Neighbor's computer shows up in sidebar... Can't Remove?

Shared computers showing up in the sidebar is a great Leopard feature, but why does my neighbor's computer keep showing up? I have no option to remove it from the list through dragging or right-clicking. It's a windows PC (the neighbor's), and it just shows an ugly icon followed by what looks like a MAC address.
Thinking they had cracked my WEP, I changed the password. It came right back up 15 minutes later, so I switched to WPA and it still came right back!
I have no clue how it got there, but an option to remove it seems simple enough. Leopard has some cool features, but 10.5.1 can't come fast enough.

I have 2 G5 iMacs using Apple's wireless network. I have a Mac Pro hardwired to the router and the airport extreme connected to the same router. I too am using WPA and have a 32 character randomly generated password and feel secure in that no one has cracked my local network. However, on all three computers my neighbor's network shows up. Theirs is secure too and I connect to it.
The also, cannot connect to my network, nor does he see it on his windows comps.

When you installed Snow Leopard, Tiger was replaced, leaving your programs and files intact.
What is causing your freezing problem is unknown, you can take Kappy's advice and remove everything, but you lose your files and free iLife programs that came with Tiger/new machine.
The 10.6.3 disk you "upgraded" with has the full 10.6.3 on it, but no free iLife suit, so a erase and install will remove what you already have installed.
You can try to locate your problem without the erase and install method by running through this list of fixes.

But before you do anything, backup your personal data off the machine to a extenal drive and disconnect.

Because if you have to follow Kappy's advice and wipe and install 10.6 fresh, it will cure your problem in nearly 99% of cases, but you have to rebuild everything. All programs and files.

If this is all too much for you, then STOP and call a local PC/Mac service or competant friend to assist you.
Yuo might need to install more RAM into the machine to make 10.6 run better as well.

Random character showing up in browser - can't remove.

I am using Dreamweaver CS5 and an this "P" shows up in the browser, the Live View, Live Code, but does not show up in the code for me to erase it.
Any ideas? Below is part of the code file and a screen sot of the chararcter I want to remove.
Any help would be appreciated.

New "Shared" Computer showing up?

Hi,
All of a sudden, I have a new device showing up in my "shared" list on the left side of my open windows. I'm not sure where it came from or how to get rid of it. I've searched the threads here, but couldn't find the answer, so would appreciate any help.
I have a G4 Tower connected directly via ethernet to an Airport Extreme, using a DSL modem. I also have a MacBook that connects via Airport, and it also shows this unknown device. When I "Get info" on the device, it says it's a "PC Server" but no more info, and clicking on it shows two folders, "D" and "SharedDocs," and that I'm connected as: Guest.
I've never put any password on my network (we live in a pretty rural area, so never felt the need). But I'm wondering if it's a neighbor's computer showing up?
How do I get rid of this icon?

There is no "somehow." You neighbor was "stealing" your WiFi. Let's hope he was not smart enough to access your computer.
If you run the terminal command
last
you will see all the logins.
I changed my Airport Network to WPA security (from no security at all), and the "rogue" device is no longer there.
You should be using WPA2 - even WPA has been compromised and WEP is a joke these days.
Eventually everyone will learn to use WPA2.

Mac to XP. Windows not showing up in Sidebar. And mystery computer.

Hello. I'm trying to establish a small connection between my Mac and my mothers PC, she often have problems with it, and it is low on HD space, so I thought I could use my Mac as a storage kind of thing.
Anyhow, the PC does not show up in sidebar, and I can't connect using Go > Connect to Server > smb://192.168.1.3
I don't know why.
One computer is listed under shared, it is called joellundborfc48, and I have no idea what it is.
The PC connects to my Mac just fine, but not the other way, sadly.
My router is a Mici Broadband Router model KN-S1060.
Any help is appreciated.
Trying to connect via ethernet LAN, no wireless here.

Unkown computer showing up on my finder sidebar under "shared"

Hi there,
I have an unkown computer showing up on my finder sidebar under "shared". The name of this shared computer is "technicolor". How can I disconnect and delete it? I suspect it is spyware or something similar as when I unplug the ethernet cable that connects to my modem, I can't connect to this computer. When I do connect it is empty.
OS 10.5.8
Note: I have had Parallels 4 (virtual PC XP) on my mac for a number of years and when that is running it comes up in the sidebar under "shared" but with the name I gave it when set up. So when running both names show.
I would appreciate some direction on how to get rid of this "shared" computer.

Somewhere on the network you are using is a computer with that name. If the network is wifi and it's yours, you should change the password on it immediately. If the network is wifi and it belongs to someone else, then talk to that person or stop using that other person's wifi network.
If you just want to get it out of your sidebar, you can choose to have the Finder window sidebar not show available shares. Go to Finder Preferences->General and un-check CONNECTED SERVERS.

If you are seeing someone else's computer in your sidebar it is because they have 'shared' something on their computer and hence made it available to you. If you share something on your computer then your computer would become visible in their sidebar.
You can access their shared computer without them being able to access yours. They do not have to do anything on your computer to make theirs available to you. All they have to do is tell you what username and password to use to access their computer.

The computer has to be authorized for the account that purcchased the media.
What error message are you getting when you try to lauthorize the computer for that account?

iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.
Authorizing a computer does not cause media to magically appear.
Media is only where the user puts it.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

Did you hold the Command (Apple) key while dragging them off the sidebar? That usually makes them go *poof*.

Download them to the computer to which the iPod is synced, re-sync.

Went to my devices. Original iPad showed up,there In red and then he had me go,to apple website, download something and it said it could configure to my computer.

Can I reload an old firefox? There is no firefox logo at top. When I rt click at top I see hide toolbar and leave full screen. To the right there is only a home sign. How can I get my BOOKMARKS ??????? I so need them and hate what ever this is that now shows up on firefox.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

Try restoring the backup again. Your apps and other purchased media should have been restored from your backup if they were on your old phone when you backed it up.
