Need to show text as links in AppThumbnailExplorer Layout set

Hi,
I am using AppThumbnailExplorer layout set to display "My Favorites" iview in 3*3. But the entries are as text-we need to show the entries as hyperlinked (TEXT as TEXT)

The text is still displayed without UNDERLINE....

Need to disable Text Item Link on Requisition Approval Form (Self Service)

Hi All
When I open a Requisition via Workflow Administration for approving it.I am able to see the following sections.
Requisition Lines
Approval Sequence
Related Applications
Edit Requisition
View Requisition Details.
I want the “Edit Requisition” button not to appear when I am logging in through a particular responsibility. If I go to Personalise Page, there is an option disable the entire Related Applications (that is both Edit Requisition and View Requisition Details). Is there a way to disable/hide only “Edit Requisition” (as shown above in BOLD) and not View Requisition Details.
Please assist.Need to know this urgently.

Show links with news layout set

Hi ,
Can i show edit list and subscribe link for XML items, with newsexplorer layout i was able to get the commands for a single resource but i want to links to folder..I want users to subscribe to and if they have folder permisssion then display edit link.. I tried HTML Collection Renderer, this is not working for Newsexplorer layout. Any Ideas? thanks

Expanding Text shows up as links

I have something odd going on. I use RoboEngine and publish
all my projects together. A majority of my projects show the
expanding text produced by using the Glossary Hotspot Wizard
correctly, but a handful is showing the terms for the expanded text
as LINKS. The color of the terms that are being displayed correctly
is red, the ones showing up as links are blue and are underscored.
My procedure for all my projects is the same when I'm running the
Glossary Hotspot Wizard. Any comments or suggestions?

I think what is working against you here is the simple fact
you are using RoboEngine. This indicates you are either using
RoboInfo or are producing WebHelp Pro outuput. I'm guessing that
you are in a very small minority. As such, there is simply a dearth
of folks experienced with your product.
Are you able to produce regular WebHelp? If so, does the
problem manifest then? Assuming the answer to both of those
questions is "yes", then maybe we can help. But until we do know
the answer, I'm guessing we are all assuming it may be something
simply related to using RoboEngine as opposed to being more generic
in nature.

Need to wrap text around HTML widget

Hi,
I'm making a site with pages that contain lots of text and images to go along with the text next to it. The person hosting the site however says that all photos need to be linked through photobucket due to space,so I need to use HTML widgets for the photos, and i want it hosting on this site as opposed to .me. I know that you can wrap text around inserting images from your own computer and you can't wrap it around a widget, so at the moment i've inserted boxes into the text and put the widgets over the boxes but when viewed in a browser everything is out of place.
Is there any other solution? there really should be.

There is a way to lock the text so that it will appear the same in all browsers regardless of font or platform: apply a drop shadow with 6% opacity to the font which will convert it to an image. When you do you'll see this icon on the text box:

To see the image indicator you'll have to select the checkbox "Show text imaging indicator" in iWeb's preferences:

There is a downside to this in that having addition image files on the page can add to the loading time. That may or may not be an issue but if it is you can always remove the drop shadow.
NOTE: The text appears to be 13 pt Lucida Grande which is pretty small and difficult to read IMO. Using Times New Roman 14, a serf font, takes up about the same amount of room and, IMO, is much easier to read. Just a though.

Text Anchor Links

Hello,
We are working on a project that uses Text Anchor Links.
We need the links, that are in the same document, to open in a new window. (For example: A link on page 4 that points to page 76 needs to open a new window showing both page 4 in the original window and 76 in a new).
The only way we can get this to work is by having the links in separate PDF documents, but would like to have one file instead of a resource folder.
Anyone know of a way to do this?

I have exactly the same problem with the url's in the body of my Verizon webmail emails too! The problem started a couple of weeks ago. The url's are not highlighted at all. I too have to copy them and them paste them into a browser. It appears to be a problem with the Verizon webmail application, since it doesnt matter which computer I access webmail from.

Swf file not showing text

I have revamped my website and for some reason I cannot get
the whole .swf to show the text after i put it through Dreamweaver.
when i look at the .html file and play the .swf file everything
works just fine. I have this as my home page and need all my text
to show properly.
I have links within the website going back to home page and
the .swf file show the text like it should. Is this a Flash 8 issue
or a Dreamweaver problem?
Here is my website and someone can browse and hopefully see
what i am talking about. If you go to one fo the other page and
click on home page you see that the page looks different from the
www.joanrobertsfoundation.com page.
Please help me understand what i could possibly be doing
wrong.

THE NEED:

I need to display text only portal pages. Some of the more
detailed concerns at this point are below. Also, I've had an open
tar on Metalink for about two weeks, and after research from
their end has resulted in no help.
THE ISSUES (so far):

IMAGES:
If an anchor [A HREF=...] tag uses an image as it's "text", I
need to strip out the ALT= text to show inside the anchor. If no
ALT text is available, then I would like to show the image name
as a default.
For example:

FORMS:
How do I get the resulting page from a form (which include the
login inputs and submit button, search box, advanced search page,
etc.) to be displayed by the text only page?
For example:
When a form is called, the <FORM> elements are as follows:

ACTION=url (relative or absolute) to the script.
In this case, the action value is:
ACTION=/servlet/page?
pageid=6&dad=portal30&_schema=PORTAL30.
This calls the advanced search API.
I would expect that to redirect the browser back to some
text-only version, the ACTION= element would have to be changed
to be something like:

I've written a socket/text scraper in Perl, running it from a web
server. The problems mentioned above are really causing problems,
plus the whole cookie thing. Since Oracle Portal tries to push a
cookie to the client, when the client is another UNIX server,
the cookie thing doesn't work.

strip out the HTML calls.

Use Find/Change and the GREP tab.
Search for .+ and set the Find formatting to find the charcteristics you want.
What will you do with this text once found? You'll need something to "change" to, either new text or Change Formatting options...

I would like to know how to fix my safari. There are many pages that the text and links appear as "AAAAAAA" and I dont know where to click or what to do

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then either copy or drag it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Remember, steps 1-5 are all drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste, whichever you prefer — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
You can then quit Terminal.

Is it possible to pull out a different text colour link in text?

Is it possible to set two different colours for text, for example the body text is black and i'd like to highlight a link in the text lets say red and create a ur link for this text.
The only way this seems to work is by creating a separate text div for the link, however this seems to cause alignment issues? I cannot seem to highlight this text from the div and change the colour only for the link.

As of now you will need to have text in different divs to have different styles and group them together .
There is a way where you can hack this ,style your text externally containing spans with internal styles and paste this as value of the 'text' property of the text object in the _edge.js file

Plain Text URL links not working in the Windows 8 Mail App for only one account.

I just started using a Surface Pro, and randomly one of the accounts I have setup in the "Modern" Mail app stopped parsing the pain text URL path that was included in them. Specifically links to forum discussions. I have 4 other Win
8 devices and they display the links fine.
More confusing is this issue happens ONLY with my O365 mail account and only on one PC. I have an Outlook.com account and it renders the pain text URL as a clickable link, but when I send the same email to my O365 account it just shows up as
text, no link generated. All in the same Windows 8 Mail App.
I ran the Windows 8 App Troubleshooter, I've reinstalled the Mail app, I've removed and re-added the mail account. Nothing fixes this. Anyone know why?

Same problem for us, the link is also not rendered, if the mail is sent to an on-premise Exchange server.
Its only for plain-text messags, HTML-messages work fine.
Why is this problem ignored? The app is useless with that limitation.

To get BOM details, do the following:
1. Use the material number and goto Article to BOM link table (MAST) to get STLNR (BOM).
2. With this STLNR, goto STPO table (where STLNR is the key field). Here you will get all the BOM details like components (IDNRK), UoM (MEINS) etc....

Autotype text in linked sections of a double sided card?

Hello, I'm making some double sided cards and I would like to have the title repeated on both the recto and the verso side. Is there a way to link the two "area's" and have pages autotype the text in one side as I enter it on the other side?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I just copy/pasted everything. I was creating a template for price tags. You can compare them with double sided business cards, there are 8 cards on one page. So the header/footer option wasn't really what I was looking for. Anyway, it's finished now although the possibility to link multiple textfields so you just need to type text only once, would still be handy.
