Neo speech and french voice

Hi All,
How can I add a french voice to captivate/neospeech ? If it not possible, is there a workaround ?

Captivate 7 Neo speech only 1 voice

I have downloaded the patch for Captivate 7 Neo Speech. But when I run Captivate I still only have 1 voice, Anna. I thought there should be several voices including a man's voice. How do I get all voices?

You may download a new installer for Captivate 7 x64 voices using these instructions :
1) Click on Start -> Documents
2) Right click on Address Bar -> Edit Address
3) Paste this address : ftp://cust-dl:$[email protected]/PPBU$[email protected]/PPBU
4) You will see a list of files and folders
5) Copy this file : Captivate_7_Voices_x64_118.zip
6) Paste on your computer (Documents or Desktop)
Once the file is download, extract all the contents and run the installer.

Neo Speech not working

I have just installed Adobe Captivate 8 on my PC (64 bit) I also have installed the Neo Speech program. I can see all the 'characters' in the folder so I know they have downloaded and installed on my PC. However when I go to convert text to speech it states that I have not downloaded Neo-speech and I only have 'Anna' has an option. Is there something else that I can do

Adobe Captivate 5.5 and Neo Speech: issue to use Paul voice

Hello,
I have installed succesfully Adobe Captivate 5.5 and then Neo speech Add-on. But unfortunately, when using Speech management function, I can't find Paul and Kate voice. These voices are not proposed in the voice list while the installation has suceeded.
A Kate and Paul directories have been install under Adobe Captivate 5.5 but I don't know why these voices seems to be not installed.
My PC uses Windows XP, default language = french. Adobe Captivate has been installed in English.

First I have installed Adobe Captivate 5.5.
Then I have installed Neo spech.
I have restarted my PC, then launch Captivate: Paul and Kate voices are not present in Speech Manager. And I have no special error message, only voices missing.
After that I have installed Loquendo speechs.
Launch again Captivate and see that Loquendo voices are pesent in Speech Manager.
Now I will show you Neo Speech install report, installation done after an Captivate application stop:
The installation has succeeded in the good directory.
When installing Loquendo the report is not really the same, it seems that some additional execution are done:
Following other discussions on the forum, I have looked at my Windows Control Panel Voice and see that 3 voices are proposed. I assume that these are Windows voice. I didn't find Stefan, Simon, Kate or Paul voices and I'm not ablle to add or configure something.

Neo Speech voices not installing in 5.5.

Have tried several times unsuccessfully to install Neo Speech (Kate + Paul) in Cp 5.5. I am not clear exactly which folder with 5.5 these should be directed to when running the .exe file, which could be the problem. Some attempts result in the following error message:
a problem occured whle extracting some files. check availalble space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm running a 32 bit system here, so perhaps this situatoin is different. Pointing the Neospeech install to the Cp 5.5 just doesn't seem to work, which leads me to believe that that they're not installing in the correct location. When I launch Cp there is nothing available but Microsoft Anna, and no other voices visible in Speech Management.
In 5.0 the Kate and Paul voices are in the VT folder in the main Cp folder. Copying this to 5.5 does not work either.
Tried reinstalling Cp 5.5 this morning, which was did not change anything. Never had any problems installing the voices in previous versions, so this is quite frustrating.
Given the Kate voice is used in most of my projects, I may have to stick with 5.0 for now. Burning up way too much time troubleshooting this.

Query regarding speech and telephony api

hello everybody,
i am thinking of doing my academic project in java. according to the project requirement i need to call a phone (pstn or mobile) from a pc and give a voice message to the receiver of the phone call. i thought of doing it with java speech api and telephony api. i would also like to know about javaphone api , java communications api and media framework. can the objective be achieved using the latter three? or do i have to go for speech and telephony api only. i am really confused. please guide me.
where can i download jtapi library?
also suggest some good tutorial for jsapi and jtapi.

Apply a Batch Process of Clean Up and Level Voice Over?

I want to apply a batch proces of "Clean Up and Level Voice Over," which is a preset.
However, batch processes can only use "favorites." So I try to create a favorite with the preset.
But this gives me an error, "A new favorite could not be recorded because no supported actions were recorded."
Can this be done? If so, what am I missing or doing wrong? I've read the help on the favorites and I'm following those instructions. I start recording, select the presets, apply, then stop recording and I get the error.
If I just select the presets and don't apply them to a wav file while recording preset, I get the same error, "A new favorite could not be recorded because no supported actions were recorded."
Please advise.

Audition CS 5.5 could record individual effects as favorite operations, but not effects racks. (While I can't discuss what's coming in CS 6 right now, I might suggest that this problem was one that bothered many of us on the team and one that we actively pursued solving early in CS 6 development...)
The workaround I can suggest right now would be to Start Recording a Favorite, then open and apply each effect from the Clean Up and Level Voiceover preset one at a time, with the Default settings.
1. Adaptive Noise Reduction
2. Speech Volume Leveler
3. Hard Limiter
Then Stop Recording the Favorite and it should behave equivalent to the effects rack preset when used in the Batch Process tool.

One number for faxing and for voice

Hi,
I would like to know if it possible to have one number for faxing and for voice.
What I have read up is that Cisco can detect the fax tones. What I would like to do is route all inbound faxes to a viop dial-peer and all voice to another e1 port.
I am just looking for some more info if this can be done.

Yes this is possible with either cisco fax relay or t.38 fax relay.

Go to Settings > General > International > Keyboards > check those you want to use.
Then when a keyboard comes up there will be a globe symbol next to the space bar, tap that to cycle through the keyboards to the one you want...that also links the appropriate dictionary.

Missing translations for Italian and French

Hello Experts, I have successfully installed a ECC 6.0 server-ABAP +JAVA system (DB2 v9.5 FP4 windows server 2008-x64 bit). Kernel: 700 , Patch: 185 ; SP level : rel 700 , level 17. I have created 3 clients : 100, 700, 701
I have installed 2 languages apart from default ones -- Italian and french.
My issue is there are missing translations for few transactions when i log in italian and french and this problem is only with client 100(clients 700, 701 have no missing translation issue).
For example, if i log in to client 100 in Italian or French and go to t-code FS00, the Tabs(Type/descripton,control data,Create/bank interest , Key word/translation, Informamtion (C/A) ) are displayed in english instead of italian or french.
I have already followed Note 1156507 - Language supplementation, RSREFILL and client maintenance.Still facing the same issue.Requesting expert help.

You can run client maintainance again in client 100 and check.

Any suggestions for choir and Gregorian voice samples for EXS24?

I need good choir and Gregorian voice samples for the EXS24 and have not found much to choose from on the internet. Spectrasonics' Symphony of Voices is $500 and is not EXS24 format although they claim because it is Akai format, EXS24 should read it. Still, it's a lot of cash to drop on a sample set without it being in EXS24 format. I need choir and Gregorian voices that will work well for a gothic sound. Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks.

The Spectrasonics set is very, very good, and it converts into the EXS (from the Akai, at least) quite nicely.
Whether or not it's worth that kind of doe is only something you can decide. I never regretted buying that library though. The Pop stacks are worth it alone if you ever need "Enya" type vocal pads. I still haven't found anything better.
And the specialized stuff, like the Gregorian chants, is all extremely well done.

How can we send and receive voice in same program

Please can any one suggest me how to send and receive voice in the same program. I want both AVTransmit & AVReceive in the same program i tried it but its too difficult to do it.. Any one has got that code? And also i want my program to know if any third person is wanting to call me.. I mean how to recognise a new call. Please relpy to the following mail id.. Codecs displayed in Chinese and French ...

For some reason on my MBP, some FCP easy settings codecs are described in Chinese, whilst on my G5 they are sometimes in French. As I am British this is rather annoying!
I have deleted all languages other than English from FCP and my System Prefs are set to English too.
I have trashed preferences (FCP Attic), deleted all the Easy Setups and Custom Setups and replaced them with the English setups directly from the FCS2 install disk (using Pacifist), but I still have some Chinese and French settings turning up!
I have even checked the remaining setup files using Textedit and they all seem to be in English. I can't even locate any of the errant files.
Can anyone help me get rid of these very, very annoying interlopers?

I can understand that concern, X.
Our forums font expert, Kurt Lang, has an interesting online article in which he states:
"Apple has made it nearly impossible to remove critical fonts in Leopard, 10.5. If you attempt to remove protected fonts from the /System/Library/Fonts/ folder, the OS will tell you that you cannot remove the font(s) and replaces them from copies in another location. Sometimes immediately, at other times, after you have restarted. Even if it doesn't immediately replace Lucida Grande, the OS continues to use it from the protected location, preventing you from losing control of your Mac."
Of course, a lot of folks are not using Mac OS X 10.5, so yeah, they should be extra careful with this stuff.

Maintaining F1 help in English and French

Hi,
I have a request for all users to have the SRM in English.
But in France, we would like to have the context menu in French.
With above requirement, I have following questions: -
1. Can this online help overwrite standard one if standard one exists? If yes, how?
2. Can we maintain translations and propose choice of language if the user is connected in EN or will we have to maintain the u201CEnglishu201D text both in English and French?
3. What is the procedure to maintain this Context help? Creation in dev system and then transport?
4. Can we highlight somehow the fact that for a specific field we have a context help?

Hi,
if you want to provide F1 help in both EN and FR while users are logged on in EN, then this is a customer specific requirement.
SAP standard would be that English speaking users logon with EN (and getting F1 help in EN only - without a choice to select an alternative language) and French speaking users logon with FR (getting both F1 help and standard menus in FR).
Of course you can extend the SAP standard help by additional texts, but this is somehow treated like a modification and you need to save this during upgrades or applying support packages ...
Hence I would recommend to use the standard and let French speaking users logon in French.
