Neo Speech for Captivate 8

I am looking to install NeoSpeech with System Center onto Captivate 8.
I have already packaged the Captivate 8 and it installs successfully.
I tried to run the neospeech setup.exe --mode=silent but nothing installs. I read that for Captivate 7 you need to create an update package, I tried to do this, but when I pointed it at the ZIP files I was told they were invalid.
Have I to create xml install files ? I see there is one under the payloads directory, and one under packages.
Please help.

Please try recreating the preferences and see if it works for you .
Close Adobe Captivate 8
Rename Adobe Captivate 8 folder from "C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Adobe\ folder
Launch Adobe Captivate 8
Create a blank project and then check for voices under "Speech Management" window

Adobe Captivate 5.5 and Neo Speech: issue to use Paul voice

Hello,
I have installed succesfully Adobe Captivate 5.5 and then Neo speech Add-on. But unfortunately, when using Speech management function, I can't find Paul and Kate voice. These voices are not proposed in the voice list while the installation has suceeded.
A Kate and Paul directories have been install under Adobe Captivate 5.5 but I don't know why these voices seems to be not installed.
My PC uses Windows XP, default language = french. Adobe Captivate has been installed in English.

First I have installed Adobe Captivate 5.5.
Then I have installed Neo spech.
I have restarted my PC, then launch Captivate: Paul and Kate voices are not present in Speech Manager. And I have no special error message, only voices missing.
After that I have installed Loquendo speechs.
Launch again Captivate and see that Loquendo voices are pesent in Speech Manager.
Now I will show you Neo Speech install report, installation done after an Captivate application stop:
The installation has succeeded in the good directory.
When installing Loquendo the report is not really the same, it seems that some additional execution are done:
Following other discussions on the forum, I have looked at my Windows Control Panel Voice and see that 3 voices are proposed. I assume that these are Windows voice. I didn't find Stefan, Simon, Kate or Paul voices and I'm not ablle to add or configure something.
If someone has an idea of the issue

Captivate 7 Neo speech only 1 voice

I have downloaded the patch for Captivate 7 Neo Speech. But when I run Captivate I still only have 1 voice, Anna. I thought there should be several voices including a man's voice. How do I get all voices?

You may download a new installer for Captivate 7 x64 voices using these instructions :
1) Click on Start -> Documents
2) Right click on Address Bar -> Edit Address
3) Paste this address : ftp://cust-dl:$[email protected]/PPBU$[email protected]/PPBU
4) You will see a list of files and folders
5) Copy this file : Captivate_7_Voices_x64_118.zip
6) Paste on your computer (Documents or Desktop)
Once the file is download, extract all the contents and run the installer.

I looked all over the Adobe site. Where can I find the text to Speech utility for Captivate 4 and the voices that go with it. A URL to the download site would be perfect.

I am trying to create a package for Captivate 8 that includes NeoSpeech voices

I am packaging Captivate 8 using Creative Cloud packager. I need to add the NeoSpeech voices to the package. I run the packager to build the package with the msi using our enterprise license which gives me the applications along with patches. There is nothing for NeoSpeech though and I need to include NeoSpeech with the msi.

In order to create msi package of Neo Speech Voices of Captivate 8, you have to use Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition 3.1 ( AAMEE 3.1 ).

How do I install Neospeech voices for Captivate trial version?

Save the zip file and then extract it. Run the setup file from extracted folder and it will install Neospeech voices.

Neo Speech not working

I have just installed Adobe Captivate 8 on my PC (64 bit) I also have installed the Neo Speech program. I can see all the 'characters' in the folder so I know they have downloaded and installed on my PC. However when I go to convert text to speech it states that I have not downloaded Neo-speech and I only have 'Anna' has an option. Is there something else that I can do

Reset your preferences and (if required) reinstall NeoSpeech. Check out point no. 8 on Rod's blog post on how to reset here:

Neo Speech voices not installing in 5.5.

Have tried several times unsuccessfully to install Neo Speech (Kate + Paul) in Cp 5.5. I am not clear exactly which folder with 5.5 these should be directed to when running the .exe file, which could be the problem. Some attempts result in the following error message:
a problem occured whle extracting some files. check availalble space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm running a 32 bit system here, so perhaps this situatoin is different. Pointing the Neospeech install to the Cp 5.5 just doesn't seem to work, which leads me to believe that that they're not installing in the correct location. When I launch Cp there is nothing available but Microsoft Anna, and no other voices visible in Speech Management.
In 5.0 the Kate and Paul voices are in the VT folder in the main Cp folder. Copying this to 5.5 does not work either.
Tried reinstalling Cp 5.5 this morning, which was did not change anything. Never had any problems installing the voices in previous versions, so this is quite frustrating.
Given the Kate voice is used in most of my projects, I may have to stick with 5.0 for now. Burning up way too much time troubleshooting this.

Hi all, I'm currently using a volume license registered version of Captivate 4. Would like to utilize text-to-speech feature, but whenever I try to enable, a download window pops up, I click it, and it directs me to a "buy captivate 5" webpage. Can anyone provide me with a working URL to download the text-to-speech files for Captivate 4? Also would like instructions on how to proceed after download. Thanks!

Dirk, the Menu Wizard does not have a feature to
restrict users from going to various sections (slides) until
they have visited other sections (slides).
However, you might be able to accomplish this by 1) using
some creative branching or 2) breaking your project up into
separate movies - 1 for each section. At the end of section 1 -
there is a Click Box or Button that will launch section 2. In this
case, the Menu Wizard would be used for navigation within 1 movie
(section) at a time.

How to get more features for Captivate 6

Hi all,
I've installed Captivate 6 on my laptop at work, I use it for creating training material for our project management system. I was just looking at some Adobe video tutorial and there are some features shown in the videos that I can't find on my captivate (for example Drag and Drop interaction, some particular widget like "Hangman" etc...). I tried to download them, clicking on the "Download more interactions" but there are any available. So, is there a way to get those features, at least those shown in your video tutorial for Captivate 6?

I have the version 6.0, so maybe I can't get those features because of the version that I have.
Even if I click on "Download more" on the Interactions window, there are no Interactions available, but is it a problem related to my version or it's because there aren't available new features?

I cannot remember for the Hangman interaction anymore, but Drag&Drop was only available for subscription users, for version 6.1.0.3190 Maybe it was not clear in the video you are pointing at, that not all features were available for box licenses. Which version do you have?
