Need to unlock account

Hi, I tried to make an account a while back but I messed it up I guess because now it's locked.
I tried calling to get it unlocked, but I was told I could not do that because I have a prepaid account and have not paid for this month yet.
However, I'm getting a new phone and I just want to switch numbers, so I don't want to pay for two phone bills.
Is there any way I can unlock my account or switch numbers without an account?

If you are setting up a new account, you can just register as a new line. To have your existing account unlocked, you can call our prepay team at 888-294-6804.

Do I need to unlock my phone to use Consumer Cellular?

I bought a used Iphone 3GS that was an AT&T phone and I was planning to use it with Consumer Cellular who said that I wouldn't need to unlock the phone to use their service. When the phone arrived it worked fine, I didn't have to go through any activation, it just went straight to the home screen. After inserting a SIM card and calling to activate it, the phone continued to work and I was able to text/make calls. Then it said it needed to be updated so I plugged it into itunes and let it be; when I checked on it it had restored itself and now I can no longer get into the phone. All I get is the activating phone screen and it won't recognize my SIM anymore. I bought a new SIM to see if that was the problem..still won't work. Why would it work one minute than just stop? Does this mean that I do infact have to unlock the phone to use it with my new service??

The used iPhone you purchased was apparently jailbroken to unlock it, and restoring iOS removed that jailbreak and your iPhone locked back to AT&T. Only AT&T can unlock it, assuming that the jailbreak hasn't rendered that now impossible as can happen. Here are AT&T's official requirements and procedure for unlocking an iPhone:

The person requesting the unlock must be one of the following:
• a current AT&T customer

Family member passed away. Need to unlock, iPhone, iPad mini, Macbook Air

My Grandad recently passed away and has left me with an iPad mini - Wifi only, iPhone 4s and a Macbook Air 13 inch. All of which are passcoded and locked to his e-mail account. However no one in our family knows his password.
Of course I'm sure people use this story all the time when this have been stolen - So I'm just looking for some help.
If I need to go to an Apple store with the death certificate I am more than happy to do that, I have the serial numbers of the macbook and iPad I took a photo of the box before I threw them out.
With the iPad I have reset the factory settings except it still wants me to sign in the with original Apple ID - being my Granddads e-mail and password. But as I said I don't know these.
If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

It sounds like you are needing to unlock this iPad but the passcode is unknown. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. According to the following article you should use recovery mode to restore the iPad and be able to use it. The caveat to this is that it will delete all the data on the iPad.

Use recovery mode
Follow these steps if you never synced your device with iTunes, if you don't have Find My iPhone set up, or if you can't get to your own computer. You'll need to put your device in recovery mode, which will erase the device and its passcode. Then you'll restore your device as new or from a backup.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
Turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button. While holding the Home button, connect your device to iTunes. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
Click OK, then restore the device.

GRC Unlock Account - BUG ?

Hi All,
This is regarding an issue we found in our GRC system.
A UserID has been locked in ECC system sometime back.
For example: Valid From - 01-Jan-2014 and Valid To - 05-Jan-2014
UserID is in locked state and validity dates are as mentioned above.
Now User wants this account to be unlocked and raising a GRC Unlock Request.
User is selecting the system during Unlock Account creation and system is added with validity dates as shown below.
Valid From - Today's date
Valid To - 05-Jan-2014 [Existing UserID Valid To date in ECC system]
According to me validity dates for the system should be added as shown below
Valid From - Today's date
Valid To - 31.12.9999
Is this a bug? or Is this the standard behaviour? I hope this would be issue for most of the customers.
Please provide your suggestions on this.

Thanks for your inputs.
Actually the issue is, the same unlock process is working with VALID TO date as 31.12.9999 in GRC 5.3.
Now after upgrading to GRC 10.0, this was changed. Hence users are raising it as a concern.
I understand that system cannot recognize VALID TO date as it can be any date depending on customer requirement, but since it was working in 5.3 client is expecting the same in 10.0
While raising termination requests they are updating valid To date to the same day and submitting the requests.
For the terminated users, later if they need access again, Unlock account request is being raised and here they are not selecting any VALID TO date as it was updating with 31.12.9999 Valid To date in GRC 5.3 and now it is updating with VALID TO date based on SU01 record.
We raised this to SAP and I assume that this could be desired behavior as mentioned by you. Once SAP also confirms we will include this in our training material to make users used to it.
If there was any update from SAP will keep you posted.

Has anyone implemented request type for unlock account type without psw verification for LDAP authentication..but it still limits the user to only be able to unlock themselves, not anyone else?
I think Password self service should have included automatic unlocking of the userid as well..since most PSS requests are when the userid is locked in a system due to incorrect logons..so the unlocking request shouldn't have been separate from PSS.. It's a two step process to do currently..the user has to first do an unlock id request and then do a PSS to reset their psw.
But for those clients that are authenticating GRC system against a SAP system, there's no workaround to not require SAP id and psw ..but how can the user tell you the psw when they're locked out of that system to begin with..due to incorrect logon. SAP has no solution for it. They do need to come up with a solution for that and also automatically unlock the userid for PSS processes instead of having them go thru another request to unlock it.
Would greatly appreciate other ppl's feedback who have implemented PSS and unlock requests with LDAP authentication without psw verification.. otherwise, I would think anyone can unlock anyone without psw verification. The unlock request in order to automate the option to only unlock yourself but still be able to process requests of change or new account for others, is not available. It's either all or nothing in configuration.

EUP Personalizaion - Delete/Lock/Unlock account

Hi,
I have followed a couple of links herein over EUP personalization, but didn't find the solutions on one scenario:
If I am going to raise the request for Delete/Lock/Unlock account then there is no need to have the tabs: Risk violation and custom tabs as enabled. So, is there any way to make these tabs disabled/invisible.
Would appreciate quick and positive response.

I doubt if you understood my question.
My concern is with restricting the tabs: Risk analysis and Custom tabs while raising the request for Delete..lock..unlock account.
I am aware of the procedures to follow through for making risk-analysis-criteria as visible/non-editable or so.. But that is not which I need to get clarifications on.
I tried to make the template based request where I don't find any option to make the tabs (risk analysis and custom) to make invisible once you are raising request for delete/lock/unlock account. As these tabs are irrelevant for such request types.

Verizon will not unlock an iPhone 4S for use on a foreign carrier UNLESS it is currently active on a Verizon account.
I assume your friend is a Verizon customer who gave you his iPhone 4S? You should send the phone back to him/her, they can activate it on their account and get it unlocked. He/she can then re-activate their phone back on their account and send the iPhone back to you. You would then be able to use the device on a carrier in your country.
If you are unwilling/unable to do this, your best bet would be to sell the device(on ebay for example) to someone who would be able to use it.

Do my husband and I need separate itunes accounts to correctly sync our iphones?

We have been using the same itunes/apple id to sync and backup our iphones without any problems. Today was my first problem with helping my husband set up his new iphone 4s. An AT&T salesperson said we needed our own accounts. Anyone know if that is true? AT&T transfered my husband's contacts to his new phone but I'm afraid to plug it into the computer because earlier today I ended up putting all of my contacts on his phone and couldn't find his.

It probably means that only one of you can use iCloud or at least sync calender/contacts with it. I would guess that you could manually manage the other phone as you have before.

So.. You need to contact the carrier for the iPhone's original sim card, and request they unlock it. The carrier is the only one that can unlock the sim of the iPhone.
