Neighbors have FIOS, I don't

Hi, I've been having a huge problem with getting verizon FIOS. I live in an apartment building, and the landowner has confirmed multiple times that he has allowed FIOS to be installed, giving them permission to do so, but it seems like our building was overlooked. It's been over a year, and the building still doesn't have FIOS. The neighbors right next door have had it for about 9 months now.
There's even been a time when a verizon technician who was installing FIOS for the building next door told me personally that our building is ready, ALL of the systems are already available, they just need to be physically connected to our building and showed me the FIOS box on the telephone pole near our building.
I have been trying for almost a year with multiple phone call to verizon, always being promised to get it "looked over" by engineering, and nothing has happened. Just lots of frustrating calls where all the representatives said was "It's not available in your area", big help!
I was wondering if there was anything I could do to fix this issue. I want to pay verizon for this service, yet it seems like they aren't very interested! No phone calls have helped, even when calling the technicians, local office, fios, etc. It just seems like our building was left out.

go to that website and fill out the request for them to install fios in a multi dwelling unit. maybe try to get the ball rolling again. Clearly there was a disconnect somewhere, and that building got overlooked, I am sure they will be anxious to see fresh leads (or what they would consider a "Fresh" lead)

Hello all, I apologize if this is not the right forum section I have to post to, but I have seen a similar post while searching on google in this same section so I am deciding to give it a try, and if it is necessary to redirect this to a different section, please do. I also apologize for the bulk of this post.
My house in the 10305 area of SI, NY Appleby Avenue was recently built onto a new address that did not exist prior to the construction of the house(~1.5 years ago) and we have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the absolutely abysmal service of godforsaken Time Warner Cable. My experiences range (on a regular weekly basis) of contacting them about something not working, whether it be my internet, cable box, or phone. At some point we did not have internet for 4 days because Time Warner decided to completely deactivate the WiFi on my modem and couldn't figure out how to turn it back on.
Anyway, I always assumed that FiOS was not available to my entire block and that it would be coming soon. There was an incident on my block in which an unbranded service box (which is approx 300 yards from my house) had to be replaced, and when I saw Verizon FiOS technicians there replacing this box, I spoke with a gentlemen who very confidently told me that 'of course you have FiOS access, and anyone who tells you otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about!' He also proceeded to show me that the VZ FiOS poles that are (literally) directly in front of my house and around my entire block, which have black boxes with wiring around them, mean that FiOS does provide service to these poles and this neighborhood.
After doing google research and corroborating that the poles in front of my house are indeed Verizon FiOS poles, I decided to dwell on this issue and look up other addresses on my block (both even and odd addresses) and found out, that most of my neighbors (including my next door neighbors on both sides of the street!!) all have FiOS and that actually majority of my avenue (Appleby Avenue in 10305 SI, NY) supposedly has Verizon FiOS services according to the Verizon website and actually talking to residents! So far, after checking about 10 addresses all on the same avenue, both odd and even, 6-7 are Verizon customers.
Now, I proceeded to contact customer support and see if I can get this issue resolved, and after speaking with 3-4 different agents over the course of 1-2 weeks, the very last person I spoke with proceeded to tell me that I am too far away from the central database to have service (????? what does this even mean??? My next door neighbor who is about 4 steps from my house is in distance and I'm not???) If it is the case indeed that I do not have FiOS access can someone explain why I have Verizon FiOS poles all around my block, one literally in front of my house, others about 5-10 steps walking distance from me that I can't get it, and a Verizon FiOS provider box about 100 yards from my house, am I not covered?
TLDR; I have TW and I hate it, we need to switch, was told by VZ FiOS technician I have service on block, but cannot confirm, and we want to switch now but we can't and need help. Thank you for all and any help!!!!!

Hello, I am going to bump this and reiterate my experience with the ridiculously unprofessional customer support-it's like I'm dealing with Time Warner #2 here.
I have called customer support on Saturday and was promised that my address was to be put in by Wednesday latest. Received phone call on Sunday that FiOS was available at my address and that I could sign up, but then the representative put me on hold and then picked up the phone and said he would call back in 1 day and just dropped the call....
Called back today, was redirected 8...yes 8 times in one sitting until I gave up. I even spoke with a very rude supervisor from Arizona named Justin who kept cutting me off, wouldn't let me speak, and in return had no idea how to help me when my only issue was trying to purchase FiOS because the VZ representative called me to sign up and then never called back. WTH FiOS? Do you not want my money???

Extend wireless network - have FIOS and AP Express

Hi all,
I've found bits and pieces of answers in various posts, but I'm not 100% sure I understand if it will work for me, so I figured I would explain my setup in detail and see what the best options are as far as hookups, equipment, etc.
I have FIOS with the Actiontec router. The Actiontec is in a media closet under a staircase (not ideal for signal strength I know) in the family room on the 1st floor of my house. I only use the Actiontec for DHCP. I have an AirPort Extreme (b/g/n) bridged to the Actiontec that creates my wireless network.
I use Airtunes on the Extreme to stream music (iTunes and other web content like Last.fm) to my home theater, which is also in the media closet. I would like to keep that functionality.
I would like to extend the coverage of my wireless network as the signal isn't so great on the second floor. My preference would be to not run ethernet if I can avoid it, but it is certainly an option. (NOTE: The FIOS line comes into a control panel in a bedroom in the 2nd floor of my house, and there's a phone matrix panel in there as well. Not sure if I could convert some of the phone lines to ethernet and put the router up there, but that is not something I would be proficient at.)
My questions:
Can I use another Express to extend my existing Express? (I don't think so...)
I might be able to get an AirPort Extreme on the cheap - I assume I could put this in the media closet with the Actiontec and use that as my primary wireless and then take my existing Express and put that upstairs and use it to extend the Extreme? But I would lose the ability to stream music with AirTunes, which is a deal breaker. Would I need another Express in the media closet just for AirTunes?
Does the AppleTV provide AirTunes and would that be an option for the streaming music portion?
Any suggestions appreciated!

Some homes that are pre-wired with Ethernet, use the CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable for both computer data and phone service. Those that do, will not be able to support Gigabit Ethernet as all four pairs of wires in the Ethernet cable are used.
I'll need to check what I actually have. The whole house was pre-wired for phone obviously, but in one room there is also an ethernet port, and there's an ethernet port in the control panel. So I don't know if that one is different or not. But it sounds like I'd be limited in either case. I don't know a whole lot about phone wiring.
The other option is to consider Powerline adapter. These take advantage of your home's electrical circuit to create a pseudo Ethernet one. In this case you would place an adapter at each router location, and then, connect the routers to the adapters by an Ethernet cable.
So in my scenario where my Actiontec router is in a closet, I would connect that to a Powerline and then in another room upstairs I would have a second Powerline and would connect that to an AXn or AE? And then on this upstairs AXx or AE router extend (or duplicate) my existing wireless network? Did get that right? And the performance/speed is pretty good?
Actually yes. You can use another AXn to extend the wireless range of the first one. However, distance & building materials (walls, ceilings, etc.) may prevent this from working properly ... especially if your goal also includes HD video streaming.
Is this done by setting up a WDS?
Any wireless router can pass the iTunes stream. Only the AX or Apple TV can use it to actually provide the stream to speakers or audio receiver for playback. That is because the Extreme does not have any type of audio circuity.
I need the stream to my audio receiver, so I would need the AX or ATV in he media closet.
The current Apple TV does support AirTunes and can be a destination for iTunes streaming. The new Apple TV introduces a "upgraded" version of AirTunes, called AirPlay which allows for video streaming as well.
So even if I used the ATV for AirTunes/Airplay, I'd still need a wireless router in the media closet downstairs and another AXn upstairs to extend the network, which is probably more equipment than I need.
So my options seem to be:
1. buy another AXn and put that upstairs and extend the existing AXn network. But suffer diminished performance.
or
2. buy a Powerline adapter to extend ethernet upstairs and buy another AXn for upstairs to extend the network. Better performance.
I guess I will take a look at Powerline adapters and see what they run.

You are really best off in setting it up on the computer that will be used for back ups and itunes. The pad will only respond to a single machine. If you set it up on yours, the first time he goes to update it, it will erase the contents and try to start over.

I have FIOS and the latest version of the Airport Extreme Basestation set up in bridge mode.

I have an older version Airport Extreme Basestation that I would like to connect to the CAD 5 cable on the second floor where the WiFi signal is weak as the main Airport is in the basement. How would I connect the second Airport to the Airport that is in Bridge Mode? Will this setup mess up my signal strength on either CAD 5 or WiFi? Connect from a LAN <-> port on the Bridge Mode AirPort to the WAN "O" port on the second floor AirPort and then use AirPort Utility on a Mac or iPad to set things up.

Nothing will be messed up, and you will have a much stronger WiFi signal upstairs.
If you need more details on setup.....we need to know.....
1) What model number of AirPort Extreme will be upstairs. The model number is usually embedded in the foam base on the bottom of the device. Starts with an "A" followed by four numbers. Example.....A1143.
2) What operating system you are using on your Mac, or whether you want to use the iPad for the setup...assuming that the upstairs AirPort is compatible.

Dirsync - does it have to be done at forest level?

Single Forest
3 Domains (DomainA, DomainB, DomainC)
Each domain has a separate Azure Tenant, the key is not to have user "bleed" between tenants thus only users in DomainA are in AzureTenantA, users in DomanB in AzureTenantB etc. As I understand it the only way to achieve this
is to install a DirSync server per domain but at Forest level and then apply filters to stop the sync'ing of the all the users within the entire Forest into the Azure tenants.
Which brings me to the question in the title of this thread, does DirSync have to be done at the forest level?

With a bit of testing I've got this working now.
I built a test Active Directory on-premise with a single root domain forest with two tree domains like so:
The plan is to only sync the users from DomainA into AAD.
I've installed DirSync onto the DC in DomainA and configured a service account within this domain. This service account needs adding to the Enterprise Admins group in the root forest domain. I also had to add the account to the domain admins group
within DomainA as well.
On configuring DirSync I hit a "constraint violation" error, this was resolved by giving delegated access with "Replication permissions" to the service account created by DirSync (usually MSOL_xxxx) to DomainA. This allowed
the configuration of DirSync to run.
If I now run a full sync the AAD is populated with users from DomainA, DomainB and Forest. This isn't what I wanted.....so off to DirSync FIM Synchronization service.
In here I opened the "Active Directory Connector" within the Management Agents. Select "Configure Connector Filter" -> "User" and add two new filters based on "UserPrincipalName" with an "Contains"
operator for the two domain I don't need (DomainB and Forest).
Forced a Sync and hey presto I have only DomainA users in AAD.
Hopefully this information will be helpful to others.

sure.
the ppt has to be some kind of 'video' iM supports.
so export it from with MS Office as a Quicktime movie, preffered with 'Animation' codec, or as appleintermediatecodec .. for quality reasons.
you need the Talking Head as a 2nd video.
then use iM's Pic-In-Pic feature to combine both videos as wanted.
I would suggest to do some editing (you full-screen, the ppt full-screen, perhaps 'close ups' of some charts, cut-aways to snoozing audience, etc) to 'pep' the video. for this purpose, it could be much esier to export each slide from within PPT as a jpeg and create the 'flow' in iM only... except, you need the ppt-animations ... but, who uses animations in a presentation anyhow ... ?

Assuming you have iPhoto 9 (11) give this a try: make a temporary, backup copy of the library if you don't already have one (Control-click on the library and select Duplicate from the contextual menu) and try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Since only one option can be run at a time start with #3 followed by #4 and #1 as needed.
3 - try adding a page after each fix.

You installed the Conduit spyware. To remove it, triple-click the following line of text to select it:

That's probably the MobileMe or iCloud password.
Go to System Preferences > Mobile Me (or iCloud). If you're not logged-in, do so. If you are, log out and back in again.
