Need to sync Apps from old Ipod to new Iphone on different computers

I have apps on my old Ipod touch that I want to put on my new Iphone. My Ipod is synched to my PC, but I want to sync my new Iphone to my Macbook Pro. I also want to put the old apps on my Ipod and put them on my Iphone. What should I do?

Sign into the Apple ID used to purchase them on you iPhone (in Settings>Store), then download the apps as past purchases directly to the phone (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).  Prior to syncing with your MacBook Pro, disable automatic syncing in iTunes (iTunes Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically").  Then connect your phone and when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar, right-click on it and select Transfer Purchases (to transfer the apps to your iTunes library).  You will also need to authorize your computer for this Apple ID in iTunes (under Store>Authorize this computer) in order to sync these apps to your phone.

  • Unable to sync apps from old iPad2 to new iPad3

    I have a new iPad3, upgrade from iPad2.
Both the old and new iPads were issued by my company.
I have TWO PCs and TWO appleIDs:
    1.  The first PC is my work computer (Win7, iTunes 10), where I use my work-issued AppleID to sync with the company-issued MobileIron configured profile.  This worked fine, all is good. Works great, no problems.
    2.  The second PC is my personal computer (Win7, iTunes 10), where I use my personal AppleID to sync with my personal AppleID to pick up my music, apps, etc.
On my personal PC, I keep getting the dreaded "We could not complete your iTunes request. The network connection was reset."  I know this must be common because I find many posts about it, but most are several years old.  I've tried several suggestion not on apple.com and none work.  Network connections are fine, as you can see because I am posting here from my personal PC.
I was able to sync music and all loaded great onto the new iPad3.  When I try to sync apps, it tells me the computer is not authorized.  When I try to authorize again, it gives me the same error.
My frustration is this worked GREAT on my prior iPad2.  I was able to sync with both PCs and both the work and personal AppleIDs and bounce back and forth between the two any time I needed to do so.
My company IT department says they have not changed anything in the MobleIron config that should prevent this from happening, and other employees do it with no problem.

    Hi,
Is this resolved now? I am facing similar problem and would appreciate if you could help

  • Transfer Music from old ipod til new iphone

    Hi’
I bought a iPhone 4, but how do I get my music from my old ipod to the new iphone.
BTW. The old ipod is on one computer and my new iphone 4 is on another computer.
    Anyone that can help?

Here is one way which will also transfer playcount, playlists, etc. Do it this way and your iTunes library will be identical on both computers.

  • Songs from old Ipod on new Iphone

How can I transfer the Songs from my old Ipod (2004) to my new Iphone????

Are you really using Windows 2000 as the last version of iTunes to work with it is 7.3.
I have no experience with doing this but a quick google of iPhone copy to pc
    produced this link:
    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/136350
This one claims to be both compaticle with Windows 2000, iphone and ipod.
Perhaps you could find others with Google.
If you just want to copy from your iPod to PC, then use iTunes to copy to the iPhone there are many products, see:

  • How do i sync music from old imac to new iphone?

I synced Handels music cd to old imac and nano. Then I bought new imac and new iphone. Never did migration. The new iphone is synced with new imac. I lost the Handel cd and I wanted to get the Handels music onto my new iphone. I want to transfer handels music from old imac (or old nano) to new imac or new iphone. Is this possible?
    Thanks for any input.
    Tim

You cannot transfer it directly to the iPhone, but you can copy the music to the new Mac. If they are on the same network you can drag the folder containing the music from the old iMac to the desktop on the new Mac. Then on the new mac drag and drop that folder onto iTunes in the dock bar. If they are not on the same network copy the folder to a data CD on the old Mac, then put the CD in the new Mac and drag the folder from the CD to iTunes.

  • Syncing apps from my iPod to new iTunes library

I recently went through a hard drive failure on my laptop and was unable to back up my iTunes library. I lost everything. Now I reinstalled iTunes on my new hard drive, plugged my iPod in and clicked Transfer Purchases. All my songs and movies got transfered over, but not my apps. What do I do to get my apps to transfer over to iTunes? They are still on my iPod.

    Welcome to AD!
It should have transferred everything. The apps didn't get purchased using a different itunes store account, did they? If so, maybe you forgot to authorize using that 2nd account?
Otherwise you can just redownload them...only apps get the free redownload.

Need to sync apps from my friends iphone to my ipad using itunes. How can be that done? Please advise.

Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. Dont forget to check that all the transferred data is in the iTunes media folder so that the iTunes can locate the files. Link to Transcopy software :

  • Can you transfer your apps from your iPod to your iPhone

Can you transfer your apps from your ipod to your iphone

Follow the instructions here or here; using the first set of instructions then requires syncing the second device with the iTunes library containing the content.

  • Have iPod that about 8 years old. Want to transfer music from old iPod to new iPod.

My ipod is about 8 years. Want to transfer music fron old ipod to new one. Can that be done ?

    Hello try again
All your media should be in iTunes so you can sync using iTunes to get the music over. If you have any purchases from the iTunes Store you may transfer them to your iTunes library.
