- I Have A Motherboard Model- PM8M-V (MS-7104 Ver: 1.00) . Bios Version : 2.4B3 (Just Updated- 10/07/2009) . This Mainboard Chipsets are VT8237 + P4M800 . It has Two SATA Ports . But The SATA Ports are Controlled By Southbridge . So, SATA Ports are Not Detecting SATA2(3.0 GB/S) Hard Drive or Device . It Is Only Detecting SATA1 (1.5 GB/S) Hard Drive . At This Moment -
I am Expecting From You an Updater of SouthBridge Controll For This Model, So that- My SATA Can Detect SATA2 Device .

Hello Night Eagle,
the PM8M-V has a VIA VT8237R Southbridge. This chipset natively only supports SATA I. It is impossible to add SATA II Support unless you change the whole chipset. And that is something nobody will (or can) do for you. The lack of SATA II Support is a hardware/chipset limitation, not a BIOS/Firmware question. You cannot add support for something on the BIOS Level which is not there in the first place.
Let's face it: Your board is rather outdated. If you want to use SATA II drives with it, you have to force the hard drives into SATA I compatibility mode (check for jumpers on the hard drives and if there are none, go to the manufacturer's site and download the proper service tool to access the firmware switches).
There is nothing else that can be done about this.

Satellite Pro L300 -software-service says I need update for graphics driver

I downloaded the DesignByMe software from http://designbyme.lego.com/en-us/default.aspx
The installation run without problems, but when I want to start the program it restarts over and over again. The picture doesnt load fully, instead there are black spots. I cant click on anything nor close to programm .I thought maybe the installing process didnot finish properly so I downloaded the software again but the problem is still the same. Im using a new Satellite Pro L300 28w with Windows 7 and Mozilla Firefox 3.6
I contacted the lego support and they answered: "You most likely need to update your graphics driver. Please contact your computer manufacturers customer service or website for a free upgrade"
Is this likely and if so which upgrad edo I need?

I dont know if updating your display driver can solve this problem but if the manufacture of the software says that its worth a try!!! ;)
The update is pretty easy: Firstly download the latest version here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com => Support & Downloads => Download Drivers
If you have downloaded the latest version, remove the old one firstly. Check the software list in control panel and follow the screen instructions. I assume you have to make one restart and after this you can install the downloaded version.

Can someone save an imessage somehow? Especially if it is a kind should be reported to the police? If not this would be a much needed update for the future.

I had to report an shady Imessage to the police. I tryed to find a way to save or send it for evidence when when needed. there doesn't seem to be a way. I was able to save the photo this nut sent me. You've heard a picture is whorth a thousand words. The photo was a hand holding a pistol with their hand on the triger. they spoke in launage I could not translate. I tryed to translate it in google traslate and wouldn't work. I have PSD. my younger sister was shot to death with a handgun back in 1987. So this kind of photo said something to me and it was very frightening to me. I reported it to the police. In future updates I would to Apple create a way to save an imessage for matters such as these. Thank you very much.

Already exists.
You can easily take a screenshot of the Messages screen.
Hold down the home button and briefly tap the on/off switch. That will save an image with exactly what you can see on the screen into your Camera Roll.

XPI installer needs updating for 10.1

In the past I've followed these excellent instructions to install the flash plugin into firefox as a non-admin user on Windows XP/sp3, however the flashplayer-win.xpi currently located there is a tad old (10.0.32.18)
Could someone update the XPI installer (the only one possible for many people) to 10.1?

I have never used this method; in fact I have never heard of it. I just run the Flash Player installer, and everything works.
However, reading through these instructions I see that you apparently need flashplayer.xpt and NPSWF32.dll; both of which are placed into the %WINDIR%\system32\Macromed\Flash folder during the 10.1 plugin installation.
Does that help your cause?

Download Opera Mobile 12 from Nokia Store. It's much faster in most situations. I think there won't be any major updates any more for the built-in browser of Belle FP2.

24'' iMac (White) Nvidia drivers need updated for games

I have the Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT 256MB graphics card in my iMac. Apparently the GeForce 7 series drivers for Mac are really buggy, so some developers have blocked access to the games.
First is Steam, which recently came out with a Mac version. I was excited to play Half-Life 2 and Portal on my Mac instead of having to use Boot Camp, until I saw that they don't support my graphics card.
Next is Starcraft II. I was lucky enough to get invited for the beta testing, but like the Steam games, Starcraft II is not allowed for the Macs with the GeForce 7 series. Once again, I had to use Boot Camp instead.
Obviously, my graphics card can handle these games, because I can easily play them in Boot Camp.
How can we get Nvidia to update the drivers so that we can play games in Mac OS X?

Need update for Safari 1.3.2 for iMac G5 running Version 10.3.9

I have a newer version of Safari on my powerbook at home that I like, and wanted to upgrade to a newer version of Safari at my work computer too. There doesn't appear to be an ability to "update" or "Check for updates" on my current version of Safari.
I'm current using Safari 1.3.2 (v312.6) on my G5 with Version 10.3.9 .

You have the most current release for your OS. To use a newer version would require you update to Tiger or Leopard OS.

Final Cut Express Needs Update for MBP

Well the lovely people at the Apple store sold me Final Cut Express for my MBP and I'm getting the AGP error... finding out I'm not alone helps somewhat. Peter, that's actually a poor comment - as a customer of one of the more pricy brands, how much work do you have to invest to get basic Wall Mart style service? On apple.com they actually tell us how much faster Final Cut works on intel, so how much homework is required to find out it doesn't even run on it, yet? I bought my MacBook Pro expressly to let this application run on it - and my provider remembered the incompatibility immediately after I came back into the store, mumbling about AGP and stuff - look: I just want to edit films - not open source files and type things in there (and then FCE actually runs slower than on G4, as an aside). Your comment is wrong.

IPhone 3G needing update for iTunes

When I connect my iPhone 3g to my MacBook it tells me I need to update my version of iTunes on my phone. I've tried this and am unsuccessful. What do I need to do to correct this? Please help!

How about it? Seldom used shuffle. Working great in past. Starting to use again only I now have Windows 7 and it is not recognized by computer. I-Tunes however sees it when I reload it from my music library.
