Need white background on photos for website, can anyone help?
I dont have and dont know how to use photoshop but
have been told its what I need for this job. I am upgrading my website and have quite a few photos
that need a white background putting around them to make them clean and proffessional. Can anyone help me out? Am willing to pay for time. Typical
example is pic below. Need just the machine and not any of the messy background?

Very nice graphic Noel Carboni, exactly what im after. Would you consider doing the photos? I have maybe 15 of them max I would like doing.
Re-taking pictures of a lot of them is not an option as they were special build machines and not our usual stuff.

Is the store that you bought the card from nearby so that you can try going back and asking if they can activate the card properly ? Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitirion & use Disk Utility from there. -
The Place Holders in my Table of Contents will not accept a photo for the first few chapters. I have rebooted the computer and that didn't work. Can anyone help? I have worked so hard on getting everything done for this book and this is the last thing to do and I need help with it.
Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

trying to play music on my apple tv - when I clicked on computers and error came up saying I need to turn home sharing on. Went to my computer pulled up itunes and home sharing is on? not sure what to do, can anyone help me...
I had this problem too. My PC is connected to my router via an ethernet cable and my Apple TV is connected via wireless. When I phoned Apple they said that my router was probably sending the signals via two different sub networks, one for ethernet and one for wireless and so the Apple TV couldn't see my computer (It's like they are on different connections). I didn't really understand how my router was setting up sub networks but when I connected my Apple TV via ethernet it works fine and then stops again when I use wireless. I restarted my router and it was ok so I then went into my router settings and selected to always use the same channel for the Apple TV. So far it has worked everytime I've switched on.

Plug the stick and/or card into the appropriate slots on the side of your Air. Do you see icons for the devices appear on the desktop? Click into them to see what files are there.

You need to use the computer's original disks or a retail Mac OS X 10.5.6 or earlier DVD which is at least as new as the computer. Another Mac's original disks won't work.

I run iPhoto 6 and use an external drive.
I unplugged my firewire while iPhoto was on and since then I have a square with an exclamation mark but can't find any of my numerous pictures.
I tried to locate the photos on my external drive but can't.
What should I do recover my pictures?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do have an Ext Disk iPHOTO library folder but cant find the pictures I am looking for, it is not in the my pictures folder either.
Yet, when I am on iPHOTO and click on one of these squares with an exclamation mark I can see the size of the pictures so it must be somewhere, I tried to export them but it doesn't work.
Anything I can do to retrieve my pics?

Problems with playing quicktime video on website - can anyone help?
I have incorporated quick time video onto my website so that the videos are viewable via iphone. I used the HTML and video files format (.m4v, .mov, .gp3) generated by Quickplayer pro "Export for web" option. The html code and videos files works when tested on the local server but does not work via the web server (www.viux.com), a question mark appears on the Quick Time Player.
Can any one help? are we missing some plugin on the websever etc. Kindly help.

IfteeHi Guys, The problem is finally solved thanks to www.viux.com support team. All the codes and URL link were fine, the sever had to be configured to play .mov, .m4v ad .gp3 files, which was easily done (after being guided) through the control panel.
Therefore My advise to anyone encountering such problems (Windows / linus platform website playing Quick Time Videos for iphones etc) is to contact the server provider as they will definitely have to either guide or modify the server settings to play such file formats.

I am running 10.5.2 from a USB, I need to mount my internal hard drive, can anyone help me?
Hi everybody. My imac suddenly died on me. It couldn't start, right after the apple sign appeared, an interrogation sign showed. I ran the disk utility, and the problem was that the internal hard drive was not mounted. I installed the 10.5.2 (the one it came with the imac) in a USB flash drive, which I am running now. Is it possible to mount my internal drive so I can back up my data? (I know should back my data up regularly, but I didn't). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alvaro.I suspect a failed HD, in that case I'd recommend Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode at least 3x. You will need the original install discs that shipped with the computer, if you do not have them any longer you will need to order a replacement set from Apple by calling AppleCare. You will need a credit card and the serial number of the machine. The cost should be nominal.
