Nested tables don't look right in design mode

When I view www.akashhealingcenter.com with IE or Safari,
everything looks fine. However, when I open the page in DW 2004,
the tables don't look correct while in design or code/design mode.
I've driven myself nuts trying to find out what I can do so
that it looks correct.
If I can get it to look right, I can turn daily maintenance
(text updates mostly) to someone else - however, with the design
looking so unlike the actual web page, I can't.
I'm assuming the nested tables, graphic image backgrounds in
the table data, etc. are driving DW 2004 nuts. I really don't want
to spring for a new version of DW, so I hope that's not the answer.

Works for me on Linux in Firefox 3.6.x and 4.0.1.
However that is a font face="Wingdings 2" and such fonts that remap the basic ASCII set are not supported.<br />
It is better to use Unicode replacements.

Layout dosn't look right in design view

I have made the following to re-create the cross pattern I used for a FrontPage website:

It looks right in the browser, but when I view the page in design view (CS4) the navigation lines up on the left with the blue header and underneath it. Is this just something that happens? Or can I do something to avoid it? It looks fine in Live View.

This happens sometimes and it can be disconcerting, but the reality is design view is meaningless. I'd much rather have it perfect in the browser and not in DV thn the other way around. Code looks good, I'd not worry about it and let F12 be your freind.

Pages look fine in Design mode but Preview and Publish Distorted Footers

I'm experiencing some unusual issues with Muse. Footers on some of my pages are either not displaying content or distorting them..for example:

I went so far as to delete ALL the files on the server and upload the entire site and all files from scratch to make sure nothing was colliding.

Yes - I'm sorry I should have come back in and closed the question. It was all being caused by a very simple and short Google+ code that was to display the Google+ logo. As soon as I removed it, the footer rendered correctly. Here is the offending code:

Muse 2014.2.1.10 - place of svg - not showing right in design mode but correct in browser

Hi,
I am trying to place an svg file as a stand alone object and I am not seeing it correctly in design mode at muse. It seems to add a black stripe at the bottom of the svg covering a significant amount of the svg image. When preview at the chrome browser it seems fine and also by using the preview in browser of muse.
Any ideas?

It is weird and kinda frustrating but it appears to be working now (partly). I still can't see the image in Design view but they are now showing up in the browser.
I tested this using the following save settings in Illustrator (both worked this time, but when I tried originally both failed).
Only difference between the two is the Responsive option.

Photos included in table don't print right

I'm having trouble getting the photos (jpg's of about 700KB each) that I have embedded in a table to print right. I have them all set to "Image Fill" and "Scale to Fit". They look beautiful when I preview the print job, and the text prints just fine, but the photos come out with strange exaggerated shadows and highlights and terrible resolution. Total file size is 17MB and I'm working in Pages 1.0.2. Any ideas or suggestions on why this is happening and how I might correct the problem?

welcome to the Pages Discussions. Exists this problem only with tables or are there other problems when you try to print these photos (in shapes, free positioned and with shadows? Do you print the document at home or at a store? Do you print it with Pages or do you export it first to a PDF and print it than? Please describe the way what you are doing more detailed.
By the way, as I know with version 1.x of Pages the PDF export has not the best quality settings like in version 2.x. There is the way to use the ColorSync tool for best PDF exporting. Especially with shadows and Pages 1.x you should go this way for PDF export. Illustrator files don't look right in pdf

Hi! I created some pdfs from a Quark 7 file, using Acrobat 8. In the Quark file are eps files created in Illustrator CS3. I did this at work on a PC and everything looked great. When I tried to do the exact same thing at home... all programs are the same and it's the same file... the ONLY difference is that I'm on a Mac... the charts look wimpy and faded in the new pdf. The graphics are fine... it's the text in the eps that doesn't look good. Any thoughts as to what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks.

PS Some of the text in the Quark file looks wimpier too... but not too bad. Just thought I'd mention it...

Check your Acrobat Page Display settings in Preferences. They may be set different than the Windows computer. Look at the settings in the "Rendering" area.

Dual monitors don't work right in sleep mode

When my computer goes into sleep mode, it stops recognizing that I have two monitors and moves everything to one monitor.
I bought some replacement monitors. It was not an issue with my previous HP monitors.

Nested tables in RTF templates

Hi,
I've developed several templates including nested tables(to display parent/child transactions together in a single column group, displaying all the detail transactions but the parent only once), in PDF output this looks fine. However the users want all their output in Excel, this same layout is not picked up by Excel(all column headers for the data in the nested table move to the right, while all the data in the nested table is grouped under a 'merged cell' column header). Output of BI Publisher reports in Excel is generally terrible with a template designed for publishing in PDF, usually I can solve this with a lot of tweaking but haven't found a solution for this issue yet. Has anyone else run into this formatting issue and may have a tip to solve this?

You need to declare a TYPE object as and then use it in the table structure.

How to delete the NULL entries in nest table

Hi,
After I used a loop and open/fetch cursor populated the object table
I found there are random NULL entries in my object table (nest table)
The data look like this
NULL NULL           NULL
NULL NULL           NULL

NULL NULL           NULL
NULL NULL           NULL

NULL NULL           NULL

How can I get rid of those NULL entries in my nest table? So it can become

I have tried Delete procedure in following two ways.
Version 1:

Version 2:

u can write a report program for this and in that use the event :
AT NEW <field-name> ( use primary key)
your statements
ENDAT
for eg.
loop at itab ( herfe itab must be of type of table for which u want to track new entries)
at new matnr
write:/ new record
endat
endloop.
schedule this report in background to run in every 5 or 10 mins as per your requirement and hence changes can be tracked.

Website created in Dreamweaver CS4 doesn't look right in CS6

I used to have an old version of Dreamweaver (CS4 I think) and my laptop got taken out by a lightening strike. I have had to purchase Dreamweaver CS6 and I have loaded up my website (files recovered from hard drive) but the pages don't look right - wrong colours, wrong font, text missing, buttons not displayed properly etc. any help gratefully received!

Are you sure site files on your hard drive were not damaged by the electrical surge?
Can you GET replacement files from your remote server?

Why are my webpages not looking right or my personas not working as they were?

I opened up my browser yesterday and no matter where I go on the web, the pages don't look right. The graphics are off. I can't even see my yahoo mail. It loads, but I see no words or graphics. My Personas is actually rotating, but all I get visually is a color, no graphics at all. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice to no avail. I'm not sure what to do now. I can use Explorer without any graphics issues, but I really like Firefox much better and would like to get this issue resolved.

In FCE make sure nothing is selected in the timeline before exporting
In the Chapter Marker submenu do NOT erase the <Chapter> slug; it doesn't show up in the chapter title but it must be there
When exporting from FCE try exporting as DVD Studio Pro markers (if it gives you that option) just for a change
In iDVD I believe there is a Preference setting to make sure it recognizes chapter markers; check for that

Nested Tables and Multiple Pages

Hi,
I have a problem with nested tables that span multiple pages.
Lets assume I want to create a list of orders. Each order contains several order items. As long as an order contains less order items than fit to one page the list is rendered correctly. But if an order contain more items all items that can´t be displayed at the first page are cut off.
I´ve tried so many combinations of subforms with flow content and position content, subform sets and "Allow Page Breaks within Content" as well as Layout Property "Expand to fit" but nothing helped.
Can someone tell me if and how I can achieve this. In the meantime I do work in Designer directly with a XML datasource. So I could send you the form and example data.
I´m working with NW04 SP11 and Adobe Designer 6.0

There are some limitations and bugs in your requirement.
Please see the output after copying into notepad.
1.Eventhough if you give overflow leader , the headers for item table will not repeat.it is a bug.this is not solved in designer 7.1 also.
2.There are some accessibilty bugs in case of nested table.
Please follow the below design in the hierachy tab.

Web font not showing in design mode.

Hi all.
I'm having problems all of a sudden with my webfont not showing/ preveiwing in design mode.
eg. the menu currently looks like this (design mode):
when it should like this:
The font i'm using is Babas Neue. It shows perfectly in preveiw mode and when exported but in design mode shows incorrectly. Even the sample in the font drop down is wrong.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to rectify this? I've tried re-installing Muse to no avail.

Design mode error

Hi,
I'm creating a Flex application in which I use several
extended components I created in a separate lib.
In my root application, only for some of the extended
components, I get the following warning:
"Design mode: Error creating item com.foo.bar in parent
Application. Please choose Design > Refresh to refresh design
mode."
The refresh doesn't work, and those components don't appear
in the design mode.
I couldn't find the cause for some of the components to
behave differently.
All the components work as expected when running the app -
the problem is only in the design mode.
Did someone encounter this problem and know how to resolve
it?

It is related to the non-visual components. Sorry I didn't
see this thread earlier.
There is a flag you can use in your code to prevent
instantiating these pieces when you are in design view.
First, import the internal name space and UIComponentGlobals
import mx.core.mx_internal;
import mx.core.UIComponentGlobals;
Inside of your source, you can do the following:
if ( UIComponentGlobals.mx_internal::designTime ) {
//Things to do in design view
} else {
//things to do at runtime
I prevent any validators or rpc services from instantiating
in design view. This has made a world of difference.
