Negitive marking for the certification

Hello All,
Please confirm if the pattern for certifcation- teched 2008 is Negitive marking ..I just got the confirmed news from SAP ,so partial marks for wrong answers which was not earlier.

Pass Marks for ABAP Certification

Hi All,
I am thinking to take ABAP certification test.Can anybody who has done certification recently, tell me what is the pass marks for it. I have got all other information, only this is left out.

Credits and marks for the same program of study

Hi folks,
The following is the method followed in few universities here in india.,
1) A module has credits as well as marks. Credits will be allotted when the student passes the module which inturn is determined with the marks ( there will a pass mark for each module ) he gained in the module exam.
2) Cumalated credits in all modules will determine his elgibility to progress to the next academic year.
3) At the end of the academic year, his performance is analysed based on the total marks he gained during the academic year. E.g., If he scores 70 marks out of 100, he will be in dean's list.
Credits are not a measure of his performance and any financial aid.
Now, my problem arises in implementing both credits as well as marks because so far i have only worked on either marks or credits but not on both

Sravan, at the moment of appraisal, you can use BADI "Control Assignement of Credits" (Campus Management Procesess > Appraisals> Business Add ins) to set graded and earned credits to students.
We are using this BADI to set credits gained for students when they are graded and completes a module.
The code we use at the BADI is the following:
method IF_EX_HRPIQ00_GRADEFUP~EVALUATE_FOLLOW_UP.
set credits only if grade symbol is entered
   if not i_appraisal-gradesym is initial.
    call function 'hriq_modul_credits_get'
      exporting
        imp_plvar = '01'.

Hope this helps, if this is what you really need. But I am not sure as you previously said that you already use grade and credit assignment in a separate way... Maybe you are already using this BADI.

Suggestion for the Certification forum

A large number of questions in the Certification forum would be answered either by going to the Education -> Certification page or into the Certification FAQ.
Perhaps the OCP guys could add the links in the forum title area, just like the links and information are provided for this forum.

There is no single configuration to help you.
See shiptodetails.jsp or shiptodetails1.jsp , the mandatory values are hard-wired and marked with "*" explicitly. For removing the visual cue, you need to change the JSP.
To suppress the CRM messages from showing in the web layer, see my message Re: Tax Jurisdiction In B2C Webshop (SAP CRM 7.0) as an optional field. and the messages therein.
Even these two may not grantee the full requirement. The error message comes as a part of validating the address of the business partner. You can get different behaviors for different "profiles" of BPs. But that requires you to maintain the configuration at (Tcode SPRO)
CRM--> Master Data --> Business Partner --> Define Profiles

Passing mark for C_BOWI_30/Web Intelligence Certification Exam

Hi,
What is the passing mark for the C_BOWI_30/Web Intelligence Certification Exam.
The information page on the page does not say anything about the minimum score required to pass the test unlike old exams QAWI201V3.0 and QAWI301V3.0 where passing grade were 75 and 80 respectively.
Also is the passing pass based on percentile (dependent on score of others appearing same day) or its a flat passing percentage?
Any help is much appreciated.

How can I prepare for the exams?
Concept is tested. If you understand the concept, you have a better chance of answering the question than trying to remember the actual bullet points in the academy course material.
Use the online help to find and review the concepts covered in the certification course material. The information in the online help is presented in a different format to the course material and will therefore solidify the concepts presented. You will be much better prepared to answer the questions regardless of how the question may be worded. This really works.
How many levels will the exam will be conducted?
The certification exam is conducted in three levels, associate, principal and master. If you are a first timer then go with associate level, and there aftre gaining experience you can enhance your career with other levels of exam.

Photoshop CC - supplied Jpeg at 6.5"Hx9.5"w. Need to add trim marks for printer at 6"x9". How?

I have a jpeg which is 6.5" high x 9.5" wide. I need to insert trim marks at 6" x 9" leaving a .125" bleed. I am new to Photoshop but not a complete idiot. I've watched countless videos but don't see how to do this with art already done by someone else.
Is there anyone who can guide me?

Both seem appropriate. The issue is, the person creating the original art knew less of the software than I. And I just started.
The original art she provided is 9.5"wide x 6.5"high. She increased the surface area to allow for .125 bleeds and excess but the image went all the way to the edge of the canvas. I was simply trying to add trims marks for the purpose of cutting in the proper position.
This was for internal printing on a digital press. Because I would be the only person handling the materials from start to finish (including cutting) I wasn't worried about having to translate the layout on the press sheet.
I ended up deleting all of the text and stripping the art down to the bare image which I saved and rebuilt the entire art file from scratch, properly with layers and the correct page size. Which worked out great, because the client made changes that I would otherwise been unable to do.
Thank you all for the information. I'm still a little confused on how to simply add crop marks to someone else' artwork, but I have enough information to figure it out now.

How to prepare for ABAP certification?

Hi,
I'm currently pursuing my ABAP certification. I've completed the training course and I've started to prepare for the certification. I've heard from a lot of people that the certification exam is really tricky and difficult to get through. A lot of well prepared people whom I've known, have failed to clear the exam. I'm not sure as to how the preparation should be. Do I complete the topics with higher weightage first and then move on to the lesser ones (or) do I just go through the topics as per the order in the training material???
I need your guidance as to how to prepare effectively for this certification.
Any other suggestions apart from the two mentioned would be greatly appreciated.

Materials about certifications are confidential and not to be discussed and also shared.
Its against the RULES OF ENGAGEMENT.
Kindly dont ask regarding certifications... better consult the SAP CERTIFICATION Partners like SIEMENS.

It depends on individual to individual. But, in general you should have 5 weeks preparation, if you know the basics.
For material check with your if they have attended the formal training with SAP / Educational partners.

I have a problem... I have a revaluation area (04: in local currency) and a parallel revaluation area (05: in hard currency) and I have to revaluate an asset, but I couldn't with Tx ABAW. The error is :
Message no. 8Z876 No time base defined for the revaluation key
I checked the configuration and I think it's all ok. I did some tests and I could revaluate only the Area 04 (local currency). Example:
Area 04: 500000 PEN
Area 05: 0 USD.
But this is a big problem for example when I make a transfer the asset to other because the revaluation Area doesn't transfer.
Can anybody please tell me how resolve this?

The error
message 8Z 876 can be shown for two basic things:
1. TBE (Time Base exposure variant) is not maintained.
   Please check if any time base is maintained for the revaluation key.
And if it have all the intervals correctly defined and the post flag
marked for the months required to calculate revalaution.
   If it is maintained please check if the last revaluation date is
filled in your revaluation areas. If the last revaluation date field is
blank, the time base must have the following entry: 31.12.XXXX-1 where
XXXX is the current fiscal year (for ABAW).
2. In the ABAW transaction itself you are trying to post values to any
of the parallel areas defined in the chart of depreciation.
   In transaction ABAW (or AB01) do not post any amount to parallel
areas. The posted values should be equal to zero.
   The values in hard currency will never be revaluated by the inflation
program. If this is the case, please enter manually only zero values as
"Amount posted" in those parallel areas.
If by some specific reasons you still plan to post (manually) to these
parallel areas, you will get error message 8z876 in accordance to your
explanation of the problem.
   To allow posting of non-zero amounts to these areas, you need to
create Revaluation Key NULO. To do this, go to the customizing system
IMG (transaction SPRO) according to the link:
IMG -> Financial Accounting -> Asset Accounting -> Special Valuation ->
        Revaluation of Fixed Assets -> Revaluation for the Balance Sheet
        -> Inflation -> Maintain Revaluation Keys
Create new entry (click F5) for key with name NULO, And save data
(Ctrl+S).
Please, adjust your customizing in accordance with the instructions
above.
