Need to startup in two different systems

I have an iMac which I've recently upgraded to 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). I can no longer use Quark 6, Snow Leopard supports only the latest version of Quark. This is a one-time use of Quark so I really don't want to upgrade if I don't have to. Is there a way I can temporarily start up my computer in OS 9?

Oh, I believe it (that you still have an original iMac) - the problem with all electronics is that it is outdated as soon as you walk out the door of the shop with it (or close to it) and then of course, they want you to keep buying stuff, so they issue updates/upgrades which then will only work with a new machine. In a nutshell, a consumer spending driven economy.

  • FCE HD 3.5 Crashing at Startup on Two Different Macs

The software started crashing on my Power Mac a couple of days after install. I tried trashing the preferences--but It still crashes again every time I open the application.
Then on the advice from someone on this forum, I trashed everything associated with FCE, Soundtrack, and LIvetype.
    Yet the problem persists.
Then we got a brand new iMac last week and installed FCE HD 3.5 (from a different disk) and I am having exactly the same problem.
I am trying not to pull my hair out.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Basically, whenever I click on the application to open it, it will start opening, and then will crash within 5 seconds.
The only way I have found to rid this problem is to trash the preferences folder. Then afterwards, the application will work fine for one editing session. But then the next time I try to launch the application, it starts to crash at start up again. And will crash continually at startup until I trash the preferences again.
This is occuring to me on two different Macs where I have installed FCE 3.5 HD separately using different disks.
Both Macs are purchased within the last year, have tons of RAM, Quicktime Pro, the latest OS etc. etc.
My intuition tells me that it is some kind of FCE software problem, since I am having the exact same problem on two different systems.

  • Two different system in ESS ABAP Webdynpro

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to connect two different system (ECC 6.0) in ESS with ABAP Webdynpro Technology (EHP5)? I know it is possible in Java Webdynpro (EHP4). Please advice.
    Thanks
    Jacob

    Hello Jacob,
I would recommend to configure the Jcos to access your second system which will be much more used as the standard ones:
    ○     SAP_R3_HumanResources
    ○     SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData
    ○     SAP_R3_Financials
    ○     SAP_R3_Financials_MetaData
    ○     SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics
    ○     SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData
As for the Leave Request framework, this parameter is configured on the Iview via the Application Parameters. You can go on this via Content Admin as this is a field on the property on the iview.
You should create a new JcO to the destination system of the Leave Request framework and to parameters add the
    sap-wd-arfc-useSys = JcoName.
Please refer to the following link on how to create the Jco.

    I had a requirement of having two differnt versions of Jinitiator loaded on a single client system. This is requiremnt for two different applications say application 'a' and application 'b';
Will browser recognise which one to choose depending upon application ?

Yes, the confirguration information on the application server defines which version of the plug ins to us and so the correct one will be loaded.

  • Need help deciding between two different Zen products [micro vs ... micr

    Hey all,
Just bought a black zen micro last Wednesday and am loving it. Bought it from Best Buy and splurged on the extra protection plan. Unfortunatlly, after a trip to Fry's today, I'm questioning my impulse buy.
At Fry's they have two different box sets of Zen Micros. One small one, like the one I got at Best Buy, with the player/battery, headphones, usb cable and smooth little pouch. But they also had a larger box with player/battery, headphones, usb cable, smooth little pouch AND an AC charger (and I'm not sure, but possibly a second battery?). I am assuming that this large box with more items (but still the same $99 price) is an older box. What I'm wondering is if there is any difference between the players in the two boxes. If there is not a difference, then I'm going back to Best Buy to get a refund and get one of the boxes at Fry's that has the charger with it (a much needed accessory for my uses). Of course, if the players do differ, I would have to find out in what way and weigh my option to keep what I have or return it and base a decision on that. That, of course, is what prompted this post.
I know some players just can't help but be deffecti've, does this older box contain a series with a higher rate of returns? Does it look different (I really like the way the back lighting looks on mine)? Anyone have experience with one of the older boxed sets and one of the newer ones (bought one, then another for S.O.)?
I'm already leaning towards return, but I just wanted to check with other creative users before I made my final decision.
    Thanks,
    -Jonathan

There is no difference in the operation of the players. The very early Micros had the word "BACK" on the return button, the newer version just has a left pointing arrow. Supposedly, the newest units have a revision to the headphone jack, but there is no way of telling if you have the better or worse jack. The large box will also have the holder with the belt clip and stand. The Limited Edition has the extra battery, and is clearly marked with a sticker on the front of the box that says "Limited Edition FREE Extra Battery for 24 Hour Playtime. Some people say that the backlighting is different with the newer units, I dont know. The large box IS the older retail version. Hope this helps you.

  • Difference in LOCL print preview for same script in two different systems

    Hi All,
When I am testing a dunning letter ( Custom sapscript) in my testing system the LOCL print preview is correct...When I am testing  it in my development system by taking print preview from LOCL it is not printing a uline and some line item headers...
There is one text element for printing line item header.
    U1....ULINE(73)
    T0    &vline& ....&T_MATNR&..
    T3    &vline&
    UL   &ULINE(73)
IN Development sytame in print preview every thing is perfect except the above portion the first uline and vline are not getting printed and as a result next vline and uline are dispalyed a bit above .. I am unable to understand why one uline is not printed but the othe one is printed as we are using HELVE12 in both cases and above all  why in test system this problem is not occuring..
I checked and am 100% sure there is no difference between the layout versions in the two sapscripts...Also checked most of the SPAD configs in two systems and found them same..
Can you give me any idead about the reason for the diffrence in print preview as in both cases it will consider the printer installed on the local desktop....
Just we use citrix metaframe to log in SAP but that should not be the reason as thne problem would be in both system..
    Please help me out...
    Thanks and Regards
    Sweta

    Hi ,
I already mentioned that I am selcting LOCL ( Device type Sapwin)  in both cases so in both cases it is considering the printer installed on the local system...
Can anyone tell me specific spad config or anything else which I need to compare in both systems..

  • How to execute Script in Test Plan with two different System Data Container

    Dear members,
    I have a requirement.

Currently it is not possible, to maintain more than one SDC on a test plan.
A workaround is, to maintain one SDC on a test plan and specify no target system direct in a test plan. If you maintain then your  two systems in one SDC, you can specifiy each target system in the test configuration, where it is needed.
    Here the example:
    test plan:
    systemdata container: SDC_ALL
    target system: <empty>
    test config 1:
    systemdata container:
    target system: CRM
    test config 2:
    systemdata container:
    target system: ERP
    systemdata container: SDC_ALL
target system: CRM -> rfc 1
target system: ERP -> rfc 2
    Kind regards,

  • Intensity Pro Disappears from two different systems

I posted this question on the BMD forums and with BMD tech directly, still no answer, going to try my luck here!
I have two Mac Pros (MacPro3,1 early 2008), one is running 10.6.8 and the other is running 10.9.2. Each of them has an Intensity Pro card in it. I'm not sure when this problem started, but I'd say about a year ago in BMD drivers I didn't have this issue. I'd like to roll back to a working version of the BMD drivers, but I don't know which one to go to.
For a while now, after a few reboots, the card disappears from the system and isn't detected by the computer or the drivers, or Media Express.
I have tried rebooting, clearing the EFI, clearing the boot caches, but the only thing that seems to work is moving the card to a different PCIe slot. Then it's fine for a few months, eventually disappears again, and I move it back to the old slot, and it shows up again for another few months.
The machines are identical, except one has a Radeon 5000 series video card. They both have 16GB RAM, and no other cards in the PCIe slots, save the GPU.
    Wierd huh?
    *UPDATE*
I am now running V10 drivers on the Mavericks system, and V8.6.1 on the Snow Leopard system. No change. Every time I have to power off or reboot, the cards are gone. Then I have to shut the machine off again, move the offending cards to different slots, start up again, and they're back...
Note: This doesn't affect my Radeon cards or my UAD1 card.

I'm currently running Blackmagic Desktop Video Macintosh 9.9.2 on a Mac Pro 5,1 (2010) with Mavericks (10.9.2) without any issues (using an BM Intensity Pro card). Previously ran Blackmagic Intensity Macintosh 3.9.4 on a Mac Pro 2,1 (2007) with Snow Leopard without issue.

  • Installing two Different Systems

I posted this previously but my question was not very clear so I'll restate it (hopefully ) better.
I have a dual 1gig G4. I want to run Tiger for my daily work and keep 10.5 on the machine for when I am not DJing. Right now Leopard crashes in the middle of a set and I have lost remote control on both my Macally and Keyspan triggers. What I wanted to avoid was losing my playlists, Having to reimport my music which has metadata stored with BPM, Genres etc. When I have changed my system previously all that time intensive work has failed to make the migration.. I DO NOT want to run them simultaneously. Can you install both operating systems then open applications in which ever system I booted from OR do I need two separate Applications folder. It seems that at most I would need two Libraries but not duplicate apps. Does that sound reasonable?

Thanks how would I know?I really need only two apps in 10.5 Traktor & Mac Ally keypoint. oh yeah plus iTunes but the issue is would I need to recreate all my iTunes notes, playlists or bpm info? That would be the dealbreaker

  • Client Copy between Two Different Systems

    Hi!!
Could someone please explain or provide any documentation which explains how to perform client copy between two r/3 systems of same version(ecc 6.0)
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vishwa.

    Hi,
Save the contents that need to be copied in a Transport request at source client.
Now at the target client system,
execute transaction 'SCC1' and give the TR number and execute it.
The changes from the source client system this way will get copied to destination client system.
    Reward if useful!
    Thanks,
    KalpanaR

  • Compare two queries of two different system.

    Hello all,
I need to certify the some queries, the process we follow is as below.
    1. The query will be created in Production system, we will transport back to Development server.
    2. Compare the query (Characterstics, Key Figures and Definition), In other words I need to compare and validate each and every aspect of Query with the Development and Production.
    3. I need to change the query if I find anything difference in Prod and Dev system.
    4. Transport to the Production.
Here my problem is I'm comparing manually by opening RRMX in each of the system and each variable, its time consuming as it is a manual process there is a chance of missing some important. So I would like to know is there any way to compare the queries Prod and Dev server in easier way than manually.
I hope requirement is clear to you or else just let me know your concerns and thoughts on this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Umashankar

    Umashankar,
I dont think there is an easy way to do this as you are asking for - however you can do a basic level comparison as to number of query ellements , variables that are there etc - this can be done using the table rszcompdir which has all the query elements of the query but then a direct one to onw comparison may not be possible since the query elements are identified by GUIDs which usually will be different across systems.
