Need Vista display drivers on Qosmio G30-116

Hello all, need a bit of advice.
I have updated from Windows XP MCE to Vista 32bit, but the display is not going to full 1920 x 1200 as it was when I had XP MCE installed.
All i can get is 1440 x 900.
I have downloaded the Toshiba drivers from Vista but dont seem to correct.
Can any one help ?
Many thanks
mark

Hi mark,
thats really weird since the drivers from the Toshiba Drivers download website are 100% correctly for that machine you choosed.
Are you sure that youve choosed the PROPER model number etc, because there are many qosmios with different screens.
Please go to the Drivers Download site and download the drivers again, but this time take care which model youve choose.
In case of no success you can also check [THIS|http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/]site. But read the FAQ section carefully before downloading anything.
Many greetings and nice weekend

  • Qosmio G30-116: How to connect the Sky Digital box to watch TV?

I just recently purchased the Qosmio G30-116 on the understanding that I can connect my Sky digital to the laptop (somehow) and watch and record sky on the laptop
    * note: I am not using freeview or normal TV I am using SKY DIGITAL *
usint the supplied converter cable to connect to the video-in on the laptop (video in is like a headfone jack and the converter converts from this to female RCA)
I have plugged it into the laptop then connect a 3 RCA to SCART to it and then into the sky box, when setting up the TV section in Windows Media Centre I follow the instructions until it gets to the point where it scans for a signal, (previous to that I get asked what kind of signal I receive, I select digital but have tried all combinations,) but it doesn't find a signal.
Now I have been told that Windows Media Centre does not support Analogue input and that the connection between the sky box and the laptop is analogue.
Is this correct or not? then, while typing this I have been told by someone else that my laptop is not capable of receiveing SKY DIGITAl as it can't decode it or something. Is this also correct? If not, what am I doing wrong and can anyone help me get this going? And have I been going about this the right way or am I totally up the wrong path if laptop is capable of it?

    To start qosmio player
1.switch off computer using on/off blue lit on/off button to close windows operation.
2.make sure that the computer/windows is switch off
3.Now Touch the TV icon (Blue lit button)only or the DVD player ICOn (blue lit button)only. WITHOUT USING THE USUAL ON/OFF SWITCH
4.The qosmio player/engine will switch on instantly without booting windows.
5.TV will launch within 8 seconds and the same for DVD player
6.Pres F1 or F2 for further functions such as screen size,audio,forward.rewind.pause scanning the TV channnels (auto or manual)
7.You can do the same i.e open the qosmio player/TV with the supplied Toshiba/qosmio remote pressing the Live TV button ONLY for instant TV on or DVD menu ONLY for instant DVD player/CD player on WITHOUT USING THE ON/OFF SWITCH ON THE REMOTE.That is very much similar to a standard TV remote just press the TV or dvd menu .
8.If you touch the same icon buttons i.e TV and dvd player during the standard computer usage /windows operating system,IT WILL LAUNCH THE MEDIA CENTER BY DEFAULT.that's what happen to you!
I use the remote from my bed before going to sleep and the same from bed to watch early morning TV news
Qosmio is excellent for the versatility!
    Enjoy

  • Where can i find Vista drivers for Qosmio G30

Is there some other place were I can download drivers for my Qosmio G30, drivers for Windows Vista?
I have tried this hompage but I have been able to get some of the buttons to work again.

  • Problems with NVIDIA Geforce Go 7600 display driver for Qosmio G30

A few days ago my Qosmio G30 ( Windows XP) didnot start properly. First the srceen become white and after a few reboots the screen shows a lot figures and after that I get the a lot of vertical stripes over the screen. I only can start in protected mode of windows but the vertical stripes stay. After consultating the Toshiba help desk I find on the Toshiba website a driver for the Nividia Geforce Go 7600.
But I cannot installed it because Microsoft Windows XP reported that the software  have no digital signiture. When I ignore that message the installtion goes on but without result. The computer gives the message that the Nvidia 7600 is not installed properly.
Please have someone a solution of my problem. (Johnnyboy have reported the same problem )

I sounds like a dying video chip, or at least my p100 had simmilar issues when it needed the video replaced.  Odd characters on the screen at random, plus locking up occasionally.  Mine failed from excessive heat.

  • Qosmio G30-116: Tv tuner chipset on Linux

    Hi
I have Linux loaded on a Qosmio 30-116
An LSPCIlists a lists a Conexant device 5b7a, would I be right in thinking that this is a tv tunner ?
The same device is listed at www.pcidatabase.com as 0x5B7A Video,MPEG,Decoder, Multi-Media 0x14F1 Conexant Systems, Inc,
    any comments anybody?
    Dave.

I am well aware of the orgin of statments such as "Toshiba recommends Microsoft Windows XP"
I was rather hoping for some simple hardware details of the Q30 116 machine, so far I have managed to get both the nvidia and wireless systems working with Linux. Both of which use standard chips. Having found evidence for standard mpeg decoder, I known there is an existing linux device driver for such a chip, I was wondering if this driver could also be used.
Does anybody known if Toshiba release any hardware details ? or if there is is any requriments under EU law to release such details?

  • Possible HDD problem - clicking sound and system hangs on Qosmio G30-116

    Hi,
I just got my G30-116 back from service (screen replacement) and after 2 days another problem. It just keeps hanging out.
I did not change a thing since I got it and now it just stops working on occasional things like browsing the internet. It has not happened before. And my biggest worry is the clicking sound that my hard drive makes.
What can be wrong? It did not crush before I have sent it to service, not I think my hard drive is faulty... Thanks

What to say? If you can not find out why freezing problem occurs try to preinstall OS with delivered recovery DVD.
Anyway according to your description I am afraid there is some serious problem with HDD and it can be just worse then now. Please be sure your data are backed up.
Please contact service again and explain them the situation. If the HDD is defective you will get new one and if they have the HDD on stock it can be replaced very fast. G30 is very nice unit and I hope you will be satisfied. Few days ago my friend has visited me and we have tested his G30 with HD-DVD drive on my LCD TV. I just can tell you one thing: I am really impressed about HD picture quality.
    Good luck!

  • Need Win 8 Drivers for Qosmio X300-14X (PQX31E)

    Hi,
I had to format my notebook and i'm in need of some drivers for Windows8 64bit.
Does anybody can give me those?
    Device Name: Coprocessore
    Hardware ID

    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0AA3&CC_0B4000
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0AA3&CC_0B40
Can anybody help me with this?

    Hi
Its easy to find out what the devices needs the drivers.
The VEN ID and DEV ID can be checked here:
    http://www.pcidatabase.com/index.php
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0AA3
This means the nVidia nForce 730i SMBus Controller
Recommend installing the nVidia Chip Set Utility and nVidia graphic card driver
On the Toshiba EU driver page you can find the version for Win 7. Try it!

  • Need WXP MCE drivers for Qosmio F20

    Hi everyone.
I recently reloaded the OS on a clients Qosmio F20 (PQF20A-00D00C). They didn't have any recovery disks and I didn't make any recovery disks (as per a KB article I found later - not that I recall any such menu item).
I am looking for the drivers for such a laptop but the Toshiba site only has drivers for LAN, WLAN and bluetooth. I can't see any for audio, vga, chipset etc.
Any idea where I can find such drivers for XP MCE(Pro)?
    Cheers.

    Hay
I don't have time to check all this but I think all drivers for WXP MCE should be available on Toshiba download page under http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/
You can also try to find missing drivers on European Toshiba page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp (Product type > Archive). I presume there is no big difference between Australian and European Qosmio F20.
Try to find drivers you can use with WXP MCE.

  • Qosimio G30-116 with blue screen on boot

I have a Qosmio dule boot Qosmio G30-116, booting in windows generates a blue screen of death, which is quickly cleared before I can read what is displayed.
Boot it in windows safe mode results in a long list of files being displayed the last one being Mup.sys
Booting the machine in Linux and running everything that I can think off does not generate an error.
Running the on board Toshiba dignostics from the BIOS does not generate an error.
Running the linux memory check does not generate an error.
Viewing the file system does not generate an error.
So I don't think I have a hardware problem, I think something is matter with windows
Does anybody have any idea how to stop my clearing the screen so I can actual find out what the problem is ?
There is a lot of valuable software on this machine, I have no desire to trash the entire disk to attempt to repair what seems to be a specfic windows problem.

    Hi,
I am sure its not a hardware problem. Its a pure windows related problem but its like one of these bluescreens which try to tell you that your memory is gone. :(
First of all, try to remember which software youve recently installed. Which drivers were updated and how many microsoft KBs were automatically installed.
I would really recommend you to google for "Mup.sys" and check the site "hardwareanalysis" which is the second entry when searching for that term.
This problem has many reasons and there are many different solutions..because the reasons are so different. So, if you want to keep your "valuable" programs and dont want to reinstall your system (what could be btw. the easiest way after backing up your "valuable" software) then check the forum Ive suggested and you will find hopefully the enlightment.

    Message was edited by: Martiosso

    Hi Martin
First of all its interesting if you have downloaded and installed all Toshiba Vista drivers which are released on the Toshiba European driver page?
All drivers must be installed in the right order!
If I'm not mistaken the Qosmio G30-126 belongs to the PQG32E series. It was delivered with HD DVD drive and therefore you should choose the drivers for Qosmio G30 HD DVD (PQG32E)!!!
Please check firstly the Installation Instructions txt file and then install all drivers like mentioned in this document.
    Regarding the display issue;
You should install the right NVIDIA driver from the Toshiba page!!
The FN keys and control buttons dont work because the Toshiba Vista Value Added Package was not installed. This package contains different applications which are necessary to get all Toshiba functions running!
    Good luck

  • Qosmio G30 - shady dark lines on the screen

    Hi
I bought Qosmio G30-116. Overall great but there is one issue. On the bottom of the screen there are two big shady dark lines (the brighter the color of background is the more wisible it gets.
It is very anoying I bought it mainly for movies. I took it to the shop where I bouth it but they've said it is normal and all toshiba 17" screen have it. But I have seen 3 other models with 17"(qosmio resolution stays the same) and none of them had it.
What should I do? Is it really normal? Thanks

Puuuhhh. Hey pitorek, its really not easy to say if its a display malfunction.
But I think this question could be answered by a authorized technician.
I think you should contact the service partner in your country (I assume youre from Poland ;)) and explain the guys the situation. I think you should send him this screenshot.
Possibly you will get a replacement. But I dont know if it could be a display fault or fl inverter or something different.

  • Where can I find new display drivers for Satellite P100

    Hello,
i need new display drivers for my Notebook (Satellite P100), but it's only Version 84.0 to download.
I need version 162.0 or higher.
On Nvidia Web-Site is the new 167.0 beta, but does it work with my system?

The Toshiba graphic drivers on the Toshiba European driver page are not the same like the original graphic driver from the graphic card manufacturers.
Therefore you cannot compare the driver version numbers!
Generally the graphic driver which appears on the Toshiba page is the newest Toshiba driver.
    Best regards

  • Qosmio G30: Need XP drivers tools CD-ROM in english

    Hi!
I'm an italian owner of Qosmio G30, and I want to use Windows XP Pro in english. Is there any way or any place on the Net to download the ISO of Toshiba CDROM Tools and Drivers in english?

    Hello Cesare
All you must do is to visit Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/ > Support & Downloads > Support homepage. There you can find download section.
Everything you need you can find it there on almost every European language. ISO file is not available just single drivers, tools and utilities.
    Thats all.

  • Qosmio G30 - Need two Windows operating systems: Vista and XP

    Hello,
can somebody help me about procedure for next request:
I need both operating systems on my Qosmio: Vista and XP
I have two RAID drives inside my Qosmio and I have installed Vista on first one.
I tried to install XP on second hard drive and I did that (I inserted XP installation disk and sellected second drive for installation) but after installation I had just XP boot option.
I can see all Vista files on the first disc, but boot sector enables XP only. XP Windows directory was intalled on second drive, but boot.ini and some system files were in the root of the first drive.
I prefered Vista and I repeated the procedure (with my recovery Vista CD) and now I have Vista on first disk and all files of XP on second disk. I did not investigate how to obtain complete bootable XP system on second disk.
    What I need:
    Vista on first drive.
    XP on second drive
I would like to have completely independent Windows system. That means I need boot selection by BIOS, not by Vista or XP.

    Thank you for your help,
but I have solved my problem by the next way:
Fistly I installed Vista by the recovery disk.
After that I phisically removed the disk No. 1. (open the cover unscrew the hard disk and put out the hard disk).
I started the Qosmio and I was informed that disk No.1 has problem but I continued with CD boot procedure with XP installation disk inside. I installed the XP on the disk No. 2, and after that I put the hard disk No.1. on its position again.
Now, I can boot my Qosmio from the disk No.1 with Vista, or from the hard disk No.2 under XP operating system.
That is all. The screw driver has solved all my problems with BIOS possibilites and hard disk enable/disable.
    Best regards,
    Dragan

  • Qosmio G30: Conflict between Sigmatel audio driver and Vista SP1

    Hello,
I have a Qosmio G30 PQG32E notebook and can't upgrade to Vista SP1 because the Sigmatel driver (6.10.5462.0) is conflicting with the service pack.
As some of you might know, Sigmatel no longer exists and IDT who bought them is as good as non-existent, saying to contact the OEM directly for updated drivers.
Is there any plan to upgrade the audio driver ?
There are huge memory leaks in my case from the audio driver.
When using Photoshop or Premiere Pro, the audiodg.exe proccess consumes 800MB and more after one hour of continuous work.
I am hoping for an updated more stable driver, and more stability from SP1.
    Am I a dreamer?

Have your problems started after SP1 installation? Just for info: at the moment Toshiba does not support SP1. I really believe that you have some troubles and because of that I still wait with SP1 installation.
You are right about Qosmio. It costs a lot of money but using delivered recovery image installation you will not have any problem. About memory and how much resources Vista needs you can read everywhere. Even if you close some application RAM will still be occupied with different information. If you start the same application again you will see that application starts second time much faster.
    It is Vista!!!
You have really nice notebook and you should upgrade RAM to maximum level. I am pretty the notebook will runs much better and of course faster. For such notebook 2 GB for Vista is really the minimum.
