Need to set-up an older macbook with a different email for my husband to use

I have 2 mac notebooks, 1 older macbook + 1 new macbook air both were set-up with me as the admistrator. I want to set up the older mac book for my husband to use. Right now both computers are set to my email and have me as an administrator - they both maintain all of my settings for example, the Safari bookmarks are the same on both computers. We did download OX Lion on the macbook and my husband does have an Apple ID . What else do I need to do to separate the computers so we each have our own? We share an iTunes account so that is not an issue.

These are the directions of OS 10.7. Some of the details are different on other OS.
1. On your husband's computer, go to System Preferences / Users & Groups and click the padlock to unlock.
(U & G was called Accounts in older OS - not sure what you have on that older Macbook.)
2. Click the + sign. That will give you a new pane.
3. In New Account, select Administrator ( the default is "Standard").
4. Complete all the other fields.
After this is done, close that pane. Now back in U & G, select Login Options.
Set Automatic login to your husband's name.
Restart the computer, and select your husband's name. Check that all is well.
You can now, if you wish, go back to U & G, unlock and select your own name and click the - sign. That will remove your name from the computer.
You will also need to configure Mail for your husband's email with his password. When he first clicks on Mail he will be guided through the setup steps.

This an outline of what i did.
(i did the screenshots using a much smaller version of the image than you posted)
1. First you want to put both images into the same documents as layers.
     You could open both photos and then drag one into the other from the Photo Bin.
2. With the layer that just has the scoreboard selected, use the Quick Selection Tool to select just the scoreboard.
      Then right click inside the selection and press Layer via Copy, which puts just the scoreboard on a layer.
         (named sign in the screenshot)
3. Move the sign layer below the picture with you in it by dragging in the layers panel.
       Then use the Quick Selection Tool to select the over exposed scoreboard, go to
       Select>Inverse and then press the Add Layer Mask button at the bottom of the layers panel.
       The layer mask hides the overexposed scoreboard.
4. Select the layer with just the scoreboard and using the Move Tool, position the scoreboard
      so you can see it through the hole the layer mask made.
      Go to Image>Transform>Distort and move the corner handles of the bounding box to fit the new scoreboard
      in position.
Optional stuff:
Use the Clone Stamp Tool to clone around the cutout scroreboard to get rid of some of the highlights
Apply an Inner Shadow layer style to the scoreboard (sign) layer
If your going to send the photo by email or other means to someone else and resize the photo smaller, add some sharpening by selecting the top layer, pressing Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E to merge everthing into a new layer, select you,
add a layer mask and use one of the sharpening filters under Enhance>Unsharp Mask or Adjust Sharpness

There is no "adding" a device. Simply plug the iDevice into the computer. iTunes should automatically detect the device when it is connected.
iTunes can sync/manage as many iDevices as you want... there is no 1 device limit.

I have been wondering about this for quite some time now: How do I make an purchases, whether they are for apps or in-app purposes, with a different email?
I am currently using an iPhone 4 that was given to me by my sister's ex-boyfriend about 2 years ago, and I have been using his Apple account and password to download apps and such. But I don't know how to buy something in the App Store or make an in-app purchase because it requires information/ security questions from my sister's ex-boyfriend's account, which neither my sister or I know, and her ex-boyfriend is long gone by now, so we cannot contact him anymore. So I made my own Apple account and tried to make a purchase from there, but I still needed to answer security questions from my sister's ex-boyfriend's account, which bugged me. I have been thinking that this is the case because I downloaded the apps off his account, and curious if the problem would be fixed if I resetted my iPhone entirely or deleted all the apps that I downloaded with his account, and then re-downloaded them on my new account. The only problem is that, I don't want to lose my progress with any of the apps that I am using currently, and even if I saved them on the Cloud, I would still need to use his account information to bring them back, which I don't want. Also, I have an app that lets me purchase apps from the App Store with points, and I don't want to lose those apps either or else my points would come to waste. So, is it possible for me to use an account different from my previous one, since I don't know its security answers, to make purchases, and without worrying about losing any paid apps and app progress I might have? This really bugs me. Thank you in advance.

Sorry you're going to lose the progress of all your apps,
settings - app/iTunes store - sign out and then sign in with your apple id.
Delete all the apps under his and then download it with your apple id.

Yes it will, just sign out, then sign back in with the correct address.

Thanks. I had tried that, but was still having problems. Then I realized that I was using three addresses on both devices. Once I changed it to only one email on one iPad and a different email on the other, it worked great. Your message encouraged me to dig deeper and think differently. It worked. Thanks again!

Thanks. Short of the sort of "generic" suggestions of restaring your system, if you haven't, and repairing disk permissions and verifying the disk, I don't have any advice right now. I'll do some research and see if I can come across anything. Meanwhile, someone else may have an idea.

As to this I wondered if there was a way to set up having 2 shortcuts or 2 downloads of firefox with each one having a different homepage, but still using igoogle.
Do I need to download another copy of firefox and while setting it up, set it up with the different email address? Or is there another way of doing this? Or is it something that cannot be done?

Yes, the email addresses need to be unique to each device. You may use the same Apple ID on each device, but the email address used by each device needs to be different.

You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC.

This should work; one of my e-mail accounts is my own domain through Gmail. Make sure your username is set to your full e-mail address (like [email protected]) rather than just your username.
Did you set it up on your iPhone as an IMAP account, or as a Gmail account? It should work perfectly using the Gmail setting. It can work as IMAP, but you need to jump through a few hoops to get there.

You remember the answers to the security questions or you call Apple, talk to someone in account security, and prove to them that you own the account.
