Need to test something on Tiger

Hi all,
I have OSX installed on the Macbook but it has some issues with the wireless so I would like to try and run 10.4. Is it possible to connect my external HDD to the Macbook's USB and install 10.4 to it?
If so, how do I then boot in to 10.4?

This Mac used to be at my old address and worked well enough on my old router,
I suspect the router is the issue. My understanding is that the "standards" for 802.11a/b/g/n are always changing after initial release. So an 802.11g device from Apple that works well with an 802.11g router from Apple, might not work well with an 802.11g router from Brand -X if they have slightly different implementations of the 802.11g "standard".
Disk Utility Repair Permissions .. but I will if you think it will benefit.
It cannot hurt. I run Disk Utility Repair Permissions and Verify Disk once a week when I do my primary back up. Seems to be better at preventing problems than fixing them. Still, if one element of the wifi driver has the wrong permissions for some reason ... not likely, but there is no reason not to try it.
I may drop down to the Apple Shop and see if they can do a quick diagnostics for me...
Your MacBook has a credit card sized Airport Extreme card in it - under the battery, I think. It can be swapped out in seconds and it is not too too expensive. Do not buy a new Airport Card if your MacBook connects properly to the wifi network at the Apple store. If the MacBook works properly at the store but not at home, consider picking up a new Airport Base Station while you are there.

Do I need to configure something different,when I'm using SCXI-1000,1102 and 1180, together.?

I am wanting to use SCXI-1000 with 2 modules SCXI-1102, but I also want to access the DAQ (ni pci 6035), through the SCXI-1180, to access some Digital I/O. How can I do that? What cable type between the SCXI and DAQ (6035) do I need to use? Do I need to configure something different? When I only configure the SCXI-1000 and SCXI-1102, I use the cable with 68 pins in both extremities and I don't have problems. But when inserting SCXI-1180, a following error message it is generated:
"Dev1" digital lines 0, 1, 2 & 4 are in use by the connected SCXI subsystem.
It happens when observing DIGITAL I/O in Test Panel in M A X.

Thanks for the information! The examples sent me, were useful, but always I use Digital functions, just after I can't perform tests with SCXI, it doesn't respond, it becomes inactive until I reset Traditional NI-DAQ Devices.What can I do to have the VI attached running well? Can you help me?

Need to test an audio chat

Hi
Just got highspeed so am able to use ichat now and can connect fine to 3 family members in the same province (Ontario) as me but can't connect with a friend in Newfoundland. She is on highspeed also and she gets a "no response" message on her end and mine just keeps saying "connecting" but never does ... I am assuming it's her problem but don't know anyone else to try an audio chat with farther away then my family to see if it's my problem. Musicrose66 is my Aim handle if anyone would like to help see if I can audio chat with them.

Want to Test your iSight With Another Person? Any of these testers will test with you when they are available.
Note: The "Autoresponders" listed in the FAQ do not have audio test capabilities. Their audio is apparently a muxed video track, so, although you can get an audio connection, you will not

anything unless you have a camera and do a "Video" test. You will need to test with some of us humans to HEAR audio only. :-))
Also, your our system info shows that you are using Mac OS X (10.4). I suggest you apply the Mac OS X Update 10.4.2 Combo ASAP. The 10.4.2 Combo corrects several issues with previous versions of Tiger. I suggest using an update method like How I Update My Mac OS X.

What happens when you try to use the clone stamp tool?
It should work with the images side by side.
You can setup photoshop cc to be like photoshop cs2 was on your other mac, by going to Photoshop>Preferences>Interface and unchecking
Open Documents as Tabs and Enable Floating Document Window Docking
And also going to Window and unchecking Application Frame

Unless what you have to transfer is enormous, skip the external HD altogether and use a USB flash drive; you can get them with capacities to 128GB. Format the flash drive as FAT32 or ExFAT as LowLuster suggests so it can be read and written to on both PC's and your Mac.

There is an Apple USB super drive you can buy or any Mac compatible external DVD player.

Downgrading iOS is not supported by Apple. You may find workarounds on other web sites if you do a web search for such information, e.g. "downgrade iOS". You can links to Apple's direct downloads for iOS 4.1 here, among other places:

I would recommend trying the steps in the article below.
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

Once these steps are processed, attempt to accept the terms and conditions.
Also, you can make a purchase via the iTunes Store on the computer. This should allow you to bypass accepting the terms and conditions on the device.
