I have the book for Dreamweaver 8, and i needed the cd rom
for the tutorials so i can follow the book examples. Is there
anyone who could help me out or point me in the right direction.

Hello! I am Designer with zero knowledge of coding, but have been setting up many wordpress and phpBB sites based on tutorials.
I can design a website failry well with CS6 tools. But cant get the hang of making 'responsive' websites. (I know that I should learn a bit of coding, but, honestly, it just doesnt get into my head unless I take structured classes.)
Can anyone point me to a simple step by step guide to crafting a responsive layout? Preferably written (not video).
(By the way: Love the new Adobe website look.)

Building modern web sites without a fundamental knowledge of code is like trying to drive a car blindfolded. You may reach your destination but you'll break things (many things) along the way.
CS6 Fluid Grid Layouts require a working knowledge of HTML, CSS & Media Queries because you will need to manually tweak the code. Fluid Grids are a quick start; not a quick solution.

Need Tutorials for Hyperion planning

Hi EPM Guru's,
I installed EPM 11.1.1.3 version in my laptop and i am comfortable in creating Cubes and all other stuff from Essbase.
I am thinking of learning Planning. So can any one help me how to use Workspace and create Planning applications ..
I already did the tutorials that were published by oracle in the otn.oracle.com.
Apart from those tutorails can any one help me with some other tutorials...

Is separate graphics card needed for Dreamweaver CS4?

My PC (an HP Pavilion a1120n) meets the stated system
requirements for Dreamweaver CS4, except that it has integrated
graphics (max of 128MB) instead of a separate video card. I can
easily upgrade to 4MB of RAM. Could anyone please tell me whether
Dreamweaver will run on my machine, or whether I need to invest in
a new PC. A potential free-lance job rides on this question. Many

To be honest, all you really need is a crappy old computer
and Notepad.
I'll admit that this may be a really bare-bones way to start,
though.
In my opinion, the best was would be to get the Adobe
Creative Suite 4 Web
Premium package. It is a pricey bird, though ($1,699 domestic
for a full
copy - not upgrade). I'm assuming you want to stick with
Dreamweaver.

where I can download some free addtional behaviors for Dreamweaver

Where can I get tutorials for DW CC 2014.1.1 ?

I have used Dreamweaver since Macromedia owned it but over the last two years I have not used it as much as I should have and there has been a lot of changes to the Layout and Features.
I have just downloaded DW CC 2014.1.1 and I need tutorials to get familiar with the Layout and Features but every video tutorial and written tutorial I have a look at doesn't cater for CC 2014.1.1 and seems to be for DW CC previous versions.
Can anyone help me with finding good DW CC 2014.1.1 tutorials?

Patch for Dreamweaver CS5 or 6 from Poodle Vulnerability

GoDaddy ran a security patch for Poodle and now Dreamweaver can't connect. FTP over SSL/TLS explicit encryption is used. Is there a patch from Adobe for Dreamweaver?

The perpetual license of CS6 is essentially Adobe's response to those folks who absolutely refuse to switch to the Creative Cloud Subscription plans. It's actually 3 versions (4 if you count Cloud CS6) removed from "current". Even though it's still available for purchase, it hasn't been receiving any updates and is getting further and further behind DWCC as time goes by.

I need help with Dreamweaver.

I had purchased Dreamweaver CS5-5 version 11.5 last year for my Mac X 10.8.3. Working on several web pages did just fine. I did not use Dreamweaver for the last 4 months. I do pro bono for four sites and they had not given me changes until yesterday - 05/07/13. So I opened Dreanweaver and loaded what I thought was the current pages to the web site I wanted to work on. Surprise!!! What uploaded on Weaver was old pages of the same site I did several years ago. The current pages were not there. They are current on the internet.
I have chased all over Adobe, the internet, reloaded Dreamweaver, tried to download from the internet the current pages through FTP to no avail. I find it extremely difficult to find someone at Adobe - a real person in the USA that speaks English - to help me out. I was shoved from one place to another. I finally got a real person in the last hour but he was from India. He wanted to take control of my computer. This was not to be done. I had PC's for 20 years. A Phillipino took over my PC in 2011 to correct some problems and froze my hard drive. The computer was trash after that. This is why I have a Mac.
All I want to do is to make some changes to the current web sites I am the web master for. I spent over $300.00 for Dreamweaver and it should not be doing this.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am at a point that I thinking about dropping Dreamweaver. I feel that I should not go through all this.
I do not understand Dreamweaver as much as you do. Being that now I do not work with it frequently.
I just know it was simpler before.
On first using Dreamweaver I just downloaded it from the CD and went about my business. As stated this was up until four months ago.
For the amount paid for this software I should not have all of these problems. I should have bee able to do my work as before.
I am the type that needs everything written to understand what to do. In college I took tech writing. That taught me to explain everything in detail.
A lot of the software instructions could be better written. Just a rant on my part. (I find this in many assembly instructions)
I have not done your latest yet. I will try if I can understand what you suggest.
At this time I really don't want to do anything.

It's been a long time since I've been here. Hope life is treating you well.
Tried a lot of other DW extensions in the mean time
None of them match the robustness of ADDT
Most are buggy, one shot ponies that miss the bigger picture of providing integrated tools for development. All I've tried are a closed shop of functions and variables that you have to navigate by hand if you want any sort of amended functionality - on the whole a pretty poor lot.
And, I've looked at many of the off the shelf offerings that Adobe had told us that are clients wanted rather than bespoke solutions.
And no, most don't want them - they still just want concise tools/interfaces that are easy to learn, use and do what THEY want them to do. Not behemoth collections of options, bells an whistles. Naturally some do and I'm happy to oblige (who wants to write a forum from scratch!). So its not clear cut either way as seemed to be implied a year or so ago.
Yes, it would be nice just to have the toolkit useable from CS5
- but as ever, the end users are out of the picture. Maybe there will be a new version, or completely new tools - that would be most welcome.
We still need good data tools. Integration with databases (none of my clients want to pull data from HTML tables - no matter how clever that is) and
CSS Style frameworks that take the grind out of positioning and styling every little item.
Gadgets and Gizmos - YUI3 looks like the one with the most backing - judging from YUI2 - have to keep and eye on that.
Let's hope Adobe have finally put back some functionality for php mysql developers with CS5
and the the wilderness that DW has been in for the last couple of years grows some strong roots

Need help for reporting

Hope I did not post to the wrong place. but I really need help here. I've been using Crystal Report all these while before I tried out java. However, there is a problem here.
I've been doing some complex reports that comes with subreports and grabing values from the program. but there is no one program that i found can really support the reporting in java. I've even tried the crystal clear and Jbuilder enterprise trial version (which comes with crystal report). but I still can't get the output that I want.
So, I'm here to ask :
1. what sort of reporting system r u using that is recommended?
2. And if I were to continue supporting crystal report where can I get a better component that supports crystal report ?
3. And where can I get tutorials for java integration with crystal reports?

Also check out i-text. It's an open source Java -> PDF tool. You will need to write a mapper to go from JDBC ResultSet to your own custom Java class. Otherwise, it is almost like writing HTML programatically.
