Need to turn off Find My Phone but can't log into iCloud?

Used a different email address when I first started using Apple. Can't remember the password and it says it's sent me the email but I haven't received anything, and says my answers don't match my security questions. Help?? I need to turn off Find My Iphone to do a restore

Contact Apple (1-800-myapple) and ask for AppleID account security

  • I need to turn off "Find MY IPhone" but can't activate my old broken phone or access it on ICloud.

Any suggestions? I am returning my phone to Verizon Insurance group and they will charge me $500 if I cannot turn it off.

Why can't you access it on iCloud. If Find My iPhone is turned on, then you should be able to access the device.

    Hi newquaysimon,
Unless you have the Apple ID and password used to set up this iPhone, you may need to contact the original owner to turn off Find My iPhone/Activation Lock. You may find the following articles helpful:

  • Need to turn off Find My Phone.

I installed 7.0.6 on my 4S yesterday and today my screen is not responding. I've tried syncing the phone to iTunes and everything backs up; however, when I click restore I receive a message stating that I have to turn off Find My Phone before I can proceed. Since I cannot get into my phone (except via Siri) I tried to log in through the iCloud website/iTunes and delete the app from the phone but that didn't work. I also noticed that the phone thinks that I have headphones connected when I do not.
Currently I can reset the phone but I cannot turn it off, I can access the iCloud settings on the phone via Siri but I can't scroll to turn off Find My Phone.
I'm not sure how to proceed from here but any help is appreciated.

You can access iCloud.com on a computer to turn it off.

  • Restoring phone, need to switch off Find My iphone, but can't access phone

Whilst updating IOS7 my phone crashed.  I reset it and successfully managed to restore to backup.  Everything was working fine until it asked for a passcode.  I entered the last passcode I was using but it won't accept it.  I've tried to restore again however iTunes is telling me that Find my iPhone needs to be switched off before it will do the restore, and this is done via the settings on the phone - which I can't access because I don't know the passcode.

The Find My iPhone app has nothing to do with this. Deleting the Find My iPhone app which is used to find another iOS device or Mac computer you own or for someone else to find their iPhone or iOS device with your iPhone does not turn off Find My iPhone with your iCloud account settings on your iPhone.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.

  • Need help turning off find my phone

I Purchased an iphone4 from a couple and later found out that in order to install apps that I need their account password. I texted them and they said they didn't remember it. They said to contact apple and give them the info they used when they purchased and registered the phone. They gave me the info but where/how do I use the info to turn it off so I can delete the account. I have the phone activated and  am using it but want certain apps and want to add my music library but can't. Thanks in advance for your help

You will not be able to use this iPhone if you don't get them to sign out of their Apple ID with the appropriate Password.  If they forgot their Apple ID and Password they can go online and correct things but they will need to answer their Security Questions and also may need to receive information on their Recovery email Address.  This can all be done relatively quickly, but they will need to cooperate.

  • How do I reactivate the Icloud screen without the password, need to turn off "find my phone" to unlock it

I need to unlock my Iphone4 to change the SIM for roaming, provider has ok"d and activated it with APPLE, I need to find a way to unlock the "Find My Phone  feature in Icloud,, The user name and password I used for Icloud have long been forgotten (have tried many combinations) to no avail, my recently reset ITunes user name and password works for all other apps but not Icloud, I therefore am unable to deactivate the lock on the phone, when trying to completely delete Icloud it still is asking for the old unknown password. can anyone help please or should I scrap the phone and by another brand!!!
I would also like to find a way to delete all my photos from Albums, another draw back with IPhones.

    You have multiple AppleIDs?
Did you try the AppleID & password you use to login/post here?

Just delete them from the album.
What is a drawback? That you can delete items from albums?
