Needs new version of quicktime that hates me.

when I go to open iTunes it gives me an error message that says QuickTime version 7.0d0 is installed, iTunes requires Quicktime 7.0.3 or later. Please reinstall iTunes. iTunes won't open at all.
I've reinstalled iTunes several (more than five) times without success. I've tried uninstalling Quicktime and reinstalling a later version, without success.
what should I do?

Bugie: Perform a Thorough & Complete Uninstall and Reinstall of iTunes/QuickTime.
You may need to clean up the Windows registry with CCleaner (freeware) once you have QuickTime uninstalled, just to make sure there are no lingering entries from the old Public Preview edition of QuickTime.

Newer Version of Quicktime that Doesn't Exist?

I'm having issues with Quicktime. I tried downloading iTunes 7. Got that done, rebooted, didn't work. Said I needed quicktime 7.1.3 - so i went to the site to download the new quicktime + iTunes. Did that, it's installed. Try to go through this whole article making sure that you remove all the components and reinstall itunes from the web making sure that you download a new installer.....

I installed IMesh a while back and as soon as I did my Itunes refused to open. Everytime I try to open it, it says "Quicktime version 7.1 is installed, Itunes requires Quicktime 7.1.3 or later. So then I tried numerous times to reinstall Itunes, uninstall it and then reinstall it, used the installer cleanup thing, and even tried to install Quicktime and Itunes separately - I feel like it's still malfunctioning because of Imesh, even though I deleted iMesh entirely. Please help! I'm absolutely desperate.

okay. let's try swapping out your QuickTime one more time.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.

Can't install Itunes 9.2 "Newer Version of Quicktime"

I got a new itouch last week. Worked fine. Then went to update software to new OS (maybe Apple could have put this on a brand new one instead of older OS?!). Message said i needed Itunes 9.2. Went to update and got error "newer version of quicktime installed" and that i can't update since iTunes needs Quicktime. Tried several approaches, no luck. Deleted Itunes for a fresh start and then this wiped the Itouch clean which i had not at all intended. But, despite this exact same error message. I have been working on this and have used various uninstallers and searched the registry, cleaned temp folders, compressed and defragmented the hard drive. Downloaded Chrome, tried manually installing Itunes using Apple Software update, etc etc etc etc etc. Same message. Do i need to wipe the hard drive? Does anyone from Apple have any idea what to do? Newer version of Quicktime (allegedly) installed

Hi All,
Can anyone give me an idiots guide set of instructions to solve this problem? When I try to re-install my iTunes, I get the message that I have a newer version of Quicktime installed but I have wiped (as well as I can) any trace of quicktime from my laptop. I know this involves downloading msicuu".exe (?) but where to get it from and what to do with it once I have it are beyond me!

ITunes won't install because there is already a newer version of Quicktime

I am trying to install the new version of iTunes, but halfway through the installation process a message comes up that says there is already a newer version of Quicktime installed and iTunes cannot be updated. I tried many things like uninstalling Quicktime but this did not work. How can I get iTunes installed?

Check to see if you are up to date on iOS by going to Settings > General > Software Update and update it if it needs it. Then update Pages one that is done by going to the App Store.

Quicktime uninstall error "A newer version of quicktime is already..."

We have 2 new ipods and iphone. We attempted to install the newest version of itunes but when running the install I get this message: A newer version of quicktime is already installed. This installation cannot proceed while the newer version of quicktime is installed." My library is empty after I downloaded a new version of quicktime

iTunes kept giving me an error message that I needed to update the version of quicktime I had and reinstall iTunes. I uninstalled and then reinstalled a newer version of quicktime (7.1) and when I pulled iTunes up again, my library was empty. I can import songs from my music and my computer but it's not my entire library.

when I go to open my iTunes music library or iTunes music folder, the folders are from the new version of iTunes, and they don't contain my old library (duh). are those folders gone forever?

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

In the previous versions of Firefox when you went to you Bookmarks menu it gave you the options to either Bookmark This Page 'command' + 'D', Subscribe to this Page, Bookmark All Tabs 'up-arrow-key' + 'command' + 'D', and Organize Bookmarks 'up-arrow-key' + 'command' + 'B' however in the newest version of Firefox there is no Bookmark All Tabs so you can bookmark all the tabs that you have up in one window at a time. So I need to know if it is possible that the feature is now in a different place, is gone altogether, or if you can get that feature another way?
For me personally and my work I go through hundreds of web pages a day and save around half of those so it is imperative that I be able to bookmark more then one tab at a time because I can't be bothered to bookmark every single page separately and then go through hundreds of tabs in my Unsorted bookmarks in order to sort those bookmarks. It is simple inconvenient to sort every bookmark individually that is why the previous version of Firefox with the Bookmark All Tabs button was superior in its convenience.
