Just purchased a brand new iMAC and sucessfully performed download and install of Mountain Lion (free upgrade). Discovered that dashboard widgets will not download as webpage times_out in both Safari and Firefox. Already set security to allow downloads from 'anywhere' but with no change. Downloads from anywhere else works fine, just widgets won't work, and I've been trying for several days now. Any suggestions? (firewall is off).

Cannot find the right place to download the replacement for lost PS CS6 Extended

My PC with Windows 8.1 became corrupted. I reloaded the OS and thereby lost all of my apps. I cannot find the right place to download the replacement Photoshop CS6 Extended app.
Under Download CS6 products I receive an access denied error.

I can't save pic. from net. "set your download location place as "Pictures"" That button doesn't work, or button for "browse" to send a file.

I am using Firefox for several years and never had any problem. Since i update it to the new Firefox, problems start:
If i am trying to save a picture from ALL internet, it is not working. I am doing in the same way, like always: view image/save image as.... When i click it is not working, and all my screen doing like i make a refresh. I saw something strange files in temp after i am trying to save a picture, files with name like "etilqs" and some other letters after, the files are hidden. When i close firefox, files disappear.
If i am trying to send an e-mail with some files, button for search files in my pc, is not working, and when i click him, same thing with my screen. It is not about what kind of mail i am using, same problem if i want to attache a file on a site, even if i try to change files location in browser setup, like : options/general/save files to/... and i hit "browse..." button, same problem like i want to attache a file. Even here, if i want to use "ADD IMAGES" option, under is browse button, it is not working, same problem with my screen. Like is angry or something.

Java code to download a webpage

I need to write a java code .In which i will pass some url (say www.forum.java.com\index.jsp) to it then it should downlaod all the data and images on this page to my local hard-disk. So that i should be able to see this locally also once it has been downloaded.

Is it true the only safe place to download apps is the APP Store?

Because last time I used a MAC online you could go to a number of well known shareware and freeware sites.Also I read that in System Preferences under Security&Privacy - General - Allow applications downloaded From--you should check Mac App Store and identified developers.
Big question I was on Apple's Dashboard Widget page and downloaded 2-3 widgets and was informed could not open because it is from an unidentified developer.So why are those widgets on Apple's D.Widget page.I'm confused does Apple recommend we only download from their App Store & identified developers or did I get side tracked? I know I may sound stupid but --- help.

No, it is not true the App Store or apps signed by developers is the only place to get apps. But before downloading anything outside of the Apple walled garden, do a thorough search to see if there have been any reported problems with it. Also get WOT, which, though far from perfect, will give you some idea what kind of reputation the site you are downloading from has. There are many perfectly good apps being distributed on very bad sites.

Shocked ! Featured apps in adobe market place - 30 downloads quanp slideshow

I am confused, how does adobe choose the featured app in adobe market place. I am shocked to see today morning that quanp slideshow an app which was downloded only 30 times and not even rated once was in featured app, now it has 90 downlods.
Same case for another featured app peypa paper downloaded less than other apps. Atleast if any highest rated app is there i would have been happy.
Also for months staff picks are same. Adobe Wake up! We are already late in montezation. If we keep adobe market place like this. App developers like us will loose confidence. We together have to prove adobe flash platform no1 and make droid ahead of any other phones and adobe market place no 1 store than any istore in world

Where is the best place to download Histogram equalizers

I found out on cs5 there is a histogram equalizer with in hdr toning...I also found out that there are plugins for histogram qualizers. I did download one called kamflex it was ok but it was noisy. From my learned friends on this site can you recommend others and if so where is the best place to get them. Pornada (free)

Usually for most image editing you really shouldn't need that type of plugin. (it's similar to Image>Adjustments>Equalize)
Is there a specific problem your trying to solve?

Can't find small places on downloaded maps

I downloaded a map of France but Nokia Drive can't find any places other than large cities and airports when searching offline.
Is this right or am I doing something wrong?

Just downloaded Nord-pas-de-Calais and then searched "Offline" for "boulevard saint-beuve,boulogne,france" which it found no problems!

Any one know of a good place to download OS 9 drivers?

I have a powemac G3 B&W 400/1gb RAM/80gb HD and its currently running OS X (10.3.9). I rather enjoy using OS 9.2 on this machine because it seems to run alot faster to me. I also like surfing the net through OS 9 as it seems a lot snappier (personal preference i guess). I have a Hawking HWU54DMA made-for-mac USB wifi adaptor, and it comes with os X drivers and wireless software. If i boot into OS 9 it recognises it as a USB WLAN 802.11b/g adaptor but asks for drivers for it. There are no OS 9 drivers on the website, but since a mac specific product, it should be able to work with 9 right? I was wondering if there was a place to get a generic 802.11b/g wifi adaptor driver for OS 9. If not then oh well, it doesnt hurt to ask i guess.

I looked around the usual places for info...the card was made recently in the post os 9 era so there are no drives in existence for it. Mac OS 9 is a completely different OS that Mac OS X (unix based)so the drivers do completely different things in different ways in a different language. There are many hacks and software to get older products to work under Mac OS X but very very few that go the other way. Since OS 9 was declared dead years ago people have almost completely stopped writing software for it. My advice is keep an eye out on versiontracker.com to see if anyone comes out with anything, but they probably won't, or get an older card on eBay .... sorry

Use DownloadThemall to download complete webpages?

Suppose there is a webpage which contains links to other webpages which contains images.
I would like to download those linked webpages completely (i.e. including those images).
In the webpage, there are many links, so I try to use DownloadThemAll to do the job, instead of manually clicking each link and save the webpages one by one. Firstly I select the links, and then right click to choose "DownloadThemAll! Selection ...", which invokes DownloadThemAll to download those linked webpages. But the downloaded webpages are html only, without the images.
If I just download a complete webpage in Firefox, I can hit Ctrl-s, and choose "Web page, complete". The downloaded webpage has not only the html file, but also a directory containing the images and other resources used in the webpage.
But since now I have many webpages to download and I want to download them completely, I wonder how I can do that? Can DownloadThemAll do that, or can some other addon do that?
