  • 1G Fiber Module Part Code for SG500X

    Hello,
    We Need SG500X Switch for its VRRP Features.  and also, We do have 1G Fiber on Network.  So, which fiber module can i choose for SG500X switch.
    It do have 4x 10GE SFP+ Ports.
    Can i choose MGBLX1  for SG500X for 1 gigabit fiber connectivity?
    Thanks
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
    You left the fiber description out of your request, so i thought i better ask a qualifying question, so you order the appropriate SFP.
    MGBLX1 is a SFP designed for running over  single mode (SM) fiber.
    MGBSX1 is a SPF designed for running over multimode (MM) fiber
    The fiber you have onsite may have writing on the side that says,  50um  or 62.um or may be orange.  This cable is multimode  cable
    if the fiber is MM,  50um thick then you may have a range of no more than  500 meters with a p/n MGBSX1
    if the fiber is 62.5um thick then you may have a range of around 220 meters with a p/n MGBSX1
    The fiber may have writing on the side that says 9um,  or may be yellow - This is singlemode cable

  • How many ssl modules are needed for a redundant configuration?

    Hi, apologies but I can't seem to find a definite answer for this question. I have two css 11506's set up using vip/virtual interface redundancy (active/standby). Each css 11506 has a single ssl module.
    Is this adequate for ssl redundancy? I've read in this forum that if an ssl module fails, the css will reboot causing failover to the standby css so ssl connections will simply reset and as long as I have ASR set up on the back end http content, users will not notice the failover.
    Am I correct in this thinking or do you recommend using two ssl modules in each css? Thinking there is that if one ssl module fails, there will still be a 2nd module to handle ssl traffic and the css's will not failover.
    Thanks
    -Dan

    there is no need for 2 modules.
    You would use 2 modules if you need more power [handle more connections].
    However, your assumption is incorrect.
    Nowadays, there is no device in the worl [cisco and non-cisco] that can do SSL ststeful failover.
    In other words, upon failure, all SSL users will have to restart their connection.

  • File Adapter-Module configuration

    Hi All,
    I have the following requiremnt.
    "Duplicate files should not process"
    Following are the File Access Parameters.
    Source Directory: ABC (ex: contains aa1,aa2,aa3,aa4 files)
    Filename: *
    File name mask: aa*
    My doubt is if they place aa1 file again in ftp , i should not process.
    For this I'm thinking to write module configuration.
    Can any one suggests , whether this is the correct approach? If it is could u explain how to write this module and where to write this module and how to import in xI, do i need to pass any parameter name in module configuration.
    Regards,
    venu.

    Hi Venu,
    You can go with Module in the Sender File Adapter.
    First you need to check the file name and you need to store this file name in the Database.( you can use Java Database).
    If there is an entry in the database for that file, then reject the whole file as per the business requirement. So that you can avoid , overhead of Mapping. Because if there is an error set the flag in the message and check this flag in your Receiver Determination, if it is an error send into error directory.
    Another way is outside the XI, i.e using shell scripts.

  • BIC in Module configuration

    Hi All,
    We have imported Seeburger SWCV into IR and i can see different message types(orders,invoices etc) in external definitions and some standard mappings like(E_ORDERS_96A_to_I_ORDERSO5_LIST, T_ORDERS_V9_to_I_ORDERS05, etc)in message mapping.Does the suffix T stands for Tradacom, E stands for edifact are corect assumption?
    If i'm using the external definition(source message) and the message mapping from here, Do i still need to give the parameters in BIC module.
    Please confirm.
    Thanks,
    Smith

    Hi Paul,
    According to the existing structures which are present in the external defintions proceed.. and dont forget to deploy the .SDA file in the XI server using SDM..
    before that u need to create an Project which contains active mapping in which u need to move what ever the mappings and structures which u needed from there u can generate .SDA file and u can deploy it in server..
    and at the same time u need to some configuration steps in MODULE CONFIGURATION to call the BIC mapping designer program which was deployed as .SDA file in the server.
    revert back with ur exact queries..
    regards,
    Kishore

  • QM module configuration notes

    Any one please help me to get some QM module configuration notes.
    Do help me.if you have some notes "step by step notes of QM configuration"
    Also,if you know any sites please advise.
    thanks in advance.

    Hello Sandip,
    due to the fact that the necessities vary for the implementation of QM I would say that it is near to impossible to offer you the desired information. The implementation guide gives you an idea of what you can set up how and what you set up is an individual decision.
    If you need assistance in this case I would recommend contacting a correspondent
    QM-Consultant who can help you in this process.

  • Seeburger module configuration

    We are using this module configuration for converting EDI D96A format to XML:
    1     localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean     Local Enterprise Bean     bic
    2     localejbs/CallSapAdapter     Local Enterprise Bean     0
    bic     destSourceMsg     MainDocument
    bic     destTargetMsg     MainDocument
    bic     logAttID     ConverterLog
    bic     mappingName     See_E2X_ORDERS_UN_D96A
    bic     saveSourceMsg     ORIGINAL_EDI
    can someone please tell me the module configuration for reverse mapping at receiver end,i.e.,XML to EDI D96A
    basically,I need mapping name for this.
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Shweta

    HI,
    Configuration for AS2 or simple file adapter.
    Scheme=AS2ID
    Name = WAN network no of the partner who is sending the file
    Sender AS2 adapter configuration:
    Few changes in the module parameter tab.
    localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean bic
    CallSapAdapter 0
    Module configuration:
    bic= destSourceMsg = MainDocument
    bic= destTargetMsg = MainDocument
    bic= mappingName= See_E2X_EDIFACT_ORDERS_UN_D93A which does the conversion of EDI-XML.
    Receiver AS2 adapter configuration:
    When the adapter is used in a receiver channel, it obtains a message from the Integration Engine and sends it to a business partner. In this case, the following steps are required:
    1. Define the channel as a Receiver channel on the Parameters tab
    2. The last step ensures the module sequence is complete:
    Make sure the module ModuleProcessorExitBean does exist in the module sequence:
    Module Name=localejbs/ModuleProcessorExitBean
    Type=L
    Module Key=Exit
    • with the following module parameter:
    Module Key=Exit
    Parameter Name=JNDIName
    Parameter Value=deployedAdapters/SeeXIAS2/shareable/SeeXIAS2
    File receiver:
    localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean bic
    CallSapAdapter 0
    Module configuration:
    bic= destSourceMsg = MainDocument
    bic= destTargetMsg = MainDocument
    bic= mappingName= See_X2E_EDIFACT_ORDERS_UN_D93A
    ONly the mapping program name changes from E2X to X2E. IN ur case it will be See_X2E_ORDERS_UN_D96A
    thnx

  • XML Anonymizer Module configuration

    I want to implement XML Anonymizer Module in my scenario. I am referring note 880173 for this
    Basically I want to change the file encoding from utf-8 to US-ASCII by using XML Anonymizer Module.
    When I configure the module as shown below.........I am getting the following error in communicaiton
    channel monitoring.
    Error: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Path to object does not exist at AF_MODULES, the whole lookup name is localejbs/AF_MODULES/XMLAnonymizerBean.
    Processing Sequence
    1-AF_MODULES/XMLAnonymizerBean-LocalEnterpriseBean---1
    2-CallSapAdapter-LocalEnterpriseBean---2
    Module Configuration
    1-anonmizer.encoding-US-ASCII
    Somebody could you plz hlep me how to configure the module ??
    Thanks
    kumar

    hi,
    For using this module you can refer to these two links instead of notes its really helpful:
    /people/stefan.grube/blog/2007/02/02/remove-namespace-prefix-or-change-xml-encoding-with-the-xmlanonymizerbean
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2e/bf37423cf7ab04e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    localejbs/AF_MODULES/XMLAnonymizerBean.
    no need to write local ejbs here ,directly write AF_MODULES/XMLAnonymizerBean as module name.
    For : 1AF_MODULES/XMLAnonymizerBean-LocalEnterpriseBean-1,2-CallSapAdapter-LocalEnterpriseBean-2
    Give  module key 0 to -CallSapAdapter---LocalEnterpriseBean and
    1 to AF_MODULES/XMLAnonymizerBean---LocalEnterpriseBean
    hope it helps.reward for useful ans.

  • How to show module and SFP information include hardware serial number on Nexus switch?

       How to show module and SFP information include hardware serial number on Nexus switch?                 Thanks.

    Hi,
    The show inventory command will give you details of the Nexus chassis, power supplies, Supervisor, Fabric, I/O modules (including FEX if you have them) etc. To get the details of the installed SFP/SFP+ then you'll need to use the show interface transceiver command.

    Just to add to Jon's post, it should be up to seven with dual sups or up to eight with single sup.
    (Line cards are hot swappable, but I agree with Jon, ideally they should be changed during planned maintenance - just in case.)
    BTW, if you're going to load up a 6509 with that many 10g cards, you may want to insure some or all have DFCs.  If you do use DFCs, don't forget possible issues when matching them to sup.
    Also BTW, if you need even more 10g ports, there also the 6708 and 6716 line cards for sup720s, but if you have a sup2T, there's also the 6816 and 6908.

  • Opinion: best way to do module configuration in jsf?

    Hi all,
    I am building modules for a webapp as jar files which basically contain facelet templates, navigation rules, beans and other jsf goodies.
    One problem with this is how to do module configuration when the webapp is started. Since the module can't modify web.xml to add a startup listener, I need another way.
    So far, my best idea is to create a PhaseListener and use Lifecycle.removePhaseListener to deregister it as soon as it has run once. I'm just wondering... is there a better way?
    Cheers,
    Roger

    I see, so Thread.sleep is indeed the way to go?I'd use Timer, but there's no reason why Thread.sleep shouldn't work.
    Re the crash, there's no stacktrace at all. I usually
    run it, and then leave it... and after random time
    (hours), it just stops without any exception.
    Are you starting it from the command line with java whatever...? If so, and you're getting no stacktrace, then either it's ending cleanly because you told it to, or you're smothering an exception with something like catch (Exception exc) {
        // do nothing
    }

  • C2960S-STACK module in a 2960-X switch

    Do the 2960S stacking modules work in a 2960-X?  The stacking cables are the same part #, even though the description for the 2960-X says Flexstack-Plus.
    C2960S-STACK - FlexStack hot-swappable stacking module
    C2960X-STACK - FlexStack-Plus hot-swappable stacking module
    CAB-STK-E-0.5M - FlexStack stacking cable with a 0.5 m length
    CAB-STK-E-0.5M - FlexStack-Plus stacking cable with a 0.5 m length

    No!
    1) 2960-stack moudles fit only 2960s
    2) 2960-x fit modules fit only 2960x
    3) cables are the same
    4) IOS must be the same version. (UPGRADE OR DOWNGADE AS APPROPRIAT
    5)  for a stack with both 2960s and 2960x there are two command that need to be entered on the 2960-x...1) change the port speed to 10.  2) change the smd to routing.

  • Fiber module on switch SG92?

    Dear experts,
    I'm planning connect switch catalyst C2960S-48TS-L to switch SG92-24 through fiber cable MM, I cannot find the list of fiber modules supported on SG92. My question is can I use MGBSX1 for SG92 ?

    Same thing. Upgrade the switch to 15.0(2)SE4.
    According to the Release Notes, this SFP is supported on 12.2(58)SE2 but I am no idi0t and I won't recommend anyone using the entire 12.2(58)SE because there are more bugs in this train than the Amazon.
