NET framework 2.0 error on P875-S7200

Like many here, I get the NET Framework 2.0 error msg on startup. It's a new machine, using installed Windows 7.
I have downloaded all parts of 2.0. I get either 'it is already in your Operating System' or it fails to install correctly even using Recommended Settings. For Service Packs, I get a error msg that I must use Control Panels to Turn on or off windows components. If I click OK on that msg, the install quits.
BTW: I have activiated every single option on the Control Panel menu. Also ran the Repair Utility for NET 2.0
I can live with the error message on start-up, since it appeared to work well in other respects. But today, I just noticed that the Scan Option of my Lexmark All-in-1 doesn't work. When I launch the Lexmark Productivity Suite to SCAN, I get the start-up message that NET Framework 2.0 is required. (Printing is OK).
Suggestions?

I went to Microsoft.com/download.Used the search window with the term NET 2.0 download.
Out of the list displayed, I either downloaded/installed or attempted to install all applications and service packs listed. I also used the listed net Framework Repair tool. Likewise, the Client Profile for Net 4.0 (in response to a suggestion).
I visited icrosoft Forums, under Windows 7. There was a scad of questions with this error message. I later deduced that my Lexmark printer might be the problem. Many questions on the forum referred to Lexmark products.
I found a list of printers and all-n-ones on the Lexmark.com that were certified compatible with 7 and 8. Mine wasn't on the list. I now suspect the call for 2.0 framework was issued by my scanner, and is not necessarily a Windows problem.
I will inquire of Lexmark.com if they plan to create a new driver, but I doubt it. I'ts an old discontinued model.

  • Net Framework 3.5 installation error in Windows 8.1

    Hi All!
There was a problem with the installation of a Net Framework 3.5 at client computer running Windows 8.1    Installation is not
happening not in full mode not through
Internet.  I'm acted on these instructions.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh506443(v=vs.110).aspx
    thank you in advance!
    Vladimir

    Hi Vladimir,
    What is your current situation?
After you install security update 2966827 or 2966828 (described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS14-046) for the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and then try to enable the optional Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 feature in Windows Features for the first time,
the feature may not be enabled.
To resolve this issue, install update 3005628.

  • Net Framework 3.5 and Windows 8.1 needs a fix

Impossible install NetFramework on a Windows 8.1 updated.

I tried more steps but with 0 results.
In some possible solutions i got this error
Error 0x800f081f  can not find source files (well, was in spanish i tried to translate it)

    Hi hzeros,
    >>Even with an offline installer or doing other steps is not possible, always tries to do a download from windows update and ofc, always fails
Do you mean that if you install .NET Framework 3.5, you always need to download something from windows update? Does this means you need to update your OS, or your windows and service package isn't patched up?
If you have any issue of updating the windows, please don't hesitate to ask here:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_update?tab=Threads
Will you always get error 0x800F0906 whatever method you use to install the NET Framework?
Please read a useful document first.
Installing the .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 8 or 8.1
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh506443(v=vs.110).aspx
From this article, we see the meanings of the 2 errors you encountered.
0x800f0906:  “Windows couldn't connect to the Internet to download necessary files. Make sure that you're connected to the Internet, and click Retry to try again.
”0x800F081F:  “The changes could not be completed. Please reboot your computer and try again.”
You can install .NET Framework 3.5 without internet using the DISM tool. If you can connect internet, you can install it on demand or enable it in control panel.
According to your description, you tried the DISM command-line tool but failed. Here are some friendly reminders.
1.Open a Command Prompt window with administrative credentials
2.Specifies the location of the files needed to restore the feature (in your post, the e:\sources\sxs directory). In other words, you need to put the installation media (ISO image or DVD) you installed Windows 8.1 from in the E driver.

  • Windows is not updating the net.framework

    Good evening Microsoft team,
I am Lizeth Torres a graphic designer who is trying to download any version of the creative cloud software Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. My operating system is Windows 7. When I try to donwload the software,  I received an  error 1935 with the following
message: Error 1935. An error ocurred during the installation of assembly component {5C21D397-1DA5-3749-8C1F-165F21DE9E3E} HRESULT: 0x800736B3.
My operating system is Windows 7.  I am aware that this product is from not from Micrsofot but Adobe. For this reason, I contacted Adobe.com technical support where  a technician from Adobe.com explained me that unless I am not able to update my
Microsoft  NET.framework 3.5.1 that needs to be updated I will not be able to donwload the software.
I tried to unninstall the net.framework and I followed all the steps in many forums I had seen for the past 5 months but the issue is not resolved. When I try to install the update for the net.framework 3.5.1 I received an error: Code 80070643.  I used
the cleanup net.framework tool two months ago I uninstall all the Microsoft NET.framework on my computer  but it does not work. In this moment, I have Microsoft NET.framework 4.5.1 and it is up to date. On the other hand, I have 80 updates that I cannot
update because I receive the same error over and over.
Is there a problem with the windows update feature? Can someone out there help me I really need this software. Thank you a lot for who can try and help me.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/baddns.php
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/hackedrouter.php
If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

  • Can I install net framework 3.5 on a client Windows 8.1 from a Windows Server 2012 R2

I have been trying to install a Windows Feature to a client computer on a LAN from my Windows Server.
The feature that i'm trying to install is .NET Framework 3.5 on a client with Windows 8.1
I have been looking for information on the web to see if is it possible to install the feature from my server (WS2012R2) and I have not found anything yet.
    - The Server and the Client are located on the same subnet.
    - The Server and the Client are virtualized because I've been doing different tests.
    - I just need to install the feature on some clients, not in all of them.
Do I need to apply any policy?
Do I need any special command?
    Is this request possible?
