Negative colors

I would like to have white text on dark background. I believe from android 4.0 onward in Settings>Accessibily there is an option called Negative Colors to reverse the colors of the screen. I don't see this option in my yoga tablet 2. Anyone know where or how I can set this?
Thanks
Lee

Go to:
Apple menu (upper left hand corner of display)
--click on system preferences
--select "Universal Access" (on the bottom row)
Make sure you have "Black on White" selected under Display

I am new to the iPad world. But my ipad2 is stuck in like the negative color mode whereas everything is in off color. I forgot how to change it back, I know it is something to do with holding a button down. Please help!

Triple click the Home button to turn it on/off.
Also, you can turn it off in Settings > General > Accessibility.

  • How to Print in negative colors

I am using Adobe Acrobat X and Reader X, both on Win7.
I want to take a printout of a Design that I've exported from Software-Cam350.
I can view the inversed colors by doing the following:
    Edit>Preferences>Accessibility>Change background color...
But i want to take a print out of the same - negative colors ; that is - White design on black background, instead of Black on White.
Also, I want a print out of only the section where the design is present and not of the whole page, as it will only waste my printer's toner because i only require the design part with some extra black on the outside(NOT the whole page).
I also require the Design in the same ratio in which it was exported - 1:1. Thus, I don't even have an option of taking a Screenshot.
Please suggest me as soon as possible as to how can I go about it?
    Thanks

When the Print Dialog comes up, look for a ColorSync Option, hard to say where exactly because different printers have the option in different places, or a grayscale option of their own...

  • Negative Color on Apple 17" DVI to ADC Box

Hello all, I would like to get any help with my 17" Apple LCDs. I have a G5 2.0 with a ATI 9600 Pro 64 megs video card, one ADC and one DVI port. I have the Apple converter DVI to ADC with both USB and DVI cable. It adds power to the Monitors also.
I have two 17 Monitors 3 month apart when I purchased them.
One works (converts) fine on my G5 and MacBook Pro 17", even on a PC with an ATI Wonder Card, (one DVI port one VGA), but the other Monitor will not!
The display looks, well best described as Negative, like a photo (film) negative. When I directly plug the Apple Monitor Cable into my G5 ATI 9600 Pro ADC port its completely fine? It returns to a normal Display.
    I am completely puzzled!
Any thoughts would be very well received. Cheers DonH

I have tried the key commands when connected to my MacBook Pro 17" but it sends the Mac Pro into negative mode! The same with two monitor set upon my G5. It has to be the Monitor? I have two 17" purchased 3 month apart. The other is fine even connected to my PC and using the Apple converter.
I think your problem is a defective DVI to ADC adapter, since your display works correctly from a computer with ADC. There have been others with the same problem with the adapter. A single bit error can cause color inversion with the encoding used for DVI video.

  • Display Showing Negative Colors From Mini?

I helped my mom buy a Mini a few years ago... 1.25 GHz PPC G4. Anyway, she has started to have LCD display issues where colors are reversed like photo negatives, such as she describes that the screen is mostly orange, icons are black, and email windows are black with white lettering.
She did not run any software updates, move the Mini, unhook the LCD, etc. After this started, I did have her hook up to another LCD she has and it looks the same there. I don't know much about the internals of a Mini, but can I assume the video card is toast?
    Thanks for any suggestions!

have her press control option command 8, it's an universal access feature.

  • Negate colors of a window in openbox

I have been running ubuntu for the past few months with compiz enabled, and I have really enjoyed the ability to negate the colors of any window with Super-n. It's great for readability at night.
Anyway, now that I am back on my arch machine, I am wondering if I can achieve a similar effect while running openbox?

Compositing would be required in order to negate the colors of individual windows. As xcompmgr does not support doing this, I think your only option would be compiz.
However, there is a program that I found a while ago called xcalib (in the AUR) that allows you to negate the colors of your entire display with this command:
    xcalib -i -a
There may be a way to do this with the standard X tools, but I'm not aware of it.

  • Why is everything showing in negative color.

I haven't dropped my iPad or done anything else that would damage it.  I just opened it and all of a sudden the colors were completely off.  It's like it's a negative.  What did I touch or is it broken?

Try Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> White on black and turn this Off.

  • [SOLVED] Virtualbox inverted/negative colors...

I'm not exactly new to Arch or linux in general, but I wasn't sure where else to post this.  I'm having a really odd issue.
If I load up my Windows XP virtual machine in virtualbox, when the virtual machine window has focus -- and ONLY when it has focus, the entire screen goes to negative/inverted colors.  I'm not talking about just the Windows XP window itselt, but the entire screen.  I can click off the virtual machine, giving focus to any other window and the colors go back to normal.  Focus the virtual machine and BAM, inverted.
Oddly enough, this only happens when I'm not using compiz-fusion.  That is, it happens only when nautilus is my window manager.  If I select compiz as my window manager, the problem no longer exists.  Here's a photo for reference (I cannot take a screenshot, because that steals focus and then the screen corrects itself.
BTW: this happens with both the latest OSE and BIN versions of VirtualBox.
If it helps, I'm running Arch on a Thinkpad T42 with a mobility radeon 9600 using no xorg.config file and the open source ati driver.  I have the guest additions installed in the XP virtualmachine.
    Virtual machine running, unfocussed.
    Virtual machine focussed... screen inverted.

I too am having this issue,
running either xf86-video-ati or xf86-video-ati-git makes no difference ... (i did a git update of ati today, didn't fix it)
launching vbox with;  env XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 VirtualBox   causes the colour inversion
launching without causes it to stuff up all other programs trying to use xv as a video output ...
    now I can't watch vids :'(
eidt; I'm using openbox as my wm, & xfce4 panel

  • XY graph has 'negative colors' when used on PC with XP

I built an application with windows 2000. I have distributed it. One customer using XP has found that when the XY graph begins to plot the background and gridline colors swap from black to white and visa versa. We have tried our program on an XP machine here, and can not replicate the problem

This sounds like an issue with the graphics driver on that XP machine. I've seen all kind of weird issues due to driver bugs.
Is this an older video card? See if there is a new driver available for XP. They might also want to try other display settings e.g. 32bit color, 24bit color, 16bit color.
Also try to temporarily reduce the graphics acceleration (display control panel..settings..advanced..troubleshooting) by a click or two. Any improvement?

  • Display Color like Negative

My 2 yr old hit some buttons on my iBook and now my entire display looks like the negative colors in a photograph. Can't seem to find what to do to get my regular colors back????

Open the Universal Access pane of System Preferences, click on the Seeing tab, turn off White on Black, and drag the Contrast slider all the way to the left.

  • Is there a way to change the default colors for iPad apps?

I noticed one of my friends iPad 2 had a different color scheme for apps and I would like to change my iPad 2's default ( which is currently grey). To elaborate, the default color for the borders and tabs in Safari are grey on my iPad, my friends are blue. Would like to change from the drab grey color to blue also but I cannot find a setting for this. All applications and Setup apps have this default color scheme on my ipad. Do I have to reset the iPad and start over with setup to achieve this? Hope not, perhaps someone can shed some light on an easy way to do this. Thank You!

You can apply  system-wise "negative" color effect under Settings > General > Accessibility, by toggling the White and Black switch - and, in iCab Mobile (and some other, better browsers / PDF readers), its own "night mode" negative color scheme.
Otherwise, no, you can't do anything else except for asking third party app authors to add selectable back/froeground (=text) colors to their apps.

  • Match color space when opening image in photoshop

hi, i have new macbook air and when i export image from lightroom as TIFF (pro photo RGB) and import to photoshop, it asks what to do that embedded color space does not match with settings, therefore i changed that in photoshop (edit/color settings to pro photo rGB ), however my question is:  if there is any problem because my notebook display is set (system preferences) to "color LCD"
when i set my display as pro photo RGB, it base blue tone, i must use Apple's preset called "colour LCD"

    Good day!
if there is any problem because my notebook display is set (system preferences) to "color LCD"
Your screen profile should generally not be set to your RGB Working Space as this would kind of negate Color Management.
And in the absence of a proper custom profile the maker’s default profile seems to be a valid choice.

  • When I double clicked the home button my screen changed to what looks almost like a picture negative (muted colouring) I turned it off and on but noo luck. How do I get back to my usual screen colours? Thanks for your help!).

First time using the Apple Support Community. Trying to reset my screen so colors don't look like what can only be described as a picture negative. I recall double clicking the home button when this happened before but as that didn't work  this time would be grateful for some help. Many thanks!

So when you triple tap the home button then it goes to negative colors, it is simple to go back. All you have to do is triple tab the home button again and it will go back if it doesnt then, go to Settings>General>Accessibility>And then switch off Invert Colors
