Negative IResourceAclEntry entries?

Hallo,
is it possible to use negative ACL entries for a resource? I mean, the API provides a check for isNegative() but I have never seen a negative IResourceAclEntry yet. Besides, I could not figure out how to specify a deny Permission within the KMC. The only thing I could manage to do is the "normal" specification of allow-permissions and service permissions. Perhaps anybody knows how to set a negative permission for a resource within the KMC-Portal area.
Thanks in advance,
Christian Vogt

Hi Christian,
we planned to provide negative ACL entries. In fact it is partially implemented, but it emerged that it is hard to visualize the permission settings when negative ACL entries are used. Furthermore negative ACL entries often confused customers so we decided not to provide them anymore.
Currently there are no plans to provide negative ACL entries.

  • Release strategy for Negative Service Entry in ML81N

    Dear Gurus,
I have one requirement like when my user will do negative entry in service entry sheet it should go for approval or else I want to allow certain users to do negative service entry. How to achieve this ?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Chinmaya

The user exit   EXIT_SAPLMLSP_031 in the project SRVESLL contains the line item data.
The table  SRV_ESLL will contain all the service related information along with its quantity.
Here you will be able to identify the line items containing -ve Quantity.
After identifying the line items with the negative quantity you can check if the user ID of the current user is authorized to create -ve Quantity or not and raise an error message if the user tries to release the Service entry sheet.

  • Negative houry entry through CATS !!

    Hi All,
There is a requirement to enter nagative hours through CATS to update infotype 2010 (without customizing). Can any one please let me know is there any way to allow negative hours through CATS time entry!
    Thanks,
    Pradeepl

    HI Pradeep,
What is the significance of entering Negative time in CATS. BY definition, it is intended to record time spent on an activity. If we do not spend time on any activity, we just do not book any time on it.
If it is something like an absence, you can book it against an absence type.
Or try something like this, if it is absolutely essential, although I am struggling to understand why it would be -
Enable CATSD-VERSL in your time sheet. Define an Overtime Compensation Type called Negative and use this for entering Negative amounts.
You would need a PCR in Payroll to interpret this as a negative sign.
The above suggestion is purely theoretical, so you would need to give it a good try and test it out.
    Good Luck.

  • Restricting Negative Data Entry on Planning Forms

    Hi All,
We are developing a classic planning Application using Hyperion 11.1.2.2. We came across a scenario where we want to restrict end user from entering Negative Financial Values on certain cells.
Any ideas on how can this be achieved?

    1. Validation rules is just a rule and it will still save the data to essbase
    2. As Jake Turrell said, custom Javascript is maintenance overhead and it will not work after 11.1.2.2+ as they are all ADF
    3. You can try checking on Maintaining triggers on the essbase database and can track them / send mails to respective users. (rounndabout process)
    4. Use a BR that will pickup all the members on form and you can apply a conditional check to see if the data is negative using IF statement and then assign it to #Missing. Since, you would be using only those members on the form, it would be quick.

  • ML81N Negative Quantity Posting for Credit or Difference Adjustments.

    ECC 5.0 - DIMP
This is a VERY, VERY common situation at nearly all companies where a credit or small difference may occur between the invoice amount and the SES.  Reversing / canceling and reentering documents, along with all of the additional accounting documents created is not an appropriate option.
    =========================
I have a situation with Service Entry Sheets where a vendor delivers services for a PO line item.  There can be MANY service entries, and MANY invoices for a single PO Line item.
Invoices are posted against the open GR SES amount on the PO Line Item and not specifically to the service entry sheet.  As a result there may be more than one invoice tied to a single service entry sheet.  The reversal option would requie
When credits come in, or when vendor discounts are taken the SES amount does not match but there is a need to ensure that the SES amount matches the vendor credit amount (whether credit memo or discounts taken).
NUMEROUS SAP OSS Notes say that Negative Service Entry Sheet Amounts are possible, and in the first step I even get an SE042 warning message about the negative quantity.  However, when I press ENTER to go past the warning I then get messgae SE396 as a hard error and the dialog box for the error has JUST an exit button causing the entire transaction to exit the process.
Has anyone ever worked successfully with negative service entry sheet quantities?
If so, what were your lessons learned?
Here are some of the notes I have reviewed, and the ability to do the negative SES quantity goes back to 4.6:

  • How to put negative time in CAT2 ?

The client wants to put in negative time values in CAT2. What configuration should I change to make this allowed? Do I need to change the program or user-exit?
    Thanks a lot.

There was an OSS note that I saw in that regard, which essentially barred negative time entry. Also it makes more business logic to enter a positive absence or attendance type and work on that as required than to enter negative time. If you still need some information on that do a search for negative time in OSS notes and you might bump on something.

  • Negative stock indicator-MRP

    Hi All,
Material is maintained in sloc 1000 and  1001 and  storage location 1001 is set for negative stock.
Due to goods issue there negative stock entry created in 1001 and MRP is creating planned for the same qty.
    How to prevent this?
    For example;
    Stock in Sloc 1001 = -5 EA.
    Planned order = 5 EA
    Thanks.
Edited by: Csaba Szommer on Dec 30, 2011 11:33 PM

Yes, Sloc 1000 is excluded from MRP. Mvt Type 601 happened from 1001 thatsy got negative in there. I had idea that there is no way net req calc can exlclude negative stock but just wanna check if there is any logic which I am not aware of??
What's the sense of doing net rquirement calculation w/o considering the real stock level in the system = how can you do net requirement calculation without considering the stock level in the system ???
I think you should only understand what net requirement calculation is.

  • Negative quantity issue in inventory

    Experts,
I am facing one problem in inventory,i am getting two records for one material document in which primary keys are similar for both of the entries with one entry having positive qty while other as negative qty ,also the negative qty entry doesn't have any batch number along with. As it is a quarter end i need to resolve this problem as soon as possible.
the data source is 2LIS_03_BF, in extractor checker it self it is showing multiple entries for one material document (positive as well as negative)
i don't know much about inventory, because of that i am unable to understand the root cause for the same.when user are running query on the basis of batch number they are getting mismatch in report as two entries present with positive and negative qty entries(with negative entry missing batch Number.
If any one faced this issue earlier then please reply as soon as possible.

    Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply, as I mentioned in my problem, I am getting two entries for each material document. One with positive and another with negative Quantity. Also the negative Qty record doesn't have batch num along with. So there is no meaning to fill up the setup table again. Hope I am clear this time.
Please provide me a solution for the same.

  • How to successfully implement 0CA_IS_TS_1 and 0CA_TS_IS_2

I found this post: Since I had many issues with these extractors and there have been many posts out there in regards to issues with them; here is a quick how-to with SDN using 3.5 and ECC 5.0 (if you are on an earlier version of R/3, then there may be specific notes that you may need to apply, but there are many posts on them) First you need to decide what the need at your client is for these CATS Time Sheet extractors are. Do you need both or are you really just interested in approved entries/changed on approval entries? At my client, it was just approved entries and I will speak mainly to that extractor (0CA_TS_IS_1). The biggest problem that I see people having is that after this extractor is activated, etc...RSA3 is not returning all of the 30/50 entries that exist in the CATSDB table. Well, the biggest thing you need to concentrate on here is the reporting time types. This is configuration that is done within the R/3 environment within the IMG (tranx SPRO, then click on IMG). Within here click on the following path: Integration with Other SAP Components -> Data Transfer to the SAP Business Information Warehouse -> Settings for Application-Specific DataSources (PI) -> Human Resources -> Actual Employee Times OHR_PT_02 -> Define Reporting Time Types. Within this section you will be a little overwhelmed and may need some HR functional team help. You are mainly going to want to concentrate on 'Maintain Reporting Time Types section'. When entering here, you will have the option (be many standard SAP default entries) to add your own Absence/Attendance and or Wage types. You can find the different types within table T554S. This is where you have to define each of the absence/attendance types and/or the wage types for them to successfully extract in the extractor. Please see functional team for help here. After this is done, test the RSA3 extractor again and it should pull all the records that you are concerned about from the CATSDB table. After this is done, you probably are interested in pulling extra fields such as AWART or others in the CATSDB table. Here you are to use the delivered BADI definition CATSBW_CUST_ISOURCE. SAP delivers a SAP implementation of this definition called SAP_DEFAULT, which you should make inactive and create your own version in order to change the underlying methods of the BADI. Within the interface tab of the active implementation that you just created, you will be interested in 3 of them (SET_OFFSET, POSTPROCESSING & DETERMINE_GRBIW); there are others but these are the ones that I saw change was needed. In the offset one, change this to 0; I feel this is the best and most successful one. In Postprocessing is where you put your code to populate your appended fields (you can code just like cmod but it is simpler and you don't have to use those loops for E_T_DATA). In the Determine_GRBIW, I removed the code of return value of 01 because I did not want to restrict this. This ties back to the first column of the reporting time types that you just defined. After you activate this, unhide necessary fields in the structure and rerun in RSA3. You should be ok with everything and can bring over into BW. How this extractor works is it reads a table called cats_bw_time and it looks at this to find approved records that have been cancelled recently and creates 60 entries (with negative 30 entry amounts for that same counter entry of the original 30); so when it comes over to BW, the cube does will negate each other out since processing status and counter are not part of the cube. This is a very quick summary but everyone should be able to find a solution from here. Please contact me if you have further questions via this thread.
    <BR><BR>
But when I try to make the changes described it says it is a "core mod".  My main issue is that not every record is coming over when I extract.  It seems like random records are coming over.  For a particluar date I expected 20 records...but only 2 came over.
    <BR><BR>
Has anyone else had trouble with this?  I am also on ECC 6.0.
Edited by: Jeffrey Tobin on Apr 8, 2010 10:09 PM

    Hi,
    I hope someone can help,
It seems that a Full load only brings in records with a status of 30
A delta load, however brings in status 60 records with a negative quantity.
    This leads to inconsistent data.
So for example, if there are 2 records in CATSDB for a person for a date, one has status 30, and a quantity of 8
and there is another record with status 60 and quantity of 8
If I do a full load, i get a quantity of 8 (the status 30 records)
However, if there was one record already in BW for that person and for that date and a delta is loaded containing the same employee, i get a reversed quantity (-8) so the total in BW is now 0.
    Is this correct?
It seems a full load, which gives a quantity of 8 is correct or is the total of 0 correct?

  • Any way to get rid of Relative Date display in Mail?

This is a long standing problem for me and macs for as long as I can remember. I can't stand relative dates, and no matter what I do they always reappear. I just switched to MacMail and much to my disappointment, I find relative dates there too. Is there ANY permanent way to get rid of Relative Dates once and for all?

Carsten, you CAN get rid of the "negative number" entries. If you use the wizard to build the dimension, when it's all done, go back into the dimension object and delete the default "standard" hierarchy that gets created. Even though you apparently DO have to have a default level, you do NOT need to have a default hierarchy.
This will get rid of the negative numbers and associated logic from the loads...but you still end up with both a DIMENSION_KEY and KEY column...both having exactly the same value in it.
I wish Oracle would give you an option when creating a dimension to specify whether or not it's a dimension with levels...and if you said NO it would simply have a DIMENSION_KEY without any other keys. Glad to hear though that I wasn't missing something obvious on how to turn that off.
    Thx,
    Scott
