Nero's Free edition of Burning Rom is a big flop

Its overly bloated for its very limited functions, and contains too much upsell for its premium product.

  • NERO Burning ROM & disk images

    hi,
I have successfully downloaded the images, unzipped them and appended the .iso
    extension to the extracted files.
Firstly, Nero burning rom 5.0.2 is what I am using. Is this the correct version ?
Secondly, the .iso extension is not associated with any application (win98)
and certainly Nero complains of 'unexpected file format' if I try to open the
    image in Nero for burning.
Thirdly, as an experiment, if Nero determines a 'foreign image format' then
it will hang when trying to write to CD. (This was a pointless exercise on my
    part, I think).
Finally, a question on the procedure as well. Are images 2 & 3, also bootable
    images ??
    Thanks in advance.

Images seems to me OK. After downloading and unzipping images I used WinOnCD 3.6 to
burn disks. It went smoothly and indeed first CD-ROM is bootable. ( Another question is
why I can boot it from my Dell Latitude notebook but it stops when trying to boot on
Toshiba SP 4310 nootebok ). Now I try to install it but after loading kernel and choosing language
computer starts something ( displaying aaaaa ) and stops with long beep.

  • Nero Burning Rom Registration

    Hello,
installing Nero Burning Rom Suite 2015 Premium, all went okay. When starting any application of the suite i am asked for registration which is normal for a new installation. I fill in the form, send it and get an success message : "Thank you
for registering your Software". So far everything seems okay. But when starting next time the same application, registration procedure starts again. Applications run without registration with no problems, but the always poping up registrating form
    is irritating.
    Any Suggestion ?
    Klaus

    Hi KwKF,
You can download Nero 2015 for Windows 10 64-bit.

P.S. Very sorry, the above page is not for downloading.
You can download via several sites such as http://www.downloadx64.com/nero-2015/
Search with the word "Nero2015-16.0.04100_trial.exe", and you'll find it.

  • What is the best free program to burn mp4 to dvd w/o watermark?

what is the best free program to burn mp4 to dvd w/o watermark?

    Terrabay:
I prefer iDVD for image quality of the final slideshow but you can't have KB effect and can only have one type of transition per slideshow. You can have text and music, however. For what you want to do I agree with Terence that PhototoMovie is probably your best bet. It produces some fine quality movie clips. I only used it once quite a while ago so can't make a judgement on if it's easier than iMovie.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

  • Where can you find free InDesign CS3 templates for newsletters, or free editable examples of good newsletters in the InDesign format?

I am looking for free newsletter templates or free editable examples of good newsletters made using InDesign CS3.  Anyone know of a great spot for finding these?

That would make sense if it opened a template folder but it opens the most recent Bridge folder I had open.
Edit: Just tried it again and the template folder came right up. Thanks.

  • DVR to Imovie to edit to burn DVD

Goal - To post my 2-5 minute TV segments on my website. I need to edit an hour show to my 2-5 minutes, burn DVD's and convert to post on website. I thought I would record a DVD (need to get a DVD recorder) from the DVR, convert it to an MP4 and download it into Imovie to edit but an hour show takes days to download.
There must be a quicker way. Can I download directly from the DVR into Imovie? Use my DAC to convert or buy Quicktime Pro to edit and burn an edited DVD?
I don't mind spending a little money for ease as I am technically challenged. I would greatly appreciate anyone's advise.
    Thank you.
    I have:
    Dish DVR 722
    Dac Converter
    MAC OS X 10.5.3
    Imovie 5. and 8.

I'm not familiar with DVRs, but the well reputated Streamclip offers support for downloading via firewire from some DVR-like devices...
for converting the files, you probably need the 20$ Apple mpeg2-playback-plug-in....
hope, that is a little help...

  • The main reason i bought a Mac was to edit and burn my own videos. I now find i cant burn any of my videos to DVD, What am I supposed to do?

The main reason i bought a Mac was to edit and burn my own videos. I now find i cant burn any of my videos to DVD, What am I supposed to do?

Why can't you do this? There's plenty of third-party software that can do the job. Download a few from
MacUpdate or CNET Downloads and try them out before choosing one to purchase.

  • How would I edit and burn HD 3D home movies at 1080i/60i to a Blu ray player on an iMac?

I own a Sony HDR-TD30V HD 3D Camcorder and would like to edit and burn my 3D home videos (1080i/60i) to a Blu ray capable of playing on a home blu ray player or PS3 using iMac software.

Well, you won't be doing 3D with Final Cut Express!  (With FCE you could edit 2D filmed with your camcorder @ 1080i60 but not 3D.)
For that matter, Final Cut Pro X doesn't even handle 3D out of the box.  But there is a third-party plugin called Stereo 3D Toolbox that works with Final Cut Pro X.
As for BluRay, you will need an external BluRay burner and software that supports it ... like Roxio Toast Titanium.
Also, I noticed that your profile says you are using OS X 10.6.8 - I strongly suggest upgrading to 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 (Mt. Lion) before investing in FCP-X and other video software.

  • AIM Free edition showing white screen?

Hi, I have a 3GS with OS 3.1.2. I had AIM (Free Edition) installed, and it has been working fine for a week, until yesterday. Now, whenever I open the app, it only shows a white screen with the lines (8 of them).
I've tried removing the app from my iPhone, and then installing it using my iTunes but that didnt help. Installing the app using the iPhone doesnt work either.
    Please help.
    Thanks.

I reckon it's a problem at the AIM end. I've been using AIM on iPhone (O2) every day for weeks and it;s been fine until yesterday.

  • Is there a free edition of server 2003 or 2008?

    Hello,
is there a free edition of server 2003 or 2008 that does not have an expiration day?
i have a copy which had 180 days trial period but now is expired...

There are evaluation versions, they do expire, most you can rearm a number of times depending on the flavor so you can get up to a year under the evaluation, finding 2003 or 2008 may be challenging. If you require those you may need to buy a Volume
license that will come with a option and keys to downgrade.
Depending on your use there are a couple of programs from Microsoft that have some free licensing available to you, Webspark (discontinued),  Bizspark if you are a small startup business in the tech field, and dreamspark if you are a student. All are
free to join if you qualify.

  • Want to record edit and burn dvds of videos from canon camcorder what is the best way

what is the easiest way to transfer recordings from my canon camcorder hd to dvds after editing. The new imovie does not have idvd on it to burn dvds.

I'm assuming you're editing in iMovie? If you still have an older retail version of iLife, you can use that to install iDVD - I am using it with mavericks. Or, the retail 09 and 11 iLife disks are still available at some online resellers. The best thing out there still is iDVD with its customizable menus, themes, etc. However, there are other options for just burning: one good ons is Roxio Toast; then there is the free app Burn (basic I'm told, but works). Or google for others. Personally, I'd get iDVD.
The new iMovie (or the older versions) did not have iDVD built in - it's just a link to the iDVD application. FWIW, I prefer to use the older iMovie versions because they have more quality options to choose from when exporting. With the new iMovie, choose to export to file and choose your recording size and then you can drag that file into a burning app (or iDVD if you get it).

  • 10.5.6 update has completely killed audio editing and burning capabilities

So I ran the 10.5.6 update last night 12/19/2008. I downloaded the update to a flash drive and copied it to my desktop (My Macmini isn't connected to the Internet). I ran the update, and everything seemed to be OK. It was late at night so I went to bed. I woke up and did some errands, then came home to resume my mp3 file cleaning using Roxio CDSpinDoctor.
The app won't launch now (neither will Toast). I've been to the Roxio support site and they are just now becoming aware that Apple's update kills their software. So far about three dozen people have the same issue. I'm not alone in this, so I know the problem isn't my mini. Everything worked fine until this update. I've read here about problems with Time machine, internet, and mail since this crap was unleashed on us.
I used to trust Apple updates, because unlike Windows, they used to test them before releasing them, to make sure they wouldn't destroy peoples other software (remember Windows XP SP2?) I guess Cupertino is just becoming another Redmond.
I'm going back to Tiger and forget about Leopard.

Update: I am no longer able to burn CDs from iTunes, or Dragonburn either, and they BOTH worked before this update.
Quicktime editing of mp3s is slow, and saving takes about three times longer than it did two days ago.
I'm definitely erasing this drive and putting 10.4 back on.

  • Using an External Hard Drive for iMovie Editing and Burning to DVD

Between iPhoto, iTunes and other applications I am rapidly running out of hard drive space on my 2003 iMac. Because of this, I recently purchased a Lacie 250 GB Firewire external hard drive and was hoping to use it for iMovie editing and buring of DVDs, because of the large amount of disk drive space video eats up. Is it it possible to "load" iMovie and iDVD to the external drive and edit/burn videos on that drive? If not, is there some other way to use that external drive in this process? Thanks in advance for any assistance that can be provided.

    Scooper
see my reply to Trollus, just posted:
That's how I do all my stuff now - via external lacie 'brick' drive. The only trick is when you begin your iMovie project, hit save immediately after creating the new project, and save the project file in an appropriately named folder on the external hard drive (don't call it 'Movies' as it'll be confused with your Powerbook's movies folder). Then as you import all your clips from your movie camera, they will be written to the external drive, rather than you G4's drive. Very handy.
I do all my iMovie and iDVD stuff via the external Lacie drive - the FireWire 400 interface is quick enough (ie never had skipped clips, etc). I also save all iDVD finished projects as disc images on the external drive and burn DVDs from those at slow speed via Disc Utility. No coasters...:-)
