I need help from oracle guru's if they advice me on how to take up the upgradation exam from 8i to 10g. Actually, since last 4 years i am working as Oracle ERP Techno Functional Specialist for impementation on Project Contracts 11i. I would be greatful if anyone can suggest some of the best institutes in Hyderabad, india for training on Oracle 10g DBA?

Safari is download as an update to OSX.
It maybe yo have to update OSX version to get the latest Safari version.
SOme model Macs can be updated to latest version of Safari/OSX since the hardware does not support it.

Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

Also 10.7/10.8 is slower and has more memory needs you machine might not be able to handle (4GB+) also your older CPU and graphics card.
If you want fast, OS X 10.6.8 is simply the fastest with a fresh install, even faster than 10.5. AND it runs your older software, no need to purchase new ones.
Run 10.6 until the wheels fall off that machine before you inflicted yourself with a backwards crap of the Lions.

No. You can update directly to Snow Leopard.
How to Install OS X Updates Successfully
A. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions:
Boot from your current OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. Then select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and later.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
B. Make a Bootable Backup Using Restore Option of Disk Utility:
Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
Select the destination volume from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.
C. Important: Please read before installing:
If you have a FireWire hard drive connected, disconnect it before installing the update unless you will boot from this drive and install the update on it. Reconnect it and turn it back on after installation is complete and you've restarted.
You may experience unexpected results if you have installed third-party system software modifications, or if you have modified the operating system through other means. (This does not apply to normal application software installation.)
The installation process should not be interrupted. If a power outage or other interruption occurs during installation, use the standalone installer (see below) from Apple Downloads to update. While the installation is in progress do not use the computer.
D. Download and install update(s) if updating:
Use Software Update, or
Download standalone updater(s).
E. To upgrade from an earlier major version:
Purchase the requisite installer package (Snow Leopard for example.)
Boot from the installer DVD.
Choose the install option:
None required for Snow Leopard.
Archive and Install for versions prior to Snow Leopard.

If your machine meets the system requirements for Tiger, then you can install it.
Tiger supports the Classic environment (runs OS 9.2.2), so you'll be able to use your classic programs.

To upgrade from 9.2.x.x to 10g, this is definitively not a patch that you need, but a new version. And you can download it from the download page which you can accessed by a click on the big red button on the top-right of this page.

Upgrading from Oblix 6.0 to Orcl 10g

I was trying to check if I can upgrade from Oblix 6.0 to Oracle 10g.
How can I use the configuration manger tool to import all the details and policies stored in Oblix 6 to Oracle 10g? Is it compatible?

The config manager tool only supports configuration migrations between the same versions of OAM. OAMCM supports versions 7.0.4.x and 10.x. To achieve your goal you will need to use the data migration tools included with the product installation. Check the tools folder in the installation path and the migration / upgrade document for further details. It will be a multi step data migration i.e. from 6.0 to 6.1.1 to 7.0.4 to 10.x.Once you have your data upgraded to 10.x you can migrate this to a new 10.x environment or use the upgraded data as the basis for your new environment. I hope this helps, doing this migration is a bit of an art form, but I've recently completed a 5.x to 10g migration successfully, so it's certainly feasible.
