Please could anyone guide me through negative time configurations, If you have some configuration documents that will be of great use.

Hi,
The configuration of TIMEMANAGEMENT starts with defining of work schedules, which further is assigned to employees for calculation of Payroll. Work Schedule Work schedules are very essential for employee to exist in the system. The following process explains creation of work schedules without which the employee times cannot be recorded and the Payroll also cannot be executed. Work schedule is a Pattern of daily working Times of an employee scheduled to work and act as a guideline for employee working time. When employee is hired the work schedule rule is attached. As and when there is a change in employee working pattern the same will be changed in Infotype 0007. The Work schedule rule will give the following details: Daily working Hours with begin Time and end time of work (Includes the tolerance Limits) Weekly working Hours Monthly working Hours Annual Working Hours HOLIDAY CLASSES/CALENDAR Public Holidays are predefined in SAP. The Holiday calendar creation process is explained below: IMG Path: Personnel Time management ->Work schedules->Define Public Holiday classes Table/View: NA Transaction Code: SCAL /OY05 Holiday Class: In Bill Forge Public Holiday class 1 is used for all holidays. There will be two types of Public holidays (PH) defined for Project namely Fixed Date: The PH days which fall on a fixed date e.g.15th August Floating public Holiday: The FPH is a movable holiday, which means the holiday doesnu2019t fall every year on the same day (Eg: Diwali /Holi) Fixed Holiday Incorporate the following while creating the Public Holiday on a fixed day: Date of the Month (day) Month Holiday class and Holiday short Text and Long Text. Creation of Floating Public Holiday: Incorporate the following while creating the Floating Public Holiday Year, Month and date of the Month (day) e.g. 14th MARCH 2007 --HOLI Holiday Class Public Holiday short Text and Long Text. Sort Criteria Public Holidays define List of holidays for each region are attached as the annexure I. Holiday Calendar Here the Public Holidays are attached to Holiday calendar Holiday Calendar defined for . The List of holidays that fall under each of the holiday calendar is listed below. BF HOLIDAY CALENDAR Factory Calendar : In 2 holiday calendars have been created and one assigned to a factory calendar, to differentiate the plant level working days in PP module. As they have no specified holidays. GROUPINGS FOR WORK SCHEDULES DWS Grouping Here Daily work Schedule grouping is attached to the Personnel Subarea grouping. Set groupings for the Daily Work schedules (DWS). Table/View: T508Z The personnel subareas have to be grouped for work schedules so that different personnel subareas can have different work schedules. DAILY BREAK SCHEDULES Here the Daily break schedule is variable, for a period of 60 minutes which is paid and can be availed any time between three hours depending on the Shift working times. DWS grouping for Daily work Schedule is u201801u2019 Table/View: V_T550A. 2. DWS FOR NORMAL WORKING TIME 3. DWS FOR SUNDAY PERIOD WORK SCHEDULE Periodic work schedule is the combination of DWS for a period (i.e. a Week). As operates 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday) for these days the DWS would be that of a Working day and for Sunday DWS off would be used. IMG Path: Personnel Time Management.. work Schedule.. Period work schedules .. Define period work Schedules. Table/View: V_T551A Day Types No new day types are defined. SAP standard ones are used. Blank - work/Paid - If the employ works then only salary is paid. 1. O/Pd - Off /Paid - The day is off and its paid off. 2. O/Up - Off/ Upd - The day is off and is unpaid off day. 3. SET WORK SCHEDULE RULES AND WORK SCHEDULES Here the work schedule Rules are defined using employee subgroup grouping, holiday calendar, personnel subarea grouping, work schedule rule (we can name as per the naming conventions), from date and to date, under the working time (No. of working hours per day, weekly working hours, weekly workdays, monthly working hours and annual working hours, rules for day type, grouping for daily work schedule (normally this comes automatically since the settings are made initially), Under period work schedule attach the Period work schedule). There are two methods of generation namely Manual Generation Batch Manual generation: Generating the work schedule rule manually will help in finding out any configuration errors and eliminating problems by rectifying them. Transaction code: PT01 Work Schedules holiday calendars are created from 1950 to 9999 years. To handle the legacy data and the previous employees date of joining. The work schedules are generated from 2007 to till date. SET DEFAULT VALUE FOR WORK SCHEDULES Feature SCHKZ is used to default the work schedule to a particular Personnel area / Sub area.     There was an OSS note that I saw in that regard, which essentially barred negative time entry. Also it makes more business logic to enter a positive absence or attendance type and work on that as required than to enter negative time. If you still need some information on that do a search for negative time in OSS notes and you might bump on something.

    Hi,
    Positive time is plays the total role of workflow. All the processes related to time are automatically gets executed in the background. E.g., in our case it is done only partially to validate the attendance as per punches and other documents with shift timing and generate absence automatically in case of any discrepancy.
    .Negative Time (-ve Time) ? Where the all time related activities like validation of the attendance, posting of absence for wage deduction etc are done manually. It has less level of integration among the different components of time management.
    Positive Time Management we have two types of recordings:
    1. With Clock times - Complete time recording is captured
    2. With out Clock times - Only Number of hourse worked is captured
    Negative time Management:
    1. No clock times and assumed employee is working unless and until his or her absences are entered.

    In Positive Tim Can we capture the absenses without any Manuall Interaction.
    Ex: 1) If the employee is absent for 2day, the quato is available for only 1 day. than the system should automatically has to be deduced one day under Quota and other as a LOP. Can this is be done ( automatically)
    Can u plz update me with some documents  or link which helps in Configuring this Postive Tim.
    What are the steps to be considered before staring  '+ ive' TIM MGT Configuration.

    Hi,
    I need to configure positive and negative times. Both cases, could have the same PWS (also DWS).
    What I dont know, is if I can make the time evaluation for both with 1 common schema?  Or what do I have to take care?
    Also, I have done all Work Schedule and Time Data Recording and Administration, now I am checking the Time Evaluation configuration, but untill now, I have not see the configuration of the WT to times event (Extra hours, leave, etc). Please, I am in ECC6, and if you can help me.

    Hi,Yes you can use the same schema copy of TM04 or TM01 for both positive and negative employees.make sure that in the schema the line  CHECK  PON 
    is active(this line appears after the initialization).

  • FB 4.7 Bug - Build Error 'Negative Time'

    I've encountered a show stopper bug in FB 4.7, I get this everytime I try to build:
    Errors occurred during the build.
    Errors running builder 'Compiler' on project 'Bardbarian'.
    Negative time
    It seems to be related to copying files into bin-debug. If I un-check 'Copy Non-Embedded Files to output folder', then the build works, but I must manually copy my dynbamically loaded files into bin-debug.

        1)    Is there any relevance of using CATS in negative time management.
        2)  If we have to use CATS in negative time management what should be the time management status o or 7
        3) If we transfer the data to HR management does it updates 2002 IT

    1. CATS is very much relevant in negative time management for payment of overtime, recording absences and attendances. In CATS, the employee would enter time using activity types which needs to be mapped to the relevant attendance / absence types. After approval, the times charged in the time sheets would be transferred to infotypes 2001 / 2002 / 2010 (can be used for overtime)
    You can use the data transfer reports "RPTEXTPT" for Human Resources components

  • Real time configurations for derivation types in COPA

    We have taken the sample operating concern by going thru the path
    < IMG Activity: Controlling - operating concern - sap operating concern template >, the Quickstart S-GO operating concern template>
    and configured the following derivation types by looking at the examples:
    - Derivation rule
    - Table lookups
    - Moves
    - Clear
    -Customer Enhancement
    Also, it would be great if some one could provide me with real time configuration of the derivation types in COPA

    Rec Type for Variance transactions is already fixed i.e. C and cant be changed....
    You can use Z rec types in KE21N for manual postings/adjustments.... Or during external data transfer
    If you can be specific on your requirement, we can discuss further using Exit COPA0002 or 0005... But for standard transactions, you cant change the rec types

  • Is it possible to use run-time configuration in conjunction with Session Manager?

    I'm trying to avoid using MAX, basically because it's a pain for users to configure MAX when the application already knows what the configuration is. I actually get the configuration from a database, but that's another story. I've experimented with run-time configuration (see page 4-31 of the 'IVI Driver Toolset' manual) and it works fine. However, when I try to use this in conjunction with Session Manager, session manager complains that my logical name is not a driver session name. I suspect that Session Manager is looking up logical names from a different source, therefore run-time configuration won't work. Any suggestions? I've attached the files I'm working with.

    Hello Mark:
    The Session Manager GetLogicalNames method does not distiguish between logical names and virtual instrument names. A user of the method cannot ask for just logical names or just virtual instrument names. Right now you always get both. The new function is called InstrSessionMgr.GetNames. Notice that the online help file says Boolean for the flags parameter when it is an enum.

    Hello Experts,
    i have this condition in a PCR, where an employee with time management "1" (positive time evaluation) gets transportation allowance on attendance type days like "business meetings out of office" and "trainings", but this is done according to employee-specific indicator in IT0050. (It depends if he takes a bus (no transportation allowance) *or* transportation is generated per working day + attendance days)
    I need to know if an employee with time management status "9" (negative time evaluation) how can i maintain the PCR to read according to the Indicator field in IT0050???  (N: employee doesn't take a bus, Y: employee takes a bus i.e no transportation allowance generated)
    i.e:
    matrix decision tree.
    1. does the employee have 9?
    1.1 what does he have in IT0050
    1.1.1 he has Y
    1.1.2 he has N.....etc
    1.1.2.1 does he have an attendance type?
    1.1.2.1.1 Yes
    1.1.2.1.2 No
    2. does the employee have 1?
    2.1 what does he have in IT0050
    2.1.1 he has Y
    2.1.2 he has N.....etc

    What is the operation to identify the "time management status" if +ve or -ve ??

    The workschedule is from 8-17 with a 1 hr upiad break.
    The below screenshot is the output TIP entry after rule T002 (overtime after 8 hrs.).
    The next screenshot created overtime wagetype for processing type N
    Basically i havent even entered the OT and it is paying based on the work schedule. The requirement is that it shouldnt pay that 1 break hour as OT. But if i enter any OT in that hour then it should pay it. We are using negative time eval and copy of schema TM04. We only record exceptions. Please help
