If yes, and you already the PDF file on the server (i.e. have the physical files) then the easiest command to use is lp -- Google "man lp" for details.

It's perfectly possible, but will depend on where your data is and whether it's already a printer output file etc.
e.g. you could use the dbms_scheduler package to call a command line that sends the file directly to the printer device
However, the specifics of that will depend on your database version and your operating system, and what file you're trying to send.

Hi,
SAP does not provide the entire life cycle of L/C. we only maintain the L/c Details in SAP.
Thre is no standard that can give you the print. You may need to customise if needed.

I have a tricky requirement and i was not able to achieve, let me explain my requirement
I have created a PLSQL Concurrent Program named "Approval Update". This will do update and it display the number of rows updated.
Now i need to take this concurrent program output and it needs to be send it to the person who submits this program as an email using shell scripts.
I have referred meta link note as well as some OTN posts but I was not able to achieve this.
Please help me to complete this As soon as possible, Thanks in advance for your help.

 my report has line-size 205 czn i take print out of OUTPUT of this on A4 sheet on landscape.
 my second question is : - - what CIZ refer in SAP script i have seen it like
 &J_1IEXCHDR-EXBED(CIZ)& , , i think it use to truncate leading space.

1) yes, you can take print out on A4 paper in landscape format.
2) There are formatting options...
 C--> Space compression
 I --> Surpress output initial value
 Ex: &value& --> 0.00
 &value(I) --> empty space
 Z --> for omitting leading Zero

Passing flexfield from report wrapper to seeded report using shell script

I am unable to pass flexfield values from report wrapper to seeded report using shell script

Delete backup files using shell script

Hi Gurus,
I have to delete previous month backupfiles like sample.ttp-04-24-06 file from directory called 0424. Like that I need to delete the whole month files by using shell script.
Please I will run this script once in a month. So it will delete all previous month's backup files which are available in the date directory of that month(0401,0402,0403 etc).
Please help me out to solve this issue.

Unable to take print out of JPEG image of DMS Document

Hi Expert,
I have used below method to print document.
        CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>execute
          EXPORTING
            document = w_string
            operation = 'PRINT'.
I am able to take print out of all documents except JPEG.
Could any one help me out to do the same?

see three possibles solution:
First: Solution! (Hopefully) :Print label image in GIF format
But I also used two different solutions to distinct problems.
I used SE78 functions dynamically to print an image for SmartForm.
In another situation I used a DVS Repro solution from SEAL Systems.

Sql Loader by using shell script, not able to insert data

I am trying to dump the data by using shell script.(in shell script i am having sqlldr command)(its a host excutable method cocurrent program)
When i am loading the data, by placing my files(.ctl,.prog,.csv,symbolink file for .prog) in $Custom_top/bin, it is loading exactly. 17000 records inserted.
But if i am loading the data by placing my files in $custom_top/custom_folders. unable to insert total data. only 43 records inserting.

I have to take purchase order print out and I created 3 templates for that purchase order in layout designer (Because as per the MIS requirement I created 3 templates, its cover more information). I have to take print out 3 templates at a time. So i try to take print use with Query.

Also check iin the other way by adding the layout first n then giving the request.

Can any one tell me how to pick a message from a mail box using shell script.Grep for the message and then either cut or awk for the text. . . Something like this:
ls -al /mail/directory | grep "$1"* | awk '{print $9}'
Jon emmons has working samples in his book on Oracle shell scripting . . .
