I get popups about needing to update version and some add ons are expired. I would like to stop these I can't up date. I've downloaded myself and I get the file is corrupt a lot of hours for nothing tried several times downloaded from the library and it said the same thing so I''l just keep the version that came with corel word perfect. When I try to update the add ons I get the same thing plus my machine gets messed up again I'll just stay with what is there. Please stop the popups they are very annoying whe I know there is nothing I can do about it. Thank you very much [email protected]

Why do i always get the "forsee survey popup" with Firefox ?- no add ons installed

Every time i install firefox even on a brand new system, i always get these "Foresee survey" pop ups on the browser. It's not a seperate window popup, but rather a box that appears on the browser itself. I receive these pop ups when visiting websites like walmart, amazon and other websites where you can make purchases. I do not download any add ons on firefox nor do i have any viruses or spyware as this is a new system with nothing downloaded or installed but the stock apps and i have already run a full sys scan. I have noticed for the longest time i get these pop ups on every system i install firefox on and it only happens with the firefox browser. Does anyone know how i can stop these pop ups without having to install an add on to stop them? I find it unnecessary and a little intrusive to be receiving these pop ups. It means that there is some stock extension on firefox that tracks what websites i visit and thus triggers the pop up survey which leads me to be concerned about my privacy. This almost breaks my preference of the browser.

Thanks for your help , you made me realized that , I did change the permission for /home/icefox directory.
What I did for resolving this problem is , modify the /home/icefox permission , make icefox group can access this folder and add http user to icefox group , then , problem resolved.

Need to re-burn a DVD, but some source files are missing. But Media Cache folder has them all.

hi all. I have PE3 and the issue is this: I needed a DVD of a project I'd completed a year ago, and I didn't have an old copy of the DVD. So I decided to re-burn it. But on opening the project, it seems some of the source files have been misplaced on my computer, so it says 'media offline'.
I figured I'd still be able to burn it though, because the Media Cache folder contained all the required files...
However it starts to burn the DVD and then stops at 49% saying transcoding error.
Q1: can you still burn a DVD if it says 'media offline' but you know all the source files are present in the Media Cache folder?
Q2: what's the transcoding error?

The Media Cache folder contains files that are only of use to PE during internal editing and will NOT solve your lost video problem.
Once a Project is completed, that have no outside value.
The contents are CFA and PEK files, which is the Conformed Audio and Waveform Display, respectively (no video here to my knowledge).
And I'm not aware of any way to make them useful (outside of PE).
If you happen to have your Project and source video/audio files intact, and then delete the contents of the Media Cache folder, upon re-opening the Project, PE will regenerate the CFA and PEK files. Again this is only if you have the Project and all the source files (Assets)...

Everytime I close and reopen firefox, my themes and add-ons are gone and I need to re-install them.

To be more specific, my chosen custom theme will be deleted, buttons for add-ons such as "white on black" will have to be added again, and settings such as the preference to save downloads on my desktop instead of a "Downloads" folder will be reset to the latter.
Also, when I reopen the browser, I get the Firefox Start Page, as I have specified, but I also get other tabs such as the homepages for greasemonkey and userstyles.org.
Please do help me if you can, I need a solution. I choose a theme that changes the entire skin to black because I work on the PC for long hours, and I need dark colours to help my eyes cope with the stress. I keep getting error message that plugin container has an issue that needs to be resolved. Some of my extensions and add ons are no longer loading either. I

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plug ins as well as gone to the trouble shooting area for these plugins. I have tried installing firefox again. I also tried using beta 4 and I had the same issue. Also it is taking forever to load pages.

Did you make sure that your firewall or other security software isn't blocking the plugin-container process?

You can still have a photo for a text page background. Go to the layout pane for the text page and click on the photo background icon:
Then drag the photo you want as the background into the page.

What format are these problem tracks in? If they are MP3's, trying running them through the MP3 Validator utility to have it fix any missing or corrupted track data.

I can't actually call a number? There's none listed on this site. I need help making a popup menu activate a customized lightbox for a digital magazine/publication.

I'm not much of a programmer since my experience is in animation, but I need to make a popup window link to/activate a lightbox. I did well just to get the button to make the popup work since I have no programming experience! So now, on to something a little more complex for me!
