Need to zoom out to see clips in organiser monitor

Hi
I'm working on a project with settings at PAL AVCHD HD1080i 25. When I put a clip on the timeline, it is much too big for the monitor panel. Is there a way to zoom out within the monitor panel so that the whole frame can be seen please?

Yes. Right-click and select Magnification> Fit

  • Zooming out during a clip

    Me again.
I've shot a video using an autocue and because of this i was unable to zoom out during filming. Using premiere pro how can I can give the effect I'm panning out of the shot to reveal what is on the subjects desk?
    Thanks
    A

    Select the clip
Go into the effects tab and select motion
There you will be able to scale and move the clip around
But that will only work if there is more of the clip to reveal when you scale it down or move it. That's unlikely in most cases, so animating motion will only reveal black around the image when you downscale or move it. You'll probably need to re-shoot the footage and zoom out if possible.

  • PrE 9, zoom out of a clip?

im making a video and i want to make the clip start zoomed in, and as it progresses, to zoom out. i know of the zoom out effect, but that remains the same for the entire clip (no motion). i have a transition on it already, so i can't use the zoom transition. are there any other methods to do this on PrE 9?

Because of the power of Keyframing (not only can you Keyframe the Fixed Effects>Motion>Position and Motion>Scale, but also many other Effects, that you would wish to add), every moment spent learning the ins & outs of Keyframing will pay dividends. Steve does one of the best jobs of explaining Keyframing, that I have seen.
Also, initially it will seem like a lot of work, but it gets easier, and easier, and the "power" of Keyframing can be "intoxicating!"
    Good luck, and happy Keyframing,

  • How to zoom out to see entire project?

I can't zoom out far enough using the zoom slider to see the entire project.
Anyone know of a way I can do it?

Thanks for your help, it's a shame that there's no Overview view to see the whole project.

  • Set scale values when zoom out

    Hi!
I have a XY Graph and I want it to have three different scale ranges depending on a case structure. So, for example, if it's case 1, I have the xy graph X.minimum = 1,234 and xy graph X.maximum = 10,789 and so on.
I want to be able to zoom the graph but then when I zoom out to see all the points, I want it to have the same range I defined. I have the autoscale turned off and when I do the zoom out, it shows me different minumum and maximum values....
    Any help?

    Hello Zephirus,
When you ask a zoom out, write the scale value that you define, using a property node. To get it, right click on the XY graphe terminal, in the diagram, then select Create >> Property node >> X (or Y) Scale >> Range then All elements, or just the elements you need to coerce.
    Let me know you progression,

  • Slow screen redraw when I click playhead and zoom out

The arrange mode is slow to redraw when I click the playhead and zoom out. The slider thingy at the bottom of the screen works totally fast like normal. I just upgraded to Logic 9. Might this be a known problem or is it coincidental? Any tips?

    Thanks for your reply.
I am using Logic 9.1.1. on Snow Leopard. Upon installing Logic 9 recently, I noticed that the seemless screen redraws ( from extreme close up to extreme zoom out) takes over five separate attempts. it's like there's only so much video power to do it one shot like I used to.
To be clear, let's say I'm very zoomed into a region editing an vocal comp track. Then I want to zoom out to see the whole project from start to finish. I click the playhead in the global tracks area. Then I push up and it shrinks the project to fit the screen. The problem is that it only goes so far before I have to release the mouse where it is and then try another run at it.
    Here's a self-answer:
My feeling is that Logic has made it a more exacting science of how to manipulate the zoom in and out with the playhead. I actually feel it's faster now, you just have to stay within certain limits and not take your mouse and go too far up into the shorcuts area like I was used to in Logic 8. You have to stay within the global tracks area and your horizontal movements will be very fast actually and very smooth.
    Happy music making

  • Zooming in and then zooming out in AS2 (Without scaling the image)

Basically I want to know if there is a way to go from a zoomed in version of something, and then seeing the whole image in another frame. (By pressing a button)
Let's say there's a tree, I would bascially like (upon pressing a button which I can do) to zoom out and see the whole scenery. Is there a way I can do this without actually changing the size of the image?

There are various components already made on the internet such as v-cam, you can basically control the stage/view, scaling the v-cam keeps the objects on the stage the same, but scales the camera.
Check this out, it has links to both an as2 and an as3 version.http://www.fluidanims.com/FAelite/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=3369

  • Zooming Out- Panning to Centre Problem

Is there a way to zoom out without being panned towards the centre? I'm working on the corner of an image and occasionally zoom out to see it in context but the view flies towards the centre so I have to pan back again.

Yeah that's hard to do and frustrating in photoshop elements.
(in the full version of photoshop it's much easier by using the bird's eye view)
It depends on how big you want to see the image when zoomed out but the navigator might do.
    (Window>Navigator)
Or you could create a new view of your image (Window>Images>New Window) and either have it stay on top by making your zoomed in image a tab and the new window a floating document
or switch to the zoomed out image and back using Ctrl+Tab.
Whatever you do to one image will show on the other.
In case none of the above works in your version, what version of elements and operating system?

  • In and Out points not showing in source monitor

I've noticed this in the past couple of days: setting in and out points in the source monitor, the indicators don't show in the time ruler.  In other words, even though I set the in and out points, it looks like nothing has been selected.
If I put the clip into the timeline, the in and out points I chose are respected, but they just don't seem to register in the source monitor, so I can't have confidence in what I have selected.
If I open another clip in the source monitor, then go back to the one I was working on, magically the in and out points are there again.  Strange...
At the same time, if I apply audio gain to a clip in the source monitor, it sometimes doesn't "take".  It shows that gain has been added, but there is no change in the sound volume when I play it back in the source monitor.  Again, if I put the clip in the timeline, the volume is as it should be and the waveform reflects this.
So, is there some underlying bug affecting how clips are dealt with in the source monitor?
I'm on the latest version of Premiere CC 7.2.1 on Windows 8

Thanks for these suggestions.  I'll try and answer each one:
Is the Source Monitor zoomed out to show the whole clip? If not, please zoom out to see if the In/Out points are getting painted in the wrong place initially.
    Yes, it is zoomed out.
Do the clips have non-zero start timecode? If so, please try with a clip with zero-based timecode. (If you don't have one handy, you can create one fairly easily by exporting a sequence with start TC of 0;00)
The problem is intermittent and in this project all the clips are DSLR .mov files.  The problem occurs with some of these and not others.
Have you done anything like setting a custom start timecode or interpreting footage to change the frame rate?
I haven't set a custom timecode.  It's true that there is a mix of 24p and 25p clips in the project, but surely this only presents issues in the timeline rather than the source monitor?  In any case, I haven't gone to interpret footage on these clips.
Is this happening with all types of project items, including simple clips on disc, or only with certain items like merged clips, multicam sequences, subclips...?
In this project, the only type of clip I'm using is simple clips.  There are nested sequences; I'm not sure, but possibly the problem has also presented itself when these are brought into the source monitor - but not exclusively with those.
I hope this helps.  This is the first project I have worked on since the latest upgrade and I didn't come across this problem before.  As I say, it is intermittent, and it's hardly crippling - just annoying when it happens!
    Thanks

  • Cutting clips-zoom out-.wav exports

    Hi,
When I cut a cilp from the timeline in Soundtrack Pro, apart from selecting all clips in the timeline individually or by name, is there not a way to make all the clips move to the left to fill the gap left by the clip being cut (as in FCP - delete) or in Sadie?
Also, I can't zoom right out to see the whole sequence in the timeline. My project is an hour and a half long, but my timeline view is restricted fully zoomed out to what's in the blue box in the Global timeline view right? Is there any way of making this bigger so my project is just contained within the timeline?
Finally, is there any way of exporting a .wav file instead of .aiff? At the moment I have to convert it from quicktime as Compressor doesn't seem to do it either.
    Many thanks,

    Thanks for the reply...
    1. cut a clip - sounds like you mean "ripple delete"
That's right - strange thing is it doesn't seem to work with me! If I hit delete, it just takes out the selected section, and doesn't move everything in the timeline up to fill the gap.
    2. the zoom tool is a slider that is found at the
bottom of the screen, slightly left. Works the same
way as in FCP. You may have to slide it all the way
to the left, then back all the way to the right
My project's an hour long, and this doesn't do the trick unfortunately. It's still only showing a fraction of the project. The keyboard shortcut's (shift Z -fit sequence to window) is supposedly the same as in FCP but it doesn't show me the whole sequence in the timeline. There's no way is there of increasing the size of the blue rectangle in the Global Time View to show the whole of the sequence?
    3. STP isnt designed to export to multiple formats (a
    feature request for sure).
Compressor, and all other creative type apps, all
work off of Quicktime, its foundation technology for
    the whole OS.
    HTH
Oh well.. I'll have to do it the long way for now.
    Cheers,

Is there a way to increase the icon size (and the text below) without using zoom in iOS 7?  I am trying to help out someone who has moderate visual impairment that does not want to use zoom just to see the icons and their labels.

    Hello Apple.
It seems you have gone to great lengths to improve accessibility in many areas of the iPad. Why was this obvious problem with icon text size missed?  (It's not with the Mac.). And for so long too.
Do you employ people with actual accessibility problems to help you do UI design?
I think too, that some buttons are too close for people who might have motor control problems.
I love my iPad but I fear as I age, the iPad might not keep up with me.

  • Help Needed in Zooming and Zooming Out Images in flex

    Hi
I am using <mx:Zoom /> component to zoom an image!
I am able to zoom and Zoom out the Images but when I zoomIn the Image is cropping!
Can any one give me the link or code for best zoomin and  zoomOut for Images?
Is there any way that I can Zoom Video in flex?
    Thanks n Regards

Probably the simplest solution is to use password-based encryption (PBE). See http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/security/CryptoSpec.html#PBEEx
    for an example.

  • The top bar changed when I downloaded firefox 5.o how do I get it to look like the old style? It also makes all my pages really zoomed out so I have to zoom in to see them.

The new menu bar is all boxy looking and I want the old style back that looked like this http://images.six.betanews.com/screenshots/1100800989-1.png
Also every time I visit a new page it makes it really small so that I have to zoom in to see it which is annoying because before I downloaded 5.0 it was fine.
My computer is a toshiba laptop and I am using windows vista.

Your original had tabs on top, the current one does not. Also I note a dark background, is that some none default theme or persona, or a side effect of system display changes ?
I have noted others comment about pages needing zooming, no idea why that happens on some sytems, possibly something to do with the font changes.
I do not notice much difference between versions screenshot attached Firefox 4 and Firefox 6.0a2 open adjacent to each other.
