.
Should i create a Callable Object in GP and add that in the Action Create Proposal???
please guide me regarding the same.

So I guess you know this, but just in case here are installations you need to use for Adobe Document Services and composite forms in Web Dynpro Applications:
·        A local installation of Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.1.

To install the Adobe LiveCycle Designer, use the file SapAldSetup.exe from the downloaded archive 50083078_1.ZIP.
·        A local installation of Adobe Reader 7.0 or higher or a full version of Adobe Acrobat 7.0.
You can download Adobe Reader for free from the Adobe web site.
Depending on your requirements, you may also need to configure specific composite form properties.
Apart from that, if you have a ready composite form created previously, you can upload it by checking the Field-Based Template checkbox in the beginning of the wizard for creating composite form.Thus, the wizard does not make you create a new one from scratch, but rather upload your own.

Exception FYI notification in AME for PO requisition

Hi Consultants,
We have additional requirement to existing AME setup for Requisition approval process.
We have 2 rules for Requisition approval process.
Requirement:
We need to stop the approval process and send FYI noitification to Preparer if requestor position is not in the Position Heirarchy.
I have a created a Atttribite(boolean type) to get true if requestor is in position hierarchy or elase False.
i created a condition on this attribute and added to exsting 2 roles.
Now it is stoping the approval process and send FYI notification to preprarer saying that no approver found
Can we send FYI notification to preparer from AME?

Cancel FYI notification

Hi Consultants.
Does anyone know how to stop the canceling the FYI notification after a atual notification had timed out?
We have reuirement to send FYI notification after timeout the remider approval notification.
i addeed FYI notification but when i tested the Workflow FYI notification is sending and it is autoclosed after reminder notification got timeout.

FYI Notification in EIT Workflow Process

Hello,
I have created a EIT and added to Employee Self Service. Employee will use this EIT to store the Coaching Feedback.Now this feedback should go as FYI Notification to Manager , this should be just FYI and no approval is needed.
I configured the AME Rule Category as 'For Your Information'. Now the FYI is going to Manager correctly. However FYI Notification don't have employee coaching feedback . So how can i send FYI Notification to Manager with feedback detail.

Hi DBAs,
I need to implement alert notification for Applications Services (web, form, conc managers) in R12.1.1, if any or all of these services go down then I should get email alert. Hi,
You need to send the notification to a role, which can comprise one or more than one users. If you check the "Expand roles" checkbox, then a different copy of the notification will be sent to each member of the role; otherwise one notification is sent which can be viewed by all holders of the role.
You should always send a notification to a role rather than a user, anyway - roles do not go on holiday, get sick or leave the company; users do.

FYI Notifications

Hi,
In SSHR chnages made to personal details should be approved by immediate supervisor. I was able to do this, but what I require is soon after supervisor approval, as the databse is commiteed, the HR needs a notification on the changes made.
How to send FYI notifications to a HR user soon after approval.
