Need video connection with daughter in Europe

My daughter is off for a college Semester Abroad - would love to talk and see each other with iChat - I have a wonderful Mac, she's stuck with her PC labtop.
Any suggestions for us? I read the threads, ideas include iChat and/or Skype??
Not very computer savvy, so need "basic" easy to do!!!

I have been trying to hook up an exchange student at our school with her family in Norway. So far, iChat has been a nightmare in the PC-Mac communication for us without all kinds of adjustments on both ends. We both downloaded Skype and we were seeing and talking to each other in less than 10 minutes (no kidding!). The picture quality I got was a little less than what I had on iChat, but that was my only loss. So far, everything has been great with no dropped calls, no computer adjustments, just communication. This is my suggestion for you if you want something easy. Just check the Skype site for minimum requirements for both computers.

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I am having e rec standalone system and a SAP HR system , Presently portal is connected with SAP HR system, I need to connect the portal to E rec server as well . Our Basis team did the SLD and SSO configuration , and portal system object also have been created to point the portal with Stand alone system . still i can not connect to e rec system with the portal.
Can any help with the java connector component name for e rec stand alone system with HR system , if jico is the solution for this issue.Else Please advice me any other solution -

Jco is for Java components. E-recruiting does not use Java Web Dynpro, but rather BSP and ABAP WD.
You link the systems via RFCs:

But your original post(s) were not so clear.
So if your original phone WAS locked and the LOCKED one got replaced from the APPLE store...then there is a 100% chance it IS locked.

No video connection with iChat AV

Hi everyone,
The same as many people here I've had a long standing problem getting iChatAV to connect to video chats.
When trying to connect I receive the following error:
"There was a communication error during your chat"
Also says I failed to respond
I've been through the threads a million times and tried many of the suggestions from the legendary Ralph but nothing has worked. This setup used to work perfectly once, then something changed. I've attempted to solve this in the past then given up - but now my wife and I are due a baby and are desperately wanting to get it working again so we can stay in touch with her parents in Australia.

No Matter. Port forward (NAPT) as many port as you can to the IP the Airport has (you can see this on the Speedtouch pages) You can in fact set the DHCP Lease time to Infinity on this device (Saves going Static to the Airport and having to set the Airport up further)
Leave the Airport device Distributing Addresses (DHCP) to your computer.
LATE EDIT: Just remembered you need to download the Installer or have access to the Original CD for the Installer to Navigate to the downloaded file on your hard drive.

Cannot make a video connection with non-mac users (AIM Triton)

Whenever me and my girlfriend try to start a video chat, we get error messages on both ends. i know everything is up to date because i can chat fine with other mac users, but whenever i try to chat with someone who is using AIM Triton i cna never make a connection, even though iChat says i should be able to.
Which side dost the problem lie?
Answerer gets a cookie, haha, i've literally tried enough to get this fixed

iChat does it's video streaming through Quicktime (I believe), it's why one way to solve a connection problem is to try this:
System Preferences>Quicktime>Streaming - set streaming speed to 1.5Mbps
Also make sure Bandwidth limit is set to None in iChat>Preferences>Video.
Restart iChat after making the changes.
It's a good idea, if you can, to post an error log (down as far as where the binary images start) & give as much info as you can as to your connection to the internet (make & model of modem/router etc).

Need video capture with overlay

I am looking for a video capture card or camera that I can use to capture video of a sample under test. Labview would be controlling the test and I would need to have the test parameters displayed as a text overlay on the captured video in real time.
What sort of capture device can I start/stop with Labview and also insert a text overlay as frames are captured? I would also prefer the frames to be built into some standard video format like AVI as they are captured.
I don't need to do any "vision" processing on the video. I just want to capture and save. I would like to capture using a firewire megapixel camera for higher resolution if possible.

From what I understand, you are looking for these hardware and software
capabilities:
- Use FireWire camera and/or framegrabber card
- Insert text overlay
- Create AVIs
If you would like to do image acquisition with a FireWire camera in LabVIEW, you
will need to use the NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 driver that comes bundled in the Vision Acquisition
Software. You can either plug the camera in directly to a computer
with a built-in FireWire port or use the PCI-8252 FireWire interface device
(which comes with the NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 driver). For information on
other framegrabber card options (for non-FireWire cameras), please see the NI Vision Hardware website.
The functions for creating AVIs are included in the Vision Acquisition
Software. The text overlays, however, are functions only found in our
image processing software, the Vision
Development Module. All these sites can be found on the main NI Machine Vision page; let me know if you

I really need help connect with my ipod and my itune??

guys when i pluge my ipot to my computer and open itune it appear on the itune with my computer screen "iTune has detected an ipod that appear to be courrupted. you may need to restore this ipod before it can be used with itunes. you may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the ipod.

Poor video connection with Isigit to PC

I have an isight and my boyfriend has a pc. I use ichat av to talk to him while he uses AIM. He see's a fantastic picture of me while his picture on my mac is choppy and not nearly as clear. I tried lowering the bandwidth but there was no difference. PLEASE HELP!!!! He is going away to school in less than 2 days and i would really like to figure this out before he leaves!

Start a chat.
You open the Conection Doctor from the Video menu.
He click on the tab to bring his preview to the front
Then he clicks oon the very small icon just to the right.
This should bring up a slider.
He should slide this to the left.
At you end you should see his Framerate go up and possibly his bitrate.
Tell him to sto when the picture is good enough and the sound quality is accetable.

Go to the router admin page and turn the MAC filter off. Or, you can manually enter your iPT MAC ID inter the MAC filter list. This will do it.

Your PC pal should upgrade to the current AIM 5.9. If fixes some of 5.5's problems.

For more information on one-way video, search your Mac's

The requirements for one-way video are the same as for two-way video except for one camera.
One-way video between an iSight-equipped Mac and a correctly configured PC is possible for most users. However, some users report that they can just NEVER get it to work. We do not know why that is. Adding any compatible USB webcam to the PC system (and "tuning" correctly after the addition) should let you make video connections if you are one who cannot make it work without a camera.

Do you mean that you can connect to the Windows Vista PC in your office from other PCs? What error message do you receive when you connect to Windows Vista from your Mac?
Regarding the credentials, if your Windows Vista is a domain computer, you can use this format:
domain name\user name as the User Name. If it is just a workgroup computer, you can use this format:
Computer name of your Windows Vista\user name.
Credentials: The user name and password to be used for the remote PC you are connecting to. If no credentials are displayed, the log on screen will be displayed after clicking the remote
desktop. The user name can be entered in the following formats: user_name, domain\user_name, and
