Need to switch devide from BB9000 to Z10 but BB Link does not access my new Z10
I've tried all the suggestions in previous posts (i.e. turning on airplan mode, turning off wi-fi network, turning off Windows firewall an Bitdefender firewall too, calling Vodafone for technical support, disinstalling BB Link and downloading it again) but nothing happens: when I try to switch devices through BB Link, I only get as far as step 5/8: at that point BB sees my Z10 but when I click on the icon, I keep getting the same message: " Cannot access device" (in Italian it reads "impossibile effettuare la connessione al dispositivo").
By the way, Vodafone suggested writing for technical support through BB website but I can't find an email address for support anywhere in the site.
It's so frustrating!

My best suggestion is to do what I did, and send the thing back. Blackberry aren't going to care that one user couldn't make it work, but they will once, in your case, Vodafone start sending hundreds of them back.
My carrier, T-Mobile, when I spoke to them regarding my initial frustrations, seemed strangely unsurprised at my disappointment, and accepted the Z10 back without a single word of discussion.
This is the phone that they'd wanted to charge me for when it was released, but only a few weeks later gave me for free. I think I know why, now...

I have a combination modem/router from time warner that is separate from my phone line but I get bad reception on my apple tv an ipads upstairs in my house. I would like to fix this and want to know the best way to go about it . Whether getting two modems and routers or just one base station. Please help
It is possible to extend a WiFI network using Apple's Airport Express, Airport Extreme Base Station, or even a Time Capsule. However the router that is creating the network (the one you have downstairs) must be configurable to permit another WiFi device to extend the network. All Apple WiFi routers can be configured that way, but there are many third party WiFi routers that cannot. The two routers can be connected wirlessly or by ethernet. From your description I suspect ethernet would be prefereable if yoiu had a good way of routing the cable.

You can't delete an account, you will need to replace the email address on the old account first e.g. by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store on it on iOS device and logging into it, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http:// appleid.apple.com

My iPod wont detect if I turn it. If I am playing a game where I need to turn it from side to side. Up down does work. Is it broken. If so, how much for a fix?? Please help
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Hi all, I upgraded my MBP to Lion , but on the screen where i need to type my password, click on my photo and it does not appear the place for me to type my password and it stay stuck there. Can anyone solve this problem for me?
Reboot the machine holding Command and r keys down, you'll boot into Lion Recovery Partition
In there will be Disk Utility, use that to select your Lion OS X Partition and Repair Permissions.
After that is done reboot the machine and see if you can log in.
If not repeat the above steps to get into Lion Recovery, get online and reinstall Lion again, it will overwrite the installed version and hopefully after that it wil work.
Reboot and try again.
If not follow my steps to create a Snow Leopard Data Recovery drive, then option boot from it and grab a copy of your files off the machine.
Then reinstall all your programs onto the external drive like setting up a new machine, then use Disk Utility to erase the entire internal boot drive (select the drive media on the far left, not the partiton slightly indented) format Option: GUID , 1 partition OS X Extended and then use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the external to the newly formatted internal drive. Once that is finished reboot and disconnect the external drive.
Once you go that, boot into Snow Leopard and update to 10.6.8, use the AppStore and option click on Purchases and download Lion again and install.
Lots of work, but there is no Lion disks.

Using Azul media player app on my ipad Apple tv will only display sound but not video from movies. Any ideas on a fix. I set mirroring to on but it still does not display video. It will display photos and video recorded from my iphone.
Here are the steps for AirPlay:
Before starting Azul from your (running iOS 5.x/6.x) home screen where have have all your apps we need to turn on mirroring
On your iPhone 4S/5 or iPad 2 or 3, double-click the Home Button to view your recently-used apps.
Swipe all the way to the right to until you see the icon.
Note: If the icon does not appear, go to the "If AirPlay Mirroring is not visible or available on your mobile iOS device" section.
Tap the icon to see the list of available AirPlay devices.
Enable AirPlay Mirroring in this menu by tapping on an available Apple TV, then sliding the Mirroring slider to ON.
Now you should be seeing your iPad/iPhone on your TV.
Start up Azul now and using the settings icon on the top right corner go to the option that say "TV out" ON.
When you do that you will see an Orange screen
Now click "Done" and play the video you want to watch and it will AirPlay -
I am trying to transfer photos, music, etc from my Power Mac G5 to my new iMac. The Power Mac is too old for the migration assistant to help. I have an old Firewire but it does not fit the new iMac. Any suggestions? If a Firewire is the best option which one do I need? Thanks.
You need a Firewire 800 to 400 adapter or cable or a external USB 2/3 drive (self powered) it can default to the old USB the G5 uses 1 or 2.

i updated to ios 5.1.1 and added icloud services. the problem is now whenever i connect my iphone to my PC, itunes does not recognize my phone. i need it to but it just does not connect..
Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

Recently, I can't get any sound from my game applications. Sound works fine with video, streaming, etc, but not my game applications. I've tried powering down and re-booting, but the sound does not return. Can anyone help me?
Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). I downloaded a Lexmark firmware update file for a color laser printer, just to see what it contained.
It downloaded as a .zip file.
I double-clicked the .zip file to un-zip it. (Sorry, I'm not sure which program actually did the unzipping.)
Once unzipped, it contained several files for multiple operating systems, including Windows and OS X.
Double-clicking on the PrinterFileLoader.dmg should start the installation on your Mac.
Opening the README Updating firmware.pdf file and selecting the Mac section revealed:

Your firmware update README file should contain similar information.

BB Link on my Windows 8 PC does not see media on Z10
I am able to connect my Z10 to BB Link on my Window's 8 PC. The phone’s status shows up as Connected. I can performs a device backup successfully. Yet Link does not see any of the pictures or video’s on the phones internal memory or the media card. I cannot transfer media from the PC to the phone either.
I know that the problem is not with my phone because I can connect to BB Link on my Window’s 7 pc and see and transfer media successfully.
I have tried disabling the firewall, uninstalling and reinstalling BB Link to no avail.http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538

Your images are truly no longer present on the hard drive(s)? Have you had your operating system do a search for them?
If such a search fails to find them, here's what I would do, in order
Look in the trash can/recycle bin
Restore from backups
If you don't have backups ... well, why not? ... find a program on the internet called an "undelete utility" (free versons are available) and then download and install it and run it. If you are going to do this, then do not perform any other tasks on your computer except find the program, download it (if possible to a different drive than the photos were stored on), install it (if possible to a different drive than the photos were stored on), and run it. In the future, you will need to commit to making regular backups of your photos and of your Lightroom catalog file, no excuses.
If that doesn't work, but the thumbnails still appear in Lightroom, you can probably recover the thumbnails from Lightroom via a plug-in, but these would be low-resolution versions of your photos, if you really need instructions on this step, write back
