Needed RFC for ESS

Hi All,
Currently i'm working on ESS(Employement Self Service). I found all the infotypes needed for my project. But i found only 4 function modules to handle those infotypes. But i need to handle EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION and PREVIOUS EMPLOYEMENT infotypes. For that i need standard RFC's.
Is there any standard RFC's available to handle these infotypes???? If yes please help me by providing those RFC's.

This is old RFC. But i need new RFC for particular country.
For example RFC's like "HRXSS_PER_READ_P0002_IN" are used to handle the employees personal data in india.
Like this i need RFC for education, previous employment and qualification....

I can help. There is no full feature software and driver available from HP, but the OS X v10.9 Mavericks driver for your printer is available through Apple Software Update (ASU).
With this driver you can still print and scan, you just wont have HP software to scan from. Scanning to the computer from the printer control panel is only available when using HP Scan software, thus it will not work because there is no HP scan software as apart of the Apple Software Update driver.
Instead, you can scan using,
Method one: Scan from the Print & Scan window
Method two: Scan from Apple Preview
Method three: Scan from Apple Image Capture

Do we need to create or actiovate any system objects for ess mss applicatio

I am new to ESS MSS business packages.i know we need to activate 5 pairs of JCO destinations,
do we need to create or activate any system objects ,because ess mss applications contains transactional iviews also
how they will communicate.

once you placed the portal content, the default system objetcs for ESS and MSS are delivered by SAP only, we need to configure the same like JCO destinations.,

Need of an RFC for WF??

I am still unable to understand the need of an RFC.
i) Why do we need RFC destination host configuration? What is its significance and usage?
ii) Also, would I still need the RFC Configuration if I am developing and executing WF in the same client - same box.?

Backend R/3 connectivity for ESS MSS from portal

Hi,
We are currently in development cycle for ESS/MSS based on portal EP 6.0 SP16 and ERP 2004 in backend. We are trying to find out how the ESS/MSS business package on portal works with backend ESS functionality in ERP 2004. It is more of a connectivity question. We want to know if we expose our portal to internet so that users can login to ESS/MSS from internet, do we need to put backend ERP (ECC 5.0) system also in DMZ? Do we need to open ports between portal and R/3 so that ESS/MSS can work? Or the communication happens using JCO connections and we need not to expose R/3 system.
Also one more specific question? If someone knows how ESS/MSS talks to backend system. At SAP application layer level or database level? I am asking this question to check if I need to open a port to talk to database or I can very well keep 2-3 SAP application server in DMZ and work.

You need to look at the specific business package. For example, ESS for mySAP ERP 2004 says that the technology is Java / Web dynpro, which says that the Java engine uses RFCc to get the data from the backend.
Othe businesss packages may use ITS, which then needs another connection from the user to the ITS server.

Creating NWDI track for ESS/MSS

Hi,
I am trying to implement ESS/MSS (600 SP7). For customization I need to import the package on the track in CMS. Import of JEE, JTECHS, BUILDT and PCUIG were successful. When i tried importing ESS and MSS, import is failing. Check-In of both the components are successful but while importing the component under Development tab, its failing. Import of MSS in DTR is successful but CMS is failing.

What can I do?
If the termination type was RABAX_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination in the system TRG in transaction ST22.
If the termination type was ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can find more information on the cause of the termination on the application server PPLKHIDR05_TRG_00 in transaction SM21.
If the termination type was ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE, then you can search for more information in the trace file for the work process 0 in transaction ST11 on the application server PPLKHIDR05_TRG_00 . In some situations, you may also need to analyze the trace files of other work processes.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

Creation Of Track For ESS/MSS

Hi,
Could anybody send me the steps in brief or any document which gives step by step procude exactly what needs to be done in NWDI to create a track for ESS/MSS.
I have gone thru some of the sdn posts but i didnt get exactly what steps need to be done....like apart from importing predefined SCA's.
Please help me out...

Process: Creating Track for ESS/MSS Application.
1) open the NWDI URL.
2)click on "Change Management Service" link and login.
3)After logging you will be in "Transport Studio" link. Shift to "Landscape Configurator" link click on that, there you will see tract related page.
4)In the middle of the page there are differnet options(buttons) like Change,New,Save,Save As,e.t.c..
5)Click on New button then you will get new track related fields. After giving required details bottom of that there are some more options(buttons) like ADD Sc,Delete,e.t.c.., clcik on ADD Sc and add the SCs related to ESS/MSS and click on SAVE button which is present on top of window.
6)With these steps required track will be created...

Need BAPI for uploading "Qty in Delivery Note" in MIGO

Please find the details of my requirement as below :
Goto T-code MIGO and select goods receipt for a PO , here under material Item tab there is a field as "Qty in Delivery Note" under Quantity tab.
I need to update this field using my BAPI. Is there is any FM , RFC for getting this output.
Right now i am using BAPI BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, please let me know if any field of this BAPI can be used for thid purpose.

I have added the below functionality at the end of the function module.
Just i have maped the ERFMG i.e ent_qnt(Received quanity) with LSMNG i.e qty.in del note

BAPI/RFC for Service Complaints Creation in CRM 5.0

We are working on the Complaints and Returns module in CRM 5.0. We have found the Transaction Code for the same. (CRMD_BUS2000120).
Not able to find the BAPI/RFC for the same.Let us know if any. Appreciate your comments on the same.

I am not talking about Service Order. I have requirement to create a Service Complaint. For that the transaction is CRMD_BUS2000120. Now I need to find the function modules/RFC available for this requirement.

RFC for role maintenance

We are in the process of developing an ASP.NET web application which will be used to raise requests for user and role creations in SAP.
We will be making use of Sonic ESB to update SAP through IWAY SAP adapter.
IWAY SAP adapter supports RFCs, Bapis & IDocs.
We are aware of RFCs that could be used for user creation, updating and deletion.
We have NOT come across any RFCs or Bapis for role maintenance
1) We would need RFCs for the following requirements:
1)       To create a new role (single or composite role ).Creating a new role would include adding transactions to a role, deriving from an existing role or assigning more than one role to another role.
2)       To update a role
3)       To delete a role.
4)       To get the details of an existing role
If there are no RFCs for the above requirement, will we need to create a custom RFC?
If we need to create a custom RFC, are there any transactions already available for the above requirements so that we could write a RFC wrapper?
2) Are there any RFCs that would give us the complete list of roles (single or composite) in an SAP system?
3) Are there any RFCs that would give us the complete list of transactions in an SAP system?
Presently for 2) & 3) , we are making use of RFC_READ_TABLE to read SAP tables to get the list of roles and transactions.

I think you are in the wrong forum.... For Guided Procedures, this is only about process roles and not roles used in the ABAP Stack.

"No valid RFC for the system VEP" in solman_setup in solman7.1

Hi Gurus,
     I've installed Solman 7.1. Configured STMS as single domain alone. STMS was successfull and the RFC was created and that also successfull. But in solman_setup, in system preparation phase, check STMS, its throwing the error "No Valid RFC for the system VEP".
          I tried deleting the RFC and recreating it, Deleting the STMS ans reconfiguring it, Tried 000, 001 and 100 client, Restarted the SAP server, Restarted the OS lvel also. But nothing works. I've searched but no solution works. Please suggest me what might be the solution for this.
   And also I need to configure the MOPZ in solman 7.1. Please guide for that, since i've not doone in 7.1 and everything in this was new.

I am in step of defining systems in portal for ESS/MSS.

Now the basis person in my project has handed over to me following systems :
SAP_BSP_EREC
SAP_ITS_FND Name mismatch as FND is used in place of XSS or EBU
SAP_R3_Financials
SAP_WebDynpro_ESS Name mismatch as ESS is used in place of XSS
Now below two systems are altogether missing as per first link on help.sap.com
SAP_ECC_HumanResources
SAP_ECC_Travel
Please explain if it requires to be corrected or name mismatch and missing ststems would do.

All the above names that you are referring to are not necessarily separate systems.
These are system aliases for a system object created in your portal via System Administration - System landscape.
So, if you have HR and Finance on the same backend server, then you need only one system with the related system aliases.
You will need SAP_BSP_EREC only if you are planning on using E-recruitment.
Similarly, you will need SAP_ITS_XSS only if you are planning on using any ITS applications.
It is pretty straight forward to change/correct the names of your system aliases instead of changing the usage of these aliases every where else.
SAP_ECC_HumanResources is absolutely necessary.
SAP_ECC_Travel is required if you are planning on using travel and expense related applications.
Also, note that SAP_WebDynpro_XSS should be the alias of the system where your webdynpro applications are deployed (typically the same portal server)

I would like to know all the back ground jobs to be scheduled for ESS/MSS.
As all the data updated in the portal as to reflect in r/3 system and all the data updated in r/3 system to portal.

You need to set the background jobs depending on the functionality which is being implemented and what the data ?
for eg: if it's leave request there background jos which needs to scheduled
